So instead of my being 99.999% unavaliable for a SC kill, I'd be 100% unavaliable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If losing you is the price paid to gain others, I'm not seeing this as a loss.

The ability to have Bounty Persist after you leave a PvP zone, let alone be able to accumulate between the zones and over time, is a pretty hefty thing. Being able to gain that Bounty while preforming PvE tasks in a PvP zone is another draw, both to the zone and to the tasks. Even someone who sneaks in and occasionally picks up a Shivan or Nuke during off hours would eventually earn enough for a Recipe Roll (or SO, large Insp, temp power, etc).

I personally think the idea has merit, because one of the biggest complaints about Bounty is that it goes away if you leave the zone. Heck, they could change it into a "Merit system" and have it be a new form of a Salvage for all I care. So long as it remained after I left the zone, I'd actually show up in the PvP zones. Because no matter how many times I died, so long as I got a Merit or two for, I'd feel like I was making progress.

More mobs = more playthings for WS, ya? So the i16 difficulty slider should be a great boon for them?

    [/ QUOTE ]

My Warshade is going to be abusing this SO hard. I may not set for a team of eight, but I will be setting it higher then three. Between Eclipse and the Mires, I'll be an 18-Wheeler of Pain.

Plus, I'll be able to do different missions for farming, instead of the single Nemesis one from Dark Watcher. No more having to go to the RWZ for my Farms for me!

    Best change ever:

Updates to the difficulty settings so you can spawn all maps for teams of 8 at +4 combat level.

    Awesome. Pure awesome.

    [/ QUOTE ]

LOL a certain someone vehemently disagreed with this when it was made as a suggestion by myself and others in the suggestion forum. Let's see what they have to say now.

Even if such an option reduces the rewards in a missh when you are solo, I would still whole heatedly use the new difficulty options.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My Warshade has been shelved for a while because I can't find it challenging enough solo, and a team doesn't like it when I wonder off and kill stuff solo. Now I can do a team's work solo!
  5. [ QUOTE ]
expand a bounty like system to all PvP zones (you get some sort of bounty-like reward for defeating PCs) and put the price relatively high, only allow for random rolls, and you've got a deal.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Allow the gain of a smaller amount of bounty for completing Zone objectives (collecting meteors, defeating turrets, and refining the shard: helping your side win neighborhood battles (already in effect): saving scientists : capturing Pillboxes / defeating AVs) and I'm even more behind it.

If only so there's a way to collect bounty (even a small amount) in each zone when no one else is there.

Perhaps even have the Bounty system persist through the zones, so if I collect 1,000 bounty in SC for neighborhood battles, I can go to Warburg to collect a nuke and get 300 more, go to Bloody Bay and get a Shivan Shard and collect 600 for crafting the Shard piece, and then hit up Recluse's Victory for another batch for hunting the AVs for badges. Then by the end of that, I can get an SO, or maybe Roll for some kind of IO.

They could even tailor how much Bounty players are worth in BB and Warburg based on what they have / are doing. In the middle of saving a scientist? You're worth more bounty. Carrying back your Meteor Shard to your contact? You're worth more bounty.
  6. An updated Shopping Interface would be nice. For as bad as the filter is for the Wentworth's and Blackmarket, I wouldn't mind one bit if those were adapted for standard Stores.

  9. Initially, I thought the OP was an interesting attempt at satire. It seemed ripe for it, because it did many things easily associated with AE farms (farm in the name, commonly farmed enemies, ally providing buffs). The post just screamed "satire" at me. Until I saw who posted it.

If it was not for the fact that I have seen Airman_America post before, I would have thought this entire thread a very well done satire piece. Indeed, the mission to me sounds like a thinly veiled farming mission, even as AA explains it throughout the thread. I would assume he wasn't doing it on purpose, which makes me wonder what truly is going on here.

If the mission does get unbanned, I would love for him to Post the ID number so I could take a look. If only to see where the line may be.
  10. [ QUOTE ]

    • I tend to be long-winded with the Mission Arcs I create; they almost always go at least 4 or 5 missions. Doctor Echo however, has made me want to make a 1 mission story arc…. One where you kill him… and he STAYS dead!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd probably make it a five missions arc. Where you defeat him, and then go back in time to defeat him before you defeat him. Then go back in time to defeat him before you went back in time to defeat him. Then go back in time to defeat him before you went back in time to defeat him before you go back in time to defeat him....

    [ QUOTE ]

    • Or… how about creating a story arc that clearly states the mission objective is to “Defeat All”… then have the boss be Doctor All? And you only had to defeat him.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Already on it...

    • You get the feeling that the guy who designed the architecture for Arachnos Bases was really into hamster tubes when they were a child?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Based on how buildings look when Arachnos 'overcomes' them (they take current buildings and simply add Arachnos modifications to them, kind of like the Combine!), I would have thought that Arachnos Maps would have been standard maps, with the Arachnos cages and such overlaid. Kind of like what Council maps are to Cave maps.
  11. I agree, that is very nicely done!

    3. PLEASE NOTE...ID and Personal Info only show your SECURITY (heroes)/THREAT (villains) level...only another character can tell you your COMBAT level if you have leveled up or are sidekicked or exemplared or whatever. Your SECURITY/THREAT level only changes when you go speak to a trainer and get new slots/powers. Your COMBAT level changes when you ding, and when you sidekick/exemplar.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you have leveled but have not trained yet, then in the top right corner, in the circle above your Health, Endurance, and surrounded by your Experience bubbles, you'll see a green Up Arrow.

Another vague way to tell what your current combat level is without asking, is to target an enemy that shows it's name in a color that isn't Grey or Purple. You can use it's level, and it's color (and arrows under the name) combined with what class it is (Minion, Lieutenant, Boss) to find your current Combat Level.

For example, if you target a level 7 minion, and its name shows up red to you (which means it has three arrows pointing up under it's name), then you're currently Combat Level 4. If it's a lieutenant, then add 1 to your level, because LT's always color one level higher then they really are (LTs the same level as you would appear Yellow to you, for example), while Bosses always appear 2 levels higher then they really are (a boss your level would appear Orange to you). This is to simulate their actual difficulty.

So there you go. A long and vaguely mathematically difficult brush with the conning system.

    2. I have "tray" at lower part of screen. I clicked something that duplicated the tray. Now I have 3 iterations of tray and can't get rid of the other 2. How do I do that?

    [/ QUOTE ]

A possibility that the others didn't cover: If the three trays are all connected, and there are words on the very top (Powers Inspirations Enhancements Salvage Recipes) to the right of the word Recipes there should be a '+' symbol. that will add more trays to your screen, ones that can be changed in size and shape. Those you can right click and close. But to the right of that '+' symbol, there's an "Up" or "Down" arrow. If all three of your trays are right there and connected, press the arrow, and it should consolidate it back into one tray. When you get more powers, you may want to show more trays so you can see all your powers.
  14. So, you know how in the University, there are those hidden objects that look like normal scenery you can click for a pop up? And the History badge in the Midnighter's Club?

It'd be neat to get things like that in normal missions maybe. Click it, get a pop up info thing. Maybe a mini-mission (like a side mission to the mission you're on), maybe just background ('this desk has little hearts carved in it with the initials "FF + WW". Looks like Frostfire has a crush!') for flavor. Maybe they could be for badges, or just a 'little something extra' like the Easter Egg rooms. And we could probably find some fun uses for it in Mayhem Missions or AE missions.

This idea has nothing to do with the OP, but it did make me think of it.

    Arcanatime

    As per Umbral:
    [ QUOTE ]
The formula is as follows: (roundUp(listedTime/.132)+1)*.132 = realTime (commonly referred to as the Arcanatime of the power)

    [/ QUOTE ]
  17. [ QUOTE ]
I don't see how it would involve an immediate balancing of levels. If a level 5 character pacts now with a level one there is no such immediate leveling. Paired XP after that point goes to the lower toon until balance is restored, but there is no "insta-leveling" involved.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If I have a character that is Level Pacted with a friend, and I log off. If my friend continues to play their half of the characters, and gains 2 levels, when I next log on with my half of the Level Pacted characters, I will instantly have two levels of XP, and level up twice. That's how Level Pacts work.

It may not be your intent to abuse the system, but that doesn't mean the system should be set up so abuse can occur. Because if they do, they have to accept that it WILL be abused. Maybe not by you, but by people.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, not at all. It was never claimed he was reviled by most of the players, just that he was the most reviled. If this game was all happy sunshine and kittens, you might only need 3 people to hate you to be the most reviled.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but at the time he was operating there were at least a couple players who were reviled by a large portion of their server for bad PvE behavior, which meant they were far more widely despised.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure Stryke Force (or Stryker, or whatever the original player was called) was hated by more people for longer then Twixt. If only because he affected a much larger community: PvE Players.

[/ QUOTE ]i think that's what i just said without actually specifying names. There have been people like that on several servers at various times.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Then just count me as agreeing by mentioning a name. I think I was half asleep when I posted that.
  19. I personally, place the slots in Ebon Eye. Decent recharge and damage, plus laser eyes are cool.

BUT. When you Respec at any level above 6, if you picked the Nova form, those first four slots (from 3 and 5) can be placed in the Nova Form's attacks.

As for what the Human form does. It can do anything you allow it to do. It can be a semi-Dominator with shields (Cone stun, PBAoE stun, ST immobilize, ST hold), or you can use it as a "buff form" for your play, with things like Sunless Mire, Eclipse, Recall Friend, stealth, Hasten, Stygian Circle, Stygian Return. Something with lots of click powers that are strong, but just buff you.

Really, it's all about what you want to focus on, and you have lots of choices.

I personally use Human form to buff myself, mez enemies, and summon pets, stealth missions when needed. I then use the Nova or Dwarf forms to kill things, most of the time dancing between all three. Human form is my 'utility closet' where I store all my stuff I'm not using right away.

While the guides are horribly out of date, the powers haven't changed TOO much (though occasionally checking in-game provided numbers to what a guide says is handy), so just using a guide as a basic... well... guide should still suffice. Don't buy into any "this guide is for a playstyle!" kind of talk, just investigate what the powers do, how slotting affects them, and determine if that's something you'd like, and what you'll have to not slot to get that.

Do yourself (and us) a favor. Create a new character. Do the tutorial. Actually read the pop up windows in the tutorial. Play the character for a few levels (10 at a minimum). Actually read what the trainers and contacts say.

Do not enter the AE building at all until you have accomplished that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just quoting this again from before. The reason you suck is because you seemingly know nothing about enhancements or the game world. To get 'on track', you should start from square one and go back to basics.

Roll up a new character, and play that for a few levels (10 levels should be good) outside the AE. Make sure you run the Tutorial, reading the little boxes and such (there's a whole section on just Enhancements for you). As you level up, read what the Trainer offers to tell you about the in game functions.

  25. I have to admit, I'm a bit confused by his stance as well.

He claims he was just playing by the spirit of the zone and everything he did was allowed by the rules, and "supported" by the developers. Yet, those who chose to farm the zone using Heavies were also doing things allowed by the rules and "supported" by the developers, and also within the spirit of the zone (I'd probably put money down that farmers captured the zone pillboxes more then PvPers, in general), but he reviled them and called them names, trying to drive THEM from the zone using similar, if not identical tactics he complained people used against him.

Am I missing something in that?
