That should be all the information you need to answer your question. -
He worked in a GAME store. Why on Earth did you think he'd have an excellent knowledge of games? (And he was a manager too.)
Before those who are gamers and work in GAME get on my case, I'm basing my knowledge on the 8 or so GAMEs in and around Glasgow/Edinburgh that I've visited, which are full of people who will drool if you ask them anything more complicated than, "Do you have Wii Fit?" -

Sorry.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHA

Did you pee in it? -
And just in case you don't already do it, the /visscale 4 command also makes an incredible amount of difference to the way the game looks (if your system can handle it).
-
Solo. With only one mission.
That's the situation I'm approaching it from. -

Why do the devs need to know? I'd rather see the contact asking "Why do you not want to do this?" rather than ask the devs. Seems a bit pointless tbh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm, because you're only supposed to drop missions if they are bugged, that was the point of it in the first place...
Seems pretty clear why then. -

That shows off CoH GFX so badly... It looks like Duke Nukem :/ Shouldn't they have got people with decent computers to do those pictures for the wiki? :/
[/ QUOTE ]
Being a wiki, you could upgrade the image? (And then have it revoked by an editor seconds later with far too much time on their hands.... no, I've not had bad experiences with wikis at all, why do you ask?) -

Maybe they could make the cured Lost able to take damage, so you could be entertained by them being shot down by the normal Lost as you waited for the wand to recharge?
[/ QUOTE ]
Careful... your heroic morals are slipping -
[ QUOTE ]
It's like a 5-10 minute job to hit 20 of them - it's not really that much work
[/ QUOTE ]
Technically, with a 12 second recharge, it takes 4 minutes, so if it's taking you that long, then you're doing something wrong
Even so, the amazement at being able to cure the Lost was great the first time, but it just drags on subsequent attempts (at least for me).
I think dropping the recharge time to 6 seconds would go a long way to improving the mission and make it feel like you're accomplishing something fantastic, rather than have you stand there and watch as the Lost comedically shoot their former comrades. -
Either decrease the recharge time on the wand or decrease the number of Lost you have to save.
It's just silly at the moment -

Ah, BBC speak for London.... *rolls eyes* -
Getting long loads going into missions, not so long between zones. (in fact as quick as normal, which is quite quick actually)
Mission server lost some pipe? -

Just like to pose a question altho we do have a filter to stop it,is there any real need for people to use bad language in game? your thoughts on this.
[/ QUOTE ]
People playing the game are from the real world - any real need for bad language there? -
None.
I've got at least one of every AT and even my Defender is fun to play (if rarely) -
Blackwand is exactly the same (Vet or temp version)
-
Don't know if it's related to these changes, but when you pull out the Nemesis Staff or Blackwand you get rooted for 3-4 seconds and the animation and damage don't seem to sync up.
-
[ QUOTE ]
As Nemesis is now such a major factor in the game, I'd like some lower level arcs featuring Automatons, without actually linking them openly to Nemesis - kinda like hobos and aliens situation
[/ QUOTE ]
And even though it's not Nemesis (so far as we know), I'd like to continue that thought and have Paragon Protectors defending Atlas Park and Galaxy City (maybe even fighting the new Destined Ones in Mercy and Port Oakes) -

Why do you think that it is so ridiculous that players use conceptual reasons to create there characters? Most of the people I know in game seam to base there characters on concept instead of playability. Many people that I have talked to in PUGs say that they choose power sets because of the look or because a certain power looked really good. They don't seam to know the best numbers for it. They want to have fun.
Reading the descriptions of SS and Willpower, the too sets seam to fit together very well, conceptually. How can you be so sure that they are all so concerned about the numbers?
[/ QUOTE ]
It may be true that some players rol it for concept reasons, but i doubt its the reason for most of them.
I know 12 players using that combo and they all rolled it because its great.
Maybe its only the players i know and all others do it for concept but i doubt it.. but who knows :-)
[/ QUOTE ]
I doubt it's because of the numbers. I'd say it was the concept... but who knows? -

Must go and build a SS/WP Brute to see what the fuss is all about
[/ QUOTE ]
Been thinking this my self i clearly did something wrong with my first attempted SS/WP so could some one post up one of these uber SS/WP builds?
cheers
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I was contemplating that too but I don't think I'll notice any real difference.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto. I found Superstrength to be rather underperforming when facing off against Longbow Ballistas. -

i don't like this game for how it is, i only want to play the widow, nothing els.
if i knew this would happen, i would never bought this game.

But you were playing more than 3 months before I12 (and the widows) was launched...

He probably wanted to build the excitement

Had Widows even been announced in February? -

Something confusing here -
Got my 2nd Villain up to 50 (5th 50 so far)
Got my oldest character (4+ years) up to level 42
Got a new Mastermind up to level 19 (I'm now using the no XP thing to make sure I don't miss the Mayhem Mission)
Got my new Shields Duo into Faultline
Most importantly, helped bushbaby get her first 50 villain, so that's her got the Soldiers of Arachnos unlocked. New duo coming soon™
Hitting 50 with those villains has felt like a breath of fresh air. Sure, they've been fun, but it's nice to be able to dabble in so many other duos now.
Had fun - very important factor -

Oh the irony - the complainers being too busy playing the game and earning double xp to actually complain
And now 'scuse me, the game should be finished loading by now

Ironically enough, I posted that (and this) whilst a zone was loading -

[ QUOTE ]
You'd think someone would have demanded a server merge/split, complained strenuously about how they can't earn Double XP whilst PvP'ing or demanded that the devs come round to their house and service them personally.
Must be something on.
