I'm looking forward to all scrapper Lord Recluse Strike Forces being ran.
-
I bought 100 Achilles' Heel procs as soon as I found out Blasters were getting Radiation Blast. Ended taking break for about six months after that and when I got back I sold them all for about 1.3 billion profit(that's a rough estimate).

If he takes a long enough break then he won't have to promote anybody.

Quote:That's only being reasonable to the people who already agree with you. Turning off your powers does absolutely nothing to benefit anyone not running the game on a graphing calculator circa 1992, so you can't really count that as being reasonable.
But suggesting power suppression be pushed onto others does impose on them.
That's because this suggestion is never about what's good for everybody, its about what is good for that individual poster. People that are for power suppression for everybody are putting their wants ahead of other players. Which amuses me because often times people that suggest this claim others using their powers are inconsiderate and rude. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people looking out for themselves first. It's perfectly normal and acceptable IMO. But for people to claim this suggestion is anything more than selfish is a lie, and it's hypocritical.
Instead of mandatory suppression for everybody, which a lot of people won't like(and their reasons for not liking it are irrelevant), the only good solution is to add some sort of optional door people can go into that dismisses all pets and suppresses powers. That way everybody wins. -
/signed. I would love to see badges added for prestige. Throw a 5,000,000 prestige badge in there too.

I set up an AE mission recently to attempt to solo Crimson as an AV in the WSPDR map(the one where you have to destroy all the generators) and the amount of running that guy did was annoying.
However chasing him onto several high ledges and fighting him there did make the entire battle feel pretty epic. -
Quote:This is the only good solution. As I originally suggested, the solution is to add a separate room where power suppression is enabled (and add an SG base market interface). During the meantime, of course, those who find it annoying can simply choose to avoid the grand total of two busy market locations, as it's a lot simpler and more reasonable for you to change your habits than it is to expect everyone else to change theirs to suit you.

Depends how patient you wanna be with your selling of the IOs you crafted. If you put them at the high end they will sell and make you profit, but typically that takes some time.
If you are like me when going for field crafter and either dump it on the market for 1 inf, delete it, or spam give them to people at the market then you will lose a good chunk of Inf(I also get everything at buy i Nao prices). -
Quote:You probably don't need it, but I strongly suggest taking it. It's endurance cost is next to nothing, it gives a set bonusish worth of defense, you can stick a Kismet ToHit IO and/or Luck of the Gambler Recharge in there, and it is fantastic for moving around in combat.Bill, would combat jumping be needed? I only ask because I REALLY don't want another toggle running with the SR set and tough, ya know?
All in all, I feel Combat Jumping is a fantastic power that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. -
Speed, what exactly are your goals for this build? How much influence are you willing to spend? With my initial look you're kinda all over the place with your bonuses.

I haven't noticed the running away being any worse than it always has. It makes sense why they would run and I don't think anything needs to be changed.
-
So in order to count Siege and Nightstar I need to go do Maria Jenkins old arc in flashback? Just wanna confirm before I waste time replaying an arc I don't really care for.

Quote:You're right getting hit for 83 instead of 100 isn't a big deal, its the harder hits that make tough worth it. If the OP can afford the slots, I suggest slotting tough. That being said, on my DM/SR I only used tough for the defense unique and I do well with him but I have Siphon Life to help out.Yeh, I agree with Fury. I've always thought having Tough for the +Res (even 15%-17%) is added protection on an /SR that's helpful. Though I've never really done the math -- e.g., getting hit for 83 instead of 100 may not make that much of a difference in the long run. But if it leaves me with just enough health that I don't die and I can hit a green or Aid Self, it's prob worth it.
I try to skip Weave though. -
Quote:I agree that Steel could use some love. I would just rather have a higher level zone done first, then something like Steel.Howabout a compromise, Revamp of Talos Island, have Vista Zoning out to Striga Isle instead of the warwall out at sea that just feels utterly pointless.
I still say the zone that needs revamp the most is Steel Canyon. And I don't just mean it's the worst zone in Paragon, it's aesthetically the worst zone in the entire game.
Yes, DA and Boomtown need to get revitalized, nobody goes there, they need love. I get that. but Steel is a place where everyone goes, it's a place through which a bulk of heroes get funneled. You have the same population flow through Talos, but Talos never felt wrong the way Steel Canyon does.
I dunno, perhaps I just don't get what the original vision for the zone was or something, it just feels wrong.
Personally I think taking turns on between low, mid, and high level zones would be ideal.
Even though I think other zones should get it before zones like AP and SC, I wouldn't throw a fit if I didn't get it my way(though I am ALWAYS right). -
Quote:I think Atlas Park needs a major revamp. There's far too much cement and not enough "park." City Hall looks very tiny for a mega-city like Paragon, I'd have a nice big edifice, like New York's city hall. The statue of Atlas is, and always has been, great, but I think it needs an upgrade because I know it can be even better. The globe can be more distinct and detailed. It'd put a big mosaic or something under Atlas and make that area a real plaza where the citizens and heroes of Paragon City can hang out, much like the plaza in the middle of the Magisterium in Praetoria. I'd put flowers and bushes around Atlas Plaza like is in the Magisterium, I'd move the parking to underground garages (like in Faultline) and put statues, park, paths, trees, bushes, fountains and flowers in the area where the endless parking lots used to be. I'd put all the warehouses and industrial style stuff in the same small area so it doesn't seem like Atlas Park is part industrial sprawl. I'd take out a few of the older buildings and put in modern style buildings as well.
Atlas Park is one of the first impressions people get when they start up a new hero, and I think it's important to upgrade it to make a good impression on new players. The devs need to show new players right off the bat "this is what we can do" so that new players want to come back and try more of the game.
In the Rogue Isles, I think the zones are mostly pretty good. I would clean up part of each zone and make that part a bit brighter and prettier, maybe actually let some sunlight hit the Rogue Isles every once in a while. As it stands now I think the only thing really wrong with those zones is that they can feel a tad oppressive.
I would much rather something in the middle to late levels get redone since a bunch of new 1-20 content was just added. Something in the DA range would be nice. -
I like the mist too. I just think the missions should have a little more direction.
-
I wouldn't be either. If I had some sort of powers I would use them to make money. I have better things to do than worry about Random Citizen A.
-
Dark Astoria gets my vote. I've always felt it has such huge potential for cool stories. If not DA, then Talos or Founders Falls gets my vote.
I must say though that I am completely against revamping Atlas Park or Galaxy City since we just got new 1-20 content(at least against it until other stuff gets done first). -
Some good suggestions so far. Once a some of them get multiple votes then we'll start working on them.
-
Just did that mission last night myself. Turns out after defeating Black Swan all you have to do is defeat one more mob that spawns inside The Chantry after Black Swan goes down, you don't have to clear the entire Chantry. I got lucky and happened to be standing where the new mob spawned, that is the only reason I know this.
But I agree with je saist, it is annoying(or at least it would have been if I didn't get lucky with the spawn placement). -
/unsigned. I like the extra challenge of the new content and I would hate to see it changed because that would lessen my fun.
