I have another bind that does the same with Granite/SJ.
Could you post the bind? Or even the general idea of it, does it have to load bind files?
  2. Out of a morbid curiosity I made a quick build using all of your power picks. It probably has some wasted slots because I don't feel like putting any extra effort into double checking, and I always overlook wasted slots the first time. Also Ive never played either stone set, so who knows what I else I didn't slot properly...
I still wouldn't play this myself, but it was kind of interesting trying to make a build for sets I don't use with power picks I wouldn't make.

If you want to dish out some damage you should slot your attacks. I dont have to be a math wizard to know that having 3 slotted attacks isnt going to do it with no global recharge.

You dont have to use the same builds as everyone else to be successful, but here are some general guidelines that I think could help you get started:
Don't slot powers WAY over the ED cap just for a set bonus.
Don't slot powers WAY over the ED cap without a set bonus either: ie the gambler+red fortune def IOs in minerals combined are only adding 3% psi defense.
Don't slot powers for things they don't need ie: end reduction in combat jumping and recharge in granite armor.
Do slot your def/res and dam near the ED cap.

Start there and see what that gets you.
  4. I deleted a lvl50 alpha slotted plant/empathy to reroll a plant/psi and still consider it an excellent decision. I know controllers are awesome at things, they just aren't the AT for me.

I also have an elec/psi dom around lvl 40 that is awesome. Aoe damage was unimpressive before I picked up sleet in the APP, but with the sleep patch and some serious sapping in conductive aura I was able to pretty much survive anything.

    Sounds about right.

Why are people expecting things to come out at any particular time when the devs refuse to give one? People also got butthurt when i22 didnt come out the minute they expected.

Less so, your wanting consume 6 slotted. The difference between a 6 slotted consume and a 2 slotted consume is 40% per target v. 32% per target (I used endmod and the triple for that number. accuracy v. +3s still hits 93%, recharge suffers a bit but it's still higher than your nuke's recharge).

On this one, you're moving closer to being a bit borderline for end consumption- or relying on consume/cardiac to keep you playable. I'd sooner see another slot in health for a numi unique and another in stamina for an endmod.

I'm not sure the 5th bask gaze is worth the slot. The way mez resist works, you start at base 100%. The difference between 100% and 105% is pretty slim... even the difference between 168% and 173% (hold resist in Acro, 20% IO) is not worth a slot, imho. You seem fine (accuracy-wise) with just the 1st 4 bask gazes, how vital do you consider this power? You might gain two slots there (more recharge in aim/build-up!).

Unless you really value that wee bit of psi def, the Impervium triple could be dropped for a D/E in weave for better net recovery. End redux in stealth wouldn't hurt, either.

    My 2 inf, ymmv, etc.
You convinced me on consume, that 5% rech isnt really worth 2 slots with so little gain in end sapped.
I put the extra slots in char mostly to increase the hold/recharge, but with my end issues putting those slots in stamina/health does seem better

    Thanks for the insight

I verified with a friend that could also see the glitch, and Im pretty sure he is running nvidia too.

Is there anyone that can't see the glitch in game? Im surprised this made it through beta, unless the playerbase is mostly epileptic so none of them were able to bug it.
  10. I plan to use it until I respec at 50. Once you crank up the difficulty most pets can't keep up with a dom anyway.

Another try. Took some of the superfluous slots to make char a little better. I left consume 6 slotted because I use inferno as much as possible, and I like consume on the 1 or 2 survivors. Nukes are pretty awesome if you can reliably recover from the crash without stopping.
Now I just need i22 to roll in so I can use the freespec.

  14. Mr_Kingkillaha

    Fire^3 build

Usually 4 kb protection is enough for me. I took acrobatics for the hold protection/resistance. Ive heard that the mag 2 makes it useless, but it feels like I get held less when I have it. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but I have tried to solo carnies at -1x1 on a (poorly slotted) emp defender without acro and literally got held to death. With this blaster on 0X4 I can solo carnies and only get held once or twice. Maybe that has more to do with kill speed, but having the hold duration even 25% shorter is a big plus to me.

    Fire^3 build

Well with the cardiac T1 i could sort of manage endurance, but it was still difficult. Hot feet wasn't quite what I expected so Im dumping that and blaze to get tough and weave. The end is much better this way. Even though I was already able to survive longer than RotP takes to recharge most of the time, the added durability will be nice.

Anyone want to take at look at this updated build?
  16. Mr_Kingkillaha

    Fire^3 build

If anyone has the time to glance over this build and point out any glaring errors it would be appreciated.
    Things to consider:
I stay in melee 100% of the time, so I figured I would basically incorporate RotP into my aoe attack chain. I dont actually expect to die all of the time, but when I do the baddies will know that Im upset about it.
The blaster ATO will be going in burn, which is why it is blank.
I consider myself pretty good at managing purple inspirations, so I should be sitting at the ranged def cap and close to melee when I need it most.
I keep hot feet bound to a key for quick toggling for endurance.
Hasten isnt perma, but I guess its close enough.

So anything stand out as being overly wasteful on slots or could be better in some way?

  17. Redraw usually doesn't bother me much, but making an arch/* has never made it past level 4 for me.
Some combo of arch/arch is the way to go.
  18. Well it ended up being 800 points instead of free. At least now we know that "the devs will never do that" is not a valid criticism of an idea.

Yes, I necro'd this post to gloat :P
  19. Slot conductive aura and jolting chain for end mod. Sapping is going to be a big part of your survivability. CA gives you barely any healing, and JC does crap damage. A good plan for surviving is to use the sleep patch, jump in with CA and drain psyche, and use JC on a boss. Everyone will be out of end quickly, then you can do whatever you want to them.
  20. Just search fire farm in AE, there should be a million of them.

  22. Getting your def to 32.5% and keeping a handful of purple insps around is plenty effective.

But playing 40+ levels where I have no choice but to melee is a tougher road to hoe than it needs to be.
As I level up I just take what powers I need at the time, then respec later. My current elec/psi has gremlins right now and i strongly dislike pets. They are helpful now, but when i turn up the difficulty after getting permadom they won't be.
I don't actually waste much chasing defense on my doms. My plant/psi that i love so much runs +4x8 on less than 20% ranged def. That's sort of the point of what I was saying before, with enough mez it shouldn't matter if you are in melee. Against AVs either a tank or a buffer should keep you in melee just fine. I cant say anything about soloing AVs because that isn't something that i try to do.
  24. So the dire wolf appears to be about 8 feet tall. Even though I wanted a bear as the T3, I am okay with this.

What about lvl 1-40 as you're leveling up? Plinking away with Dart and Cage won't cut it.

Oh and I'd like to see all you folks stand next to an AV with your melee bravado and show me why you don't need a ST ranged chain.
I cant solo an AV, true. I tried to solo a gm once with my plant psi, but after a 10 minutes of not making progress I gave up. Never died though.
Still don't see why I would need a ranged chain though. /psi wants to live in melee, and it does a pretty good job.
