Quote:Soft cap to S/L/E/N with one in range maybe? And 40% to F/C. And no need for conserve power. And that is before anybody else has looked at it with a fresh set of eyes.Edit:
I'm not even gonna mention the kind of buff this is for those fitness-less DM/Inv running around out there...I'm not...
I'm very interested how this will turn out. And jealous. -
Quote:I never knew about /cleartray, it would sure skip a lot of time having to right-click+[R] every single power after I respec, good to know.
As for whining, sorry again? I didn't meant to sound whiney, when I stated the question "What do you guys think?" I really meant "What do you guys think?" not "Here's my opinion, suck it!", starting a discussion is important because the devs should know what's on their players' minds and not have to get the flack of implementing a change which could annoy a percentage of the user-base, however minor, when they could tweak the design to suit everybody's tastes.
I misinterpreted the full scale of having Swift and Hurdle on by default and apologised, but what I don't apologise for is starting the discussion on what the player-base is worried about even though we don't have all the information. We happen to have a development studio who takes note of our feedback and feedback is what will make this game as good as it can be.
Plus, it's not like I totally hated the idea of Inherent Fitness, saying I hate Health and Stamina too would make me sound whiny and ridiculous.
No worries, you're not the problem here. -
Quote:This is true. One of my favorite things about this is that I'm gonna spend a ton of time figuring out how exactly to maximize my slots with three new powers.Because it's incredibly fun.
Making builds and tweaking them is one of the main pillars holding this game up for me.
Good point. I only have one character that I worry about exexmplaring with and when I level up I just wing it with my builds, only maximizing them when they are at high levels. So this just didn't occur to me. -
Ok, I get it now. I'm not sure why I didn't understand initially(maybe its the Miller Lite).

Since several of the 'big name' posters are here I wanna ask: Why redo the builds this early? Isn't the alpha slot going to be something to account for from this point forward? Fitness inherent and alpha slot are coming in the same issue after all.
-
Perhaps I'm not understanding you(and honestly I'm thinking you meant something other than what interpreted), but why not just use Mid's?
-
Personally, I don't care either way how this suggestion goes.
The @globalname part would look lame, but I would get used to it. Honestly, if the best you can think of is something like Amazing Man, Power Guy, or Dark Flame then you really need to work on your vocabulary.
On the other side...
A lot of people think their name is special and unique, when in reality it's not. Newsflash, if you(general you) thought of it, somebody else in your position either has already though of it too, or somebody will. To me the arguments against it are basically that people feel they should own things like ideas and names.
So my basic point is, it doesn't really matter because both sides are putting forth worthless arguments. What that really means is we all suck at life and should be ashamed. -
That's actually not true at all. The loudest are the people attempting to shout down anybody that has any potential concerns with the change.

Quote:I'm not dissing your taste of music, don't get me wrong. Perhaps it's because everyone on YouTube uses this song for everything.....but I have really come to dislike it.Quote:Um, isn't that song about mosh pits or something? Besides, it's overused, and it wasn't that good of a song to begin with.
But most importantly, it seems to fit me killing a bunch of ****. -
My Scrappers like Bodies by Drowning Pool.
They are also a big fan of Indestructible by Disturbed. In fact the entire album The Sickness fits most of them pretty well. -
Quote:Anyone having an issue with 3-4 New Powers they'll be able to get, even if they only get to one slot those new Powers, and they absolutely will not lose any of the slotting they currently have... Sounds pretty whiny to me.
Then lrn2read. Seriously, bringing up a concern in a civil manner is not the same thing as whining. I really think most of yall lack fundamental comprehension skills sometimes.
I would expand, but more than likely someone will once again get butthurt and my post will get stealth edited again by a mod. -
OK, this intrigues me greatly. If I can get even more DPS out of my DM/SR then I'll beyond thrilled.

Quote:I understand your concern, but IMO then is an improvement. So basically........ I'm getting 3 new power for ALL my builds, which is cool, but in essence zero slots to put in them... since i'll still need to slot the inherent fitness line... (which, is normally only a small hand full of slots anyways.)
so all my builds will need massive reworking and prolly reslotting ALL my powers to try and find some slots to make use of some of these new powers i'll have...
It's an OK change I guess. I personally dislike "throw a way" powers, but with no slots to slot into my 3 new powers... 3 powers i might add i'll need to figure out what to take... that matches my concepts... all 40 of them... yeah, this looks more like WORK for *me* then a bonus.
But i am happy for everyone else who really wanted this. -
Somehow, that never entered my mind. That is a fantastic idea for a couple of my characters.

I realize the person you are talking about may not agree 100% with your view on this, but that hardly makes him/her a whiner. I realize it may offend your sensibilities to read an opposing viewpoint, but is it really appropriate* to call them a whiner when they make a perfectly calm post expressing a concern?
Your case becomes even weaker when the OP is educated on exactly what this means and he backs off. -
Quote:Yes. Performance Shifter proc is generally put in Stamina(and any other auto endurance powers). The average gain is 0.2 end/sec.Oh, my! I didn't even realize that. I guess because I've been playing a lot of MMs who don't have health/stamina, so I never tried to put a proc in either. Do chance-for-X have a chance every 10 seconds, then, in an auto power? (e.g., performance shifter chance for +end)

Quote:Really? Come on, mistakes happen. There is absolutely no downside to something like this.I think a buy back feature would be a great inf sink. Simply charge the player whatever the highest asking price is on the market if he wants to buy back something he sold at the vendor.
I have no sympathy for players with itchy clicking fingers. If they weren't rushing they wouldn't have made the mistake in the first place.
Of course the devs could also simply add a pop up window that asks if you are sure you want to sell each item, that way if Captain impatience turns the window off ha once again has no one to blame but himself for having an itchy clicking finger.
I don't see this as a big enough deal to make a huge fuss over, but there is no downside. -
I'm for this idea. A buyback option makes sense.
I also feel not allowing PvP IOs or Purples to be sold at vendors is a good idea. No reason to vendor something like that. -
