  1. All of the powers that use the Fire/Ice Sword animation (Pulverize (Mace) and Gash from Axe).
Shadow Maul - And other attacks in the Dark Melee set, make them look more evil and less punchy style
Blazing Bolt - Looks like taking a...yeah you know
Katana Style weapon for both Fire and Ice Melee
Removing all Swords from both Fire and Ice Melee attacks
    Barrage (Energy Melee)
    Total Focus and Thunderstrike
    Stun (Energy Melee)
    All Build/Aim/Power Boost powers
    Eviscerate
Punch options for all of Martial Arts
    Lunge/Followup (Spines/Claws)
  2. Borrowing from other sets - Adding in animations from other sets that fit the attack type like Shadow Maul Swapped for a shorter range Firebreath/Frost breath, Powerthrust for bonesmasher, Sweeping Strike (Dual blades) for Eviscerate/Ripper etc...And vice versa for all of them. Figured this might be easier than entire new animations.

Martial Arts Style for more sets - Almost every set would look cool with a more martial arts flavor added to it.

More animated weapons/shields - Elemental shields, Vanguard shield, rularuu weapons (the eyes), Nemesis Staff, and Black Wand all look really cool and more animated weapon/shield options would be really cool. Especially ones that animate as you get them out like the Vanguard shield (so sweet).

Katana/Claws - There is too much time inbetween each attack, the way the attacks are currently animated. Dual Blades does a good job of filling the animation time with DoT so it doesn't feel like the player is sitting there waiting to be allowed to attack (Though the attacks are longer than most melee sets). A change to the rooted portion of Katana/Claws attacks or a change to make the attacks fill up the space would be sweet.

Fire Blast - Fireblast - Ever since the first two powers in every set have been 'Balanced' for defiance this power allows the player to slide around after the animation has played. This power went from looking like MLB fastball pitch to being more like a slow pitch summer league toss.

Fire/Ice Melee - Fire/Iceswords - Really needs a new animation, would love to get Fire Katana from Oni.

Energy Melee - Stun, Total Focus, Energy Transfer - DPS Balance asside, this set is horribly slow to animate.

Taunts in General - Variety in Taunt animations, more than half of them use double handed, pulling towards the chest. How about the getsome emote as a taunt or the Martial Arts packs bringit for Taunts?

Alt animations changing DPS - Switch from a higher DPS quicker animation (Claws/MA/Dark) to a slower higher burst damage (BS/Energy Melee) animation for the whole set. So there could be more of a feel of difference between the sets, like the say that Wolverine is different than Sabertooth or Venom and Spiderman.

Fency animations for Broadsword and or Katana - Would be cool to have a more traditional style of sword fighting.

Runeward turned into a full set - This is one of my favorite powers (From Croatoa Arcs) the animation takes some time but it looks really cool and I would love to see a full set animated with a similar style to it.

Battle Axe - Mace got a huge boost and seems really solid now, But axe could use another look at the animations or damage to bring it up to par.

Dark Melee - Shadow Maul - I have never felt this name matched the animation and its always bothered me, some alt animation would be good here - Jacob's Ladder but with Dark damage or something like that.

Jump Kick - Change the name to flip kick for the love of all that is holy, this animation made my brain hurt since before Issue 1, please change it or the name.

Fighing Pool - Kick - This power underperforms in almost every way to boxing, though not in comedy factor. Faster animation could help a lot.

    Issue 13: BUGS

Lackey/Sidekick System and Summoning mastermind pets

    Server: Triumph
Zone: Mission zones, not tested in regular city zones or hazard
Character name: Bokken Ninja/Pain MM Lvl 38
    Time: Several
    Location: Beginning of several missions
    Mission: Any 5/5 testing
    Mission Contact: Any
    Bug Description:

    1. Enter Mission with a Lackey/Sidekick
    2. Sidekick starts going out of range of mentor/boss at the same time that mentor/boss is summoning mastermind pets
    3. Only part of the pets will summon, should have 3 genin 2 jounin and 1 Oni
Results: Most tests of this bug gave 2 Genin, 0 Jounin, and 1 Oni but if I was quick about placing the summoning I got 1 genin, 0 jounin, and 0 Oni to summon

    Notes:
    A) Most of the time while the sk/lk was going out of range I could only start the summoning for the Jounin and Genin before they were fully out of range and it would only summon 2 Genin and No Jounin at all
    B) Entering the mission before the sk/lk had entered would let me summon all pets with no issues.
    C) If the sk/lk were fully out of range, Not going out of range, of mentor/boss I could summon pets with no issues.
    D) Tested 5 times and 4 were the same result 2 genin, 0 jounin, 1 Oni. One time it was only 1 genin and nothing else that spawned.
    E) Pets that dont summon dont appear dead or come and then despawn, they simply dont appear and the power is wasted till it recharges.

Please put the LGTF back the way it was. It added much needed TF content for the villain side 35+ and was something I and many others looked forward too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll Second this, why not make it just like the ITF where if you got a group of lower levels together you could run it at that level as well? The TF is pretty fun and I dont see why it needs to be restricted since its been open up until now. Seems like a pointless bug fix that one but the developers cared about...
  5. When I had first heard of the dual builds Idea I had expected the builds to be quickly changable and easy to manage but the fact that you cant level up your alt built like you do respec is really annoying and time consuming.

Also the toll this takes on my cash flow is pretty massive. I never really had team or solo characters I mostly went for functional but the little bit I have tried with my characters so far doesnt make me want to take part in the dual build aspect of the game at all. Specially if you had a character that had been bascially finished off for enhancements (maxed out, best stuff you can get) and then to imagine buying a whole nother set of that?! I dont know how many millions of influence I poured into my DB/SR scrapper but I cant imagine buying that many Lotg recharge procs again ever...
  6. Got a Ninja/Pain mastermind right now, really enjoying the set so far. Im pretty familiar with Ninjas and I knew that they would do really well with having a pocket healer following them around. I have never quite understood why the masterminds end use has to be so freaking high though for most of the powers. I know I know balance but I cycle through my heals twice in the early levels and im completely tapped out, not to mention if I have to train my ninjas or recast them.

I suspect that once I get to a higher level I will be able to cut that end use down quite a bit, but in the 1-15 so far its been pretty brutal and has come down to picking healing teammates or recasting my minions, most of the time my teammates win but then when the battle is over all I am is "Healer" with half strength or less heals and no endurance rather then a mastermind with some freakin bad [censored] ninjas doing my bidding.

I would imagine that for Corrupters that take this set they are often looked on like empath hero side, in that they "have" to take every pain power to be a good Heelxor and they should as little blasting as possible. I know that is often the role the healer has to take on but I dont think that has to be the case many times.
  7. The only new arcs I have run are the new Midnighters arcs on the hero side, I really enjoyed them. I liked all the ambushes fighting the bosses and some of the clever twists on the boss fights.

I cant remember what the name of the woman was in the first arc but I was really disappointed that on the mission where you are supposed to stop her you didnt get to fight her, rather then take her out as a hostage.

Also, while I did enjoy the arcs a lot I felt that many of the bosses should have been elevated up to EB status and possibly AV if you had a big enough team for them, especially people the Magic Man.

If there are more arcs along these style in the works im all for it, or if old run down arcs are going to be redone that would be sweet too.
  8. For me the day job "buffs" are too short lived to ever be anything of importance to me versus how long my character is offline.

I think many of them should be switched from being time based to charge based, as in instead of speed run 20 missions in the time you have available to, the next 20 missions you run you get X bonus on. I understand that doesnt really work with things like the regen bonus, the speed buff, and a couple others I cant really think of but it makes alot more sense to me to have the mission bonus Day Job buffs have charges.

There have been so many times when I log on and see that I have a recipe buff from being logged out in the Ouroboros but before I can do a mission i need to buy some fresh enhancements or change my costume, something comes up to take up the 10 min or less that i have built of this buff and I never get to see any real effect of it in game, other then the time badge tracker.

Also why dont any of the buffs when they are effecting the player give a read out of how much time is left on them? It becomes kind of a crap shoot trying to figure out, "Okay I was off for 8 and 3/4 hours last night and I should 3.36 min of run speed buff!" example there not fact at all.
  9. The set I find really incredibly fun, favorite scrapper secondary by far because it finally fills in the hole of having a character that can actually be in melee and help buff up his teammates too without having to be near death most of the time.

The end use I noticed was a little high, I was able to afford some good IOs and have taken care of that issue but I know many people that dont have that luxury are having issues with it.

I still dont fully understand why One with the Shield is a +res and +max hp buff instead of def and hp, since the set seems to get a lot more of its survivabitlity from the def portion. Most of the time the only reason I use the power is to boost my end recovery for the time its up for long battle stretches. When I have really needed the power, which is full slotted up with damage res and healing IOs to around 90% enhancement to both, it has done little to slow or stop me from dying since it only raises my resistance to medium level.

One thing that consistantly worries me about the set is that it will be massively nerfed because I am enjoying it so much and up till this point every time I like a set means its going to be nerfed in one issue or less...If this is the case please for the love of god stop releasing powers/power sets before you properly test them so we dont continue to get attached to them and the way they perform and suddenly have that completely altered to the point of near nonrecognition...I'm looking at you, Fiery Aura...

Objectively, there are more Task Forces heroside than there are Strike Forces, villainside.

There are more merit-earning opportunities heroside than there are villainside, too.

Will this be addressed in the future with villain-specific content?

[/ QUOTE ]So far everything has been great for me. As the person I quoted mentioned it really makes getting merits on villains alot harder to do because they have way fewer options. I dont see them ever making any more villain specific content anytime soon so to me the best option at this point is to make merits account based so even if you hero tfs you could use the merits on villains. Otherwise it gets old really fast. I cant count how many times I done the LRSF and Silver Mantis tfs ever since issue 13 came out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I second this account based merits idea, I heard it come up during beta and thought it was a good idea then too. Like right now I keep trying to run TFs with my new scrapper who is luckily in a good level range finally but its hard when your friends want to get Merits on their characters too but arent anywhere near your level. I hear "I want this character to get all my Merits" almost every day from people. Rather then spread out all the merits between characters a lot of people are focusing them through one character and having that one character do allt he merit recipe buying.

Also so far I think the merit rewards for more story arcs are a little low, until I started actually running task forces in the mid 30s I believe my character only had 50 or so merits and I had done a ton of the content at that point to those merits. When I went to a vendor to see what I could get with my shiny merits the selection was very small and not very useful.
  11. Do we get badge credit for places we have already logged out in the last four years of playing? I doubt that there is some data file out there keeping track of every place we logged since we started playing the game but it would be kind sweet.

    Issue 13 Update

    [ QUOTE ]
There are a few of us that just want to PLAY the game and not neccessarily make missions. With all the fanfare we keep hearing about the Mission Creator, I do hope there is something in there for us then just Shields, PD and a few more Cimerora missions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I believe there will be more, as they have been saying, but that is my fear as well that this will be similar to the....gulp...Arena and have a patch with not a whole lot else to it other then something a few people use and the rest only occasionaly pick up. For me Issue 4 was the worst thing that ever happened to this game, never been a pvp fan and its influence on pve in this game, admitted or denied, is still annoying.

Also How about i13 gets rid of Travel Power suppresion?
  13. Can the aura's for the Cyborg set be made available at character creation? The advertisement and info for the Cyborg pack doesn't say word one about the fact you still have to get to level 30 to unlock those auras.

Minimum it needs to say that in the info for the pack even if you put in some fine print. I was really disappointed to find that out and it seems silly since I payed cold hard cash monies for it and I have to work up a new Robot/cyborg styled character to level 30 to be able to use them.

Also why is it we still have to get all the way to 30 for those? And there are still none at all available at creation? Same for the full capes and more wings? There should at least be a few options other then the Vet angel and demon wings and the shoulder cape.

I had been expecting some to get added or perhaps a 'Booster' will be available to make them unlocked? I know five bucks isnt much but Id like to see some cheap ones to unlock stuff like that in the game. Specially for the wings since the price in game has fallen so much. If you are patient at all you can get any of the wings/boots for 50k or usually a lot less like in the 1k or less area.
  14. How about instead of the old vet powers, how about instead you give us options for the IO temp power attacks, pistol, bat, or hammer?! That would rock my world since I really like all three of those. Helmets are pretty meh since I never use the one I have. And recycling paper is good recycling rewards is boring...
  15. Throwing my two cents in on claws animations and damage. I know what im about to say is not gonna sit well with most of the claws people out there but its something that has bothered me for the last almost three years of playing.

Why does claws have ranged attacks at all?
Their friggin claws and I know they can be swung really fast but to make that into ranged attacks just seems really lame and out of character with the entire idea of claws. Maybe it was used to help distance the set from Wolverine comparisons...I dont know.

I would have been a lot happier, with my claw regen that I got to level 37 scrapper before axing him, if his attacks had all been melee.

Besides the range not jiving with me I found that claws didnt have the flow, even with the new animations, that other sets have. It feels jerky. Dark and energy melee can just fly non stop with the damage (other then shadow maul and total focus). Martial arts can too. But claws has more of chop...chop..........(eviscerate).....chop kind of feel to it. It reminds me of my Axe tank.

Part of this feeling I know comes from follow up which i feel is the worst animation they have, even more then jab which I am finally able to tolerate some after leveling up my SS tank. Its clunky looking .

I know that many of the attacks in claws have pretty fast activation times but I think they could be made faster still. For supposedly having the fast attacks with low end cost ideal behind it it sure hogs the end and doesnt really deliver on the speed either.

I want to see claw attacks that that take half a second to fire off like energy punch and shadow punch to a max of say 1 and half seconds. The damage right now isnt horrible its just that for the end cost and the speed they fire at it ends up being bad.

So in conclusion: Claws with range, follow up animation and claws animations in general....BOOoooo and Claws in General Yippy!

    I tired
  16. I know this post was a page back but I have to say that the changes that were made to burn are at this point the only ones in the game that I cant accept.

Why is it that the only time I can really use burn on my level 50 fire axe tank is when a controller has held/immobilized the entire group without fear of the group scattering because of the fear? Am I supposed to reroll my tank as fire ice so I can get some use out of this power again?

What is the point of this power any more? It is worse then temperature protection because at least that has the potential to keep you alive rather then only doing a crappy amount of damage (without massive amounts of buffing) and possibly getitng your teammates killed. Not because the enemies arent aggroed on to me anymore but because they switch from melee to aoe and cone attacks which has smited many a squishy. Remember Obersts shotguns?

And why was immobilization res picked to be put on that? Why? 90% of fire tanks take the leaping pool giving us our immobilization protection (combat jumping) and knockback res (acrobatics). btw whats with having us still have to pick up two more powers to get that protection?

Wasnt some of the reasoning behind Fire having weaker res and some holes in its defense being that it does more damage? Fiery embrace is now required for that to still be a reasoning.

And if rise of the pheonix is mentioned in that reasoning that is a horrible example of the set doing more damage. At level 50 I dont care about debt at all so I kill my tank whenever I get the chance to use one of the coolest powers in the game. But pre 50 debt meant something especially before it was nerfed to the point of pointlessness as well. Burn and debt near tie for lamest things in the game. Even hot feet has a use now.

I used to team with my roommate a lot with my fire axe and his invul energy tank. A lot of times we would end up splitting up at some point during a mission because we were following the "tank". Everytime without fail he would finish his group well before I would and that is only with using the energy melee attacks. I was using the "mighty" burn and my axe attacks. I had fiery embrace and build up and used them as frequently as I could and he didnt have build up. Dont have any cold hard numbers for this information other then we were both heavily slotted for damage.

I like a challenge otherwise I wouldnt have picked the "squishy" tank set and I like to be creative but I am tired of thinking of ways that would enable me to use Burn; not at its old potential but at any level of practical use not just the situational "use" it has now.

For you, as in you the face of the development staff in charge of powers and what-have-you, to post and say things as careless as your pc revamping of the word nerf to describe a power that helped this set to function on an equal level with the other sets makes me so much more then angry it truly offends me. I really wanted to swear at you and cuss you out for doing that but Im going to hold back.

Burn needed to change and not just because of all those herding punks and dont say it was for any other reason. Herding still happens today but in a more limited form but there hasnt been any clear discussion from the dev team on whether or not they should adjust burn so that it could be used in a more regular PvE setting. Pvp non use I can handle cause it still is pretty shacky at best on Triumph (pvping that is) and I rarely do it.

I left this game a while back to give WoW a try but I came back because I believe this game to be superior in many ways. I have been playing for at more then 2 years (month after beta) now and have enjoyed nearly all of that time. But this change makes me not want to play the game some days and this attitude that this power isnt going to be changed again just makes me angry.

My character isnt ruined and or doomed for deletion but he isnt anywhere near what he used to be and I believe this set to be broken and in need fixing. If you need suggestions I have many for this set and many others in the game.

Not going to swear but im gonna a;kshdg;auhgoaipsdhg;oahisdg;hilasd That is all. /rant
