I don't know if they're good or evil. But they ARE jerks.

In most cases you aren't. But you'll get more out of it in some powers than in others.
PS The upcoming change is gonna cause all kinds of headaches for those that put lots of procs in their fastest recharging attack. -
Quote:Lore detail: is it canonical that there are no remaining organic components inside the real Nemesis' shell? I had assumed all along that there would be that difference between the real Nemesis and the gazillions of duplicates, that the real one still had the original brain inside.
******Possible Spoilage Answer*******
"The Eternal Nemesis" arc from Maxwell Christopher is largely about Nemesis replacing his aged organic brain with an artificial one. There are suggestions (but no hard proof that I know of) that he makes continual backups of his mind so that if defeated he can just startup with a fresh body. Alternatively he may be able to take direct control of any of his duplicates for sending into dangerous situations (Viridian's arc implies this.) -
She also wrote some short fiction that appeared in the back of the comics. Well, at least once:

Quote:The Crey's Folly disaster was due to a direct attack by the Rikti in the first invasion, which started on May 23, 2002. Anyone born with mutations from that would be under 10 years old.
I don't know how old Crey's Folly disaster was - but there could be a group of mutants that were created by that. There must be other disasters - or just make one up.
And the game lore already has at least one group of origin linked mutants, the Nuclear 90. Fusionette is the only one of them we've seen in game.
And, as others have already said, the chances that there will be a major 'mutants are pariahs from society' story line is close to nil. In addition to being too close to the X-men concept there doesn't appear to be a history of widespread mutant hatred in primal earth. The Outcasts may like to think of themselves as rejected by society, but this seems more a convenient excuse to form a gang than the result of real prejudice. -
Quote:Have you SEEN Captain Mako? He was born that way.Rogue are ran by science and magic with a sprinkle of technology. No mutants
You list four groups, one of which is made entirely of probable mutants. I'd hardly call that underrepresentation. -
I have never, ever seen role playing spam in broadcast or local. I have seen lots LF DFB spam, but not RP. The genuine role players also don't generally repeat the same thing over and over. The guy repeatedly hitting his battlecry button probably isn't an RP'er, he's just a jerk.
PS I hardly ever RP myself past the point of writing character bios. And I could really use more characters for some of those.
PPS And if you're playing on Virtue, all I can say is, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." And I'm pretty sure they don't stand around Ms. Liberty to do their RP'ing there anyway. -
Quote:The level restriction on entering RWZ was removed in issue 16.Yes, but you couldn't enter below level 35 until much later. And it's still further than AE.
That said, I think this video was intended more as bit of humor than as a game guide and I thoroughly enjoyed it as such. -
Quote:It's a bit easier to buy into the relationship when you consider Vanessa didn't acquire her mask until her trip to Florence in 2000. And she avoided using it until the Rikti war. The disturbing aspect still left is that she would have been very young when Penny was born (she was a grad student in 2000 and Penelope would have to have been born by 1994 to be an adult now.) That just leaves us the question of how a small time shopkeeper in his 30's got hooked up with a Vanessa who was probably in her teens. Maybe Yin used his psychic powers (primal Yin hasn't shown any in-game, but his Praetorian counterpart has) to 'enchant' her. What a creep.I want to know how Vanessa Devore and Wu Yin hooked up and made a baby.
PS I put way too much thought into all that. -
Because so many forum users are impatient jerks who kept hitting them with the digital equivalent of "Are we there yet?" Positron probably felt like yelling, "Ask one more time and I'm turning this car around! Then there'll be no staff fighting for anyone!"

Most sets like this are pretty worthless. Marital Arts does surprisingly little to keep the spouse happy.

Quote:Beaten up by trolls? Those guys are grey to him and he doesn't even get any influence from fighting them. His 3 post-WWD appearances so far invovle him being captured by the Praetorians, being captured and controled by Mot, and being beaten up by Trolls - plus, his other recent pre-WWD role was as a final TF boss for Villains to beat up and steal the source of power he was supposed to be guarding - he's not exactly overshadowing the players with his achievements.

I may have a badge that say's I'm Statesman's pal, but he rarely returns my phone calls and he's NEVER available to do lunch. He's one of those jerks that calls himself your friend only when he needs something from you.

I wouldn't count on it being before mid-May, whether it's 'ready' or not. Excluding Issue 1 (the first issue after release) and Issue 6 (the release of CoV) the shortest time between full issues has been 78 days. A May 15th release would be only 70 days after the release of Issue 22.

Quote:Alpha slot abilities can be crafted with either shard based or thread based components. You need to scroll down past the shard based recipe to see the thread based recipe.Well then I clearly don't understand this stuff. As I see it, you can't use threads for any of the early alpha components, they all require shards. You don't get shards from these missions, you have to buy them with merits from completing arcs. You have completed only 4 arcs at this point, only 3 of which actually give an option for a merit or component reward. If you select a component reward, I have never seen an alpha component offered as an option. So I disagree, it is more than likely you won't have an alpha to slot by the time you get here if this is your source of incarnate materials. Now if I have missed something I would love to hear about it.
Edit: Going truely solo on this particular mission (by which I mean having not having help from either the npc's or other players) is probably not intended for those who aren't well decked out with IO's. I'm sure some players with the right builds could do it, but having good set bonuses is probably more important than the incarnate abilities. The controller I ran it with has tier 4 core spiritual, but I get a lot more extra recharge from set bonuses than from the alpha slot. -

Quote:I didn't say I handled it without incarnate abilities. But frankly I could have. I wouldn't have been playing at +3 and it would have taken me a lot longer, but the only incarnate slots I would have really missed would have been alpha and destiny. How did you handle it *without* incarnate abilities?
Obviously, I'm not the OP. But I am curious how others soloed the content without already having Incarnate abilities. Stating that you soloed the content with Incarnate abilities is just...frustrating.
But I am sort of threadjacking so my frustration is irrelevant.
And if you don't have ANYTHING slotted in alpha by the time you get to this mission I have to ask why not? There's no way you could get that far along in the DA story line without having gotten together enough components and threads to at least be tier 1 alpha. -
This is, imo, the heart of the matter. My general preferance is to do a 2.5 version, but it's the person who goes to the trouble of organizing the trial who makes the overall strategy choice.
