wow I just read that sentence and it doesnt make much sense.

I never expect to be power levelled.

My pb was useful at level 1 and although ive only recently started to feel powerful in human form (level 27), I was able to contribute massively as nova with build up and using radiant strike a lot.

the knockback is annoying. I have 3 aoes that do knockback and it can mess up a herd quite nicely .

However, most experienced people know about using walls to contain knockback, or to fly above the mob so knockback becomes knockdown to the floor.

I'd say you've played with some rubbish kheldians basically.

My pb is the only reason I still play coh.

well you are right there isn't much point in it anyway because they don't do anything.

but personally I wanted my dwarf to move faster so I could tank better.

Absolutely no difference that I could see in either forward jump speed or jump height.

I don't like pvp because it's really clumsy.

I don't like the way you can target somebody through a building so you always know where they are.

I don't like the bendy fireballs. Basically, there's no skill involved in actually hitting someone, it's calculated by the server.

The only skill involved is movement and choosing the right powers at the right time. Anyone who is seen as skilled in pvp is basically somebody who clicks buttons in an efficient order. This renders it completely pointless in my view.

Also, certain powersets are at a huge advantage.

Being perma held and slowly killed is no fun, neither is being forced to carry a full tray of break frees just to play pvp.

basically, I just hate the general arrogance and by contrast whininess of pvp players. It's like some kind of giant ********** where everyone pats each other on the back in certain pvp cliques. All my perception of course.

The only people who nearly made me enjoy pvp was an ice tank called the ice duke who had a really great attitude and made me laugh, and cassandraa who almost convinced me that a tank can be useful in pvp.

But mostly I hate pvp because it has been crowbarred into this game at the expense of the pve game. Pvp is basically responsible for the watering down of the pve game. This is cold hard FACT despite what statesman says in his press releases written by alistair campbell.

Sorry but this is exactly what the devs intended with their nerfs. They don't want the tank to be able to do his job.

As mr cuddles, even with taunt and provoke, once you hit the 17 cap, your team are in trouble.

It should still be possible for a tank to completely protect his team from ONE spawn though. I gues some people build tanks to be scrappers.

I agree too, mace is gimped only the finest players could get a mace tanker to level 50.

Sorry. That was the general consensus I got from mace users on the forums. I have never played Mace so you are better off judging it. The OP did suggest soloing.

True, it's probably not a great solo powerset choice. It's also not as high damage as, say energy because oft he resists as I mentioned. But it does have disorient and two good aoes.

I just got all defensive because if you just dismiss it as being [censored] then it belittles my 50 levels :P

ah didnt know that. It's still resisted as much as lethal anyway I think

Dont dismiss it like that please. It's got great single target damage and 3 attacks do knockup or knockback. It has one cone and one pbaoe which does disorient so in that respect it's got good aoe and control potential too. It's also got a single target disorient.

In pvp I have kept people permenantly on the floor using mace attacks so it's far from rubbish.

In pve the disorient and knockup/down can reduce incoming damage nicely. Also, the knockup and back can keep a boss on his back too (especially if you take air superiority too as I did)

The thing that lets it down is that like axe, the damage is lethal so it's often resisted in the late game.

It's also not chosen very much as a powerset so if you want to be fairly unique in the world of coh, choose mace.

I'm thinking it might be useful to stun them then switch to nova for a few aoes, then back to dwarf for when the stun runs out.

I switch a lot between dwarf and human form and I am wondering if pulsar will be useful to take?
