    Grav/dark??

RiverOcean is correct. If the build looks sound you don't get much feedback on it. We tend to all jump on the "are you smoking crack" bandwagon when the build looks odd.
I don't have much experience with the two powersets you are choosing.
On a quick scan the build looks good. You got your recharge up there and frankin-slotted a bit to tweak other powers.
I will note that you are looking at a 4.5 billion influence build here, and that's just off the top of my head.

    Bow Assault

If you mixed the bow with martial arts (or any fist/foot attacks) for the melee attacks, that would work. It's a natural fit to a bow user to have some kind of "judo chop!"
  3. The other comments on your build, Dark Energon, made me pull it up as well just to see what is going on. doomrider really hits the nail on the head with his comments.
Dropping in sets all over the place will make the character better there is no doubt. When spending the time, effort and money you are going to shell out for this character you might want to think about what is it you want it to do. Right now you are a jack of all trades but sadly a maser of none.
When building a Dominator your first stat is improving recharge. The domination power is just to good to pass up. Even if you don't want a perma-dom, you must want something out of the build. Do you want to be a damage machine? Maybe you want capped defense to everything and laugh at tanks when they face-plant and your still standing? It is up to you, of course. It's your character.
If it helps, I tend to build my doms in this order: Recharge till I get perma-domination, Defense to the cap for the way I will be playing the dom. (Melee types get capped melee type defense, ranged types get ranged defense etc.) Most times by going with this approach I don't really have many slots left to focus on something else, so what ever bonuses i picked up getting the build tend to just be gravy. But that's my play style.
One of these days I really need to make a Dom with as much recharge as i can pump into them. Sadly my altitis keeps my checkbook pretty lean and really EPIC recharge doms tend to need a bunch of purples to create. With what you are spending on this build. Try going at it with as much recharge as you can get. I think you will be very happy with the results.
  4. I have a question about Wolfie the wonder dog. At higher levels and at the Incarnate level how well does he survive in melee?
Most of my dom's play in melee with capped defense to S/L (at least) I have found that Jack Frost, the Fire Pimps and the Fly Trap would bite the dust faster than the power would recharge on a perma-dom build.
  5. I wouldn't jump to skipping the cone immob. Heart of Darkness leaves the mobs wandering around and an immobilize it is nice to hold them in place while you stomp them into goo.

I will toss in that a PBAoE stun with a cone immobilize is a touch awkward. If you immoblize first on the way into melee then stun it works well. Sadly that causes to much aggro so it's safer to SS/Stealth in, PBAoE stun, immobilize what you can in front of you then stomp to goo.
  6. The trick with working that "window" is making sure you stay on top of Domination and Hasten.
I put Domination on auto and Hasten is right in the middle of all my powers so I can keep my eye on it. My builds tend to leave me in a similar situation as you have. At 200 million a pop for those purples (and higher) I tend to skip purples
14 seconds can go pretty quick and never underestimate critters that slow down your recharge.
As OneFrigidWitch points out you can build in bigger windows, those builds tend to be very expensive.
Once you get in a rhythm of the timing things flow pretty smoothly.
  7. I agree with Blue, you are off to a good start.
The way to look at any build is to mentally ask myself, what is my play style?

I play my ice/ice/ice in melee. I went perma-dom first (in a dom I would say that's your first move every time) I then went for capped Smashing / Lethal defense (45% for regular game content) Next I maxed out my end recovery as the set is an endurance pig!
Right now your haste is good and your defense is good but a ways off from being capped.
    Read this about defense: http://dechskaison.blogspot.com/2011...important.html
That's not to say you HAVE to cap your defense. I've seen epic recharge doms to amazing stuff with little defense. Again my play style is right next to the melee types so having defense for me is a must. But your mileage may vary.
Once you figure out how you will play your dom, line up your bonus stats to match your play style.
Oh, and don't forget to look at your checkbook. Sometimes it's nice to dream but using every purple you can get your hands on might be out of reach. I know for me it tends to be.
  8. I put this in Arctic Air and have not seen it proc. Is this working as intended?
  9. Historically the Dev’s don’t like to change powers to much from the original unless the power is so borked up there just doesn’t seem to be any other choice. I have tried to keep that in mind for these suggestions.

Chiliban / Frostbite: Remove the anti-knockdown aspect this power creates so when you cast it on top of Ice Slick, they can’t run off the slick and keep falling.

Flash Freeze: This one is tricky. It is supposed to be Ices’ answer to Flash fire or Stalagmites; it’s just that the sleep part doesn’t work right with the damage.
So working with what we have in the power:
We can remove the damage and no one will take the power.
Leave it alone and no one will take the power.
We increase the damage so it could be worth taking but then the Fire Dom’s will cry cause they are the ones who are supposed to do all the damage =).
    or
Make the power work like Static Field.

Shiver: If I could have a Christmas Present it would be making Shiver work like a watered down version of Heat Loss.
  10. 1.5 million for a puppy!?

I swear the Dev’s have rigged the market! They are selling the inf. to the spammers and taking a cut!

Different kinds, that you can swim in, like in the ITF!

    Oh and Slurpee Machines
  12. Just wanted to chime in that I love this year’s event!

    Gwar!!!!!

    *Cough

    Sorry…..

And the new way the doors work!!! Love it! Love it!
Get a good 8-man team working a row and all heck breaks loose!

Sure you get the people running down the street jacking doors and running away. They can have the costume salvage.. I want the phat lewts they left behind in inf, salvage, and recipes, whatever.

A suggestion for next year would be during the Zombie raids, if you kil… apprehend (where in the heck do they find the room for all those arrested zombies!?)
    Enough EB’s in the raid
You spawn one wicked, towering AV of epic proportions..

Like the mega 5th Column Robots in the ITF Epic AV!!!

Ya know this raid thing could get to be something for every holiday!

Let’s see .. We have a Valentines Day event all ready but the attack of the killer cupids raining down in Paragon and the Islands might be neat…

St. Patrick’s day could be hordes of Leprechauns or hordes of drunken Irishman..Oh wait no hordes of drunken Irishman would just be Boston after a World Series loss.. (Go Sox!)

Easter THE EVIL BUNNY HORDS OF DOOM! They got teeth! Bite your hand off!

4th of July could just be random firework attacks like when the ships attack, but no hordes of stuff I can think of

Columbus Day… him.. Well having lived in “Leaf Peeper Country” we could have the attack of the killer leaf peepers! It would require that every street in the game be clogged with traffic that doesn’t move for hours…

    Halloween we got that covered.

Thanksgiving it’s got to be rabid turkey attacks with toxic poo.

And the Winter Event is pretty tied up but Killer Elves, Reindeer, Winter Lords, and Snowman would sure be pretty neat! (Jack in Irons dressed like Santa could be a follow up GM that spawns 10% of the time! I am a genius!)

But as per usual I get off topic.

    Thanks for a great event!!
  13. *jumps up and cheers!!!!!!

  15. Thank you dev team!
There was rumor that I10 would be something special,
    and you did not disappoint!

    A++
  16. An enjoyable read!

Made me smile a few times.

Thank you for taking the time to write and post it!!

*Turns on anti-dev word scrambling device---
I just want to thank the many people on this thread who are working hard to help keep the tanker communities little secret. While you’re here throwing up the smoke screen for the Dev team, many of us are out tanking our little hearts out on 8 person invincible level missions… I just wish some of you would play your tankers more…
The new generation players seem to think a tank is a scrapper and play them that way… It takes me ½ a mission to learn my pick up team what a “real” tank can do… I know the work your doing here is important to the Tanker community… but we miss you in the field!
Keep up the good work! We got the Dev team hood-winked!
