Quote:I agree on the subject of boosted enhancement transferance, but was there a nerf to kinetic melee other than Body Blow's endurance cost being changed from 5.82 to 6.03? That change was hardly something that breaks the set.this needs to be put into the game, a while back when I22 was in development and they announced kinetic melee being nerfed i felt i had to roll a new toon, but my KM/invuln scrapper had +5 boosted IOs on it that i spent over 100$ on. so i was pretty upset that i had to lose all those boosted IOs so i could scrap all those IOs off that toon. that shouldnt happen in the game to anyone, so the ability to email ONLY yourself items like boosted IOs should be put in the game to avoid wasting anymore money.

A shopping cart would actually be great to have for escort NPCs. You could push it and make them ride in it.

Quote:Since this is a "for fun" event I don't think anyone should be getting upset about the method used for original rankings. No not every team got a bye (Sorry for the late responds) we had unequal number of teams and if every team had to fight every team, then we it would have taken twice as long.
Yes i did count them as wins.
Its flawed i know, but i havent put anything like this together and alot of people/teams joined literally last minute. -
The biggest derailer of all could be done in Scirocco's second arc (The Hammer of the World.) By simply sitting back and doing nothing to stop Scirocco's ritual you could see the world completely free of villains, effectively ending the game.

Quote:I miss getting an actual on paper comic book in the mail as part of the subscription.CoH had a card game, Heroclix, a monthly comic book published by Dark Horse, two full length novels (with a third that never happened) as well as misc busts, t-shirts and even had the movie rights optioned.
Honestly, I miss those days. It made the game feel like it was part of something bigger that was City of Heroes. Now, it's only a game. A decent game, but just a game.
.
As for the card game, at the time CoH was first released practically every IP with "nerd appeal" was having a CCG release for it. Most, of course, vanished without a trace in a short time. -
Quote:Not only is the toxic damage from Bile Spray rarely resisted anyway, the Venom Grenade debuffs toxic resistance by 40% instead of the 20% that if debuffs other resistances.Crab Spider!
Almost all your attacks have -def, including one or two AoEs that are perfect homes for Achilles' Heel procs. Frenzy, being PBAoE, can take BOTH -Resist procs. Venom Grenade adds more -Resist. Go Leviathan for an epic to get Arctic Breath to apply MORE -Resist. Bile Spray is also nice for it's pure Toxic damage, which is rarely resisted. -

I've said this before. Most of the non-arc missions from the orginal contacts could be removed entirely and no one would miss them. Radio missions and tips have made the old 'filler' sort of missions obsolete.

Maelstrom may have been heroic at one point, but that's all strictly in the background material. By the point we see him in game he's just an arrogant jerk. His first act to work his way into the Praetorian hierarchy was to murder his partner.
Lord Recluse has the same claim to having once been as hero as Maelstrom does. He served in the US armed forces during World War One. -
Snape kills Statesman.

Silvio Berlusconi - Offers "Bunga Bunga" missions, but only to young female characters.
Al Gore - Send you on a variety of important missions, but they're all really, really boring.
Simon Cowell - Gives harsh criticism of your performance on missions.
Whitney Houston - Um......too soon. -

Purely for resistance debuffing sonic is the clear stand out. But rad has a wider array of debuffs: defense, resistance, to hit, damage, speed, recharge, and regen. And if you're really mostly interested in debuffing single hard-targets, poison is a real killer.

That's sadly the nature of the beast. Major patches to MMO's almost always contain a variety of bugs. The best we can hope for is that there won't be game breakers (and yes, I'm aware that this one has a few that are game-breakers for some.)

Any game that I see offering a lifetime subscription that is only available if purchased before launch is a game that I will avoid like the plague. It's a sure sign that the publisher doesn't expect to be able to retain regular subscribers. And those are also the only sort of lifetime subs I ever see advertised.

Quote:I can assume that Morbid just didn't understand me when I mentioned the whole shifted demographic perception and gauging viable responses to extrapolate to the player base. I can also assume Mordid did understand and is just being malicious. That is a gray area.
There was no malice intended on my part. I didn't actually report the post and I wouldn't have reported that name if I saw it in game (a name has to be REALLY bad before I do that.)
This is the last post I will be making in this thread. My honest advice to you is to not post further either and just let the thread die. -
