I've not long pipped 50 myself and the Kheldian is the one AT I know the least about. There is a recent thread on here which gives details on the Kheldians themselves, if you think it will help! (Can't remember it's name but i started the posting about 2 weeks ago, so look up my recent posts 
)
I do know that Kheldian adapts to its team, e.g. if it is on a team full of blasters, it will be better at blasting.
I've just gone in and read thru each power as I level up. The way I see it, is if you don't like it you can always respec!
Oh and travel powers at level 1.... godsend

That's a WS, they gain damage bonuses from blasters and scrappers and resistance bonuses from defenders and tanks. It's the opposite for PBs. One builds on the teams strength and the other tries to balance the team.
