Hmm, I've never had someone say something so offensive that I've kicked them right off. I could definitely see if someone blew up and started shouting really offensive/vulgar insults at someone for something I probably would. But generally even if teammates get into an argument or start insulting eachother, I tell them to cool it or I'll start kicking, cause we're all just here to have fun and they're ruining it.

[/ QUOTE ] I've only had it happen once, somebody dropped a racial slur towards somebody else. That person got kicked right away. But other than something like that, I like to try to calm things down before I resort to kicking.

    QR -

Really, as the team leader you can kick whenever you want for whatever reason. Or even for no reason at all, or personal reasons. But as a person with responsibility over a team of up to 7 other people, you should try to be professional about it. If people are causing problems or being troublesome, you're well within your rights to kick them. I've seen teams fall apart because of bad leaders (and I've even caught some on the rebound).

A good way to handle a team is to warn someone first when they do something. If they don't listen, try to see what the rest of the team wants to do. Odds are if they're causing problems that other teammates are noticing and complaining about, kicking them would work just fine for everyone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree, that is generally how I approach it. There are exceptions though, if somebody says something too offensive or is harassing another teammate(especially if it's over their build) I will kick without a warning, even on the last mission of a TF.

How many high-number sustainable ToHit buff powers are there?

[/ QUOTE ] How many times can you afford to spend 50 influence on an inspiration?

    [/ QUOTE ]

But see, here's the thing: if teams have to go load up on all yellows to beat this AV, then leave mission and go load up on all purples for that AV, then leave after that and go load up on all reds.... having to do that kind of thing just screams "broken!" to me. People should not be having to leave the mission multiple times because the only way they can take down an AV is by 20 of the same Inspiration.

I don't have to do that to take down Lusca or Adamastor, and I should not have to do it in a Strike Force. A well-equipped, experienced team of well-slotted players should not have to be doing this.

I am sure many disagree, but this isn't strategy, its buying one's way through a SF. Now we all probably pretty much agree that the LRSF is not going to be readdressed in our lifetimes, but this should not be SOP for getting through a SF. I cannot think of another TF other than the LRSF where people know right off not to show up without 5 Shivans and at least two nukes per person, otherwise the SF will fail. That is just.... ridiculous. And it does not say "well balanced" to me.

[/ QUOTE ] I do agree that having to leave multiple times for inspiration/nuke runs isn't ideal. Although I find inspiration runs little more than minor annoyances. But having to get a nuke for LRSF(judging by this thread, I'venever attempted it) would annoy the hell out of me.

Is that somehow way easier than stocking up on purples and/or oranges and/or greens for the final confrontation in the LRSF?

[/ QUOTE ] No, buying yellow inspirations has the same difficulty as buying the others.

The difference between that and this is that all comics are written for the story. Superman may be able to drop-kick a planet one issue with no problems, and then be vulnerable to plaid the next... because the story needs it.

[/ QUOTE ] WRONG!!!!!!! Superman is a super hero. Since we aren't Marvel or DC, we are just heroes(just don't tell NBC). That is the difference.
  8. My random suggestion would be a Fire/Shield Scrapper, Fire/MM Blaster, and Rad/Sonic Defender.

Well, I'm not, so trust me when I say I'm asking for my friend.

My friend might be my wife.

Looking to spice things up a little bit between the three of you?

    [/ QUOTE ] lmao
  10. For me I find Peacebringers very playable, but the most boring thing I have ever done in my life. I'm not a tank person, so I find Dwarf form lame. Nova is fine. The human form powers just don't do it for me. I feel like a gimped blapper. Sure PBs are very effective and a good AT, I just hate it. On the other hand, my WS is my all time favorite.

The best part is when this friend reads this thread he's going to be pissed at me.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think he will be pissed. Just to make sure, tell us his name so we can ask him in an open letter.

It's impossible for the Devs to be too RP-minded.

Just like it's impossible for them to be too PVP-Minded or too Balance-Minded.

    -Rachel-

[/ QUOTE ] From a business standpoint I disagree. If the devs concentrate too much on one group of players, that can be a turn off to other players. If loot in the game suffers for RP reasons, that can drive some players away. And vice-versa. I think the key is finding the right balance so as many people as possible will enjoy the game.

Buffs don't make a To-Hit check. They just get applied. Debuffs have to hit you.

    [/ QUOTE ] I didn't know that, that's awesome thanks.

    Samuel, I think it's ingenious.

We don't know yet, but I'm guessing it should go into beta in the next couple weeks.

But apparently street sweeping is frowned upon, not because it's not farming, but that it's "inefficient" farming, or something...

[/ QUOTE ] I just find it boring for the most part. I feel that way about your standard office or cave mission too. I much prefer content like Faultline, Striga, Croatoa, RWZ, etc compared to the rest of the stuff because of the sometimes unique environments and the generally better writing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm in agreement there. Some zones are better than others.

But, that just means we have to get a "Fill Up War Witch's Inbox" campaign going to have her and her team revamp the existing zones.

[/ QUOTE ] Agreed. What I would really like to see is some of the story arcs where you fight faction leaders(Like Countess Crey) get new maps and other work on the missions.

I really don't care if someone PLs. I just want people I team with to be able to effectively play.

  22. 8 rad/sonic or 8 emp/sonic defenders would get my vote.

You quote questions that you don't answer.
The thread is about the "DEVs - Are you too RP-minded?"

I've seen you reply to my posts in this manner before.
    Bye.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey if you can't handle your positions challenged then you are a weak minded person.
