We won't see any base love until i24, if any at all.
-
I would like to see another poll given by the devs on players thoughts, ideas, reactions to doing something so radical.
I think that would be the best way to see which direction to head from here on in for anything base related. -
I would totally bulldoze everyone's sg, with a smile from ear to ear, proudly taking the blame, the hate, the pitchforks....
for a newer more stable easier to update editor.
for the glory of uploading, downloading, saving, sharing, of rooms and custom made objects.
you are talking to the one that constructed the Twisted Burrow.
THE BASE that influenced the team to painstakingly install floaty tools.
I'll take cred..er....BLAME... for everything.
Gladly.
Edit: and as for the problem or issue of time invested, also see PRESTIGE REFUND.
My drive for this is simple: Bases need to be made relevant...they need to be made a selling point as they once were, when I bought the City of Heroes disk at best buy, I saw "build bases for raids" as they are now? No. So Bulldoze it. All of it. I'll take the blame. I got the keys to the bulldozer right here. -
super packs: 1,000,000 prestige
edit: not that I'd ever buy them -
Quote:Feel free to email me I have zero problems giving polite yet honest details on my feedback. To be honest, by email address, we don't know you from Adam. Regardless of that, I would hope you've never felt pressured by the Development/Community team to not be honest, so long as it's presented in a respectful and constructive manner.
In other words, there's no one going through the survey results and making notes on your game account saying "this guy doesn't like new costumes" or anything of that nature. This survey has zero impact on your game account.
At the most, we might email players individually for some more detailed feedback questions. Even that is highly doubtful.
I'll even get on skype or vent if so desired. -
is there a link for that by any chance?

"but we're constantly trying to outdo ourselves."
Might want to rethink the whole clicky feely thing with hybrid and the path to unlock it.
There's more being UN-done than OUT-done.
Biiiiiig difference in those two words... -
Quote:This last part is where they stand to piss off more people than they know.Procs are a chance to happen. Which necessarily mean a chance not to happen. The new PPMs had a mechanical side effect that in some powers their chance to happen went to 100%. A decision was made to allow that to happen.
Now that the PPM formula is being revamped, the PPMs are getting an over all buff (we don't know how much, but I'm assuming the buff is to compensate for how the change in mechanics might slightly nerf how some PPMs currently work). With that over all buff, it's likely that the PPMs which were going off at 100% would be too over powered, which justifies capping their proc rate to 90%.
That's not a built in chance to fail, unless you purposely misconstrue what procs are meant to be and assume that 100% proc rate is normal... it's not. It was an aberration which was at one time allowed and will now be disallowed.
(And please don't bring the 100% procking Health and Stealth IOs into this... they are different creatures and were made to be 100% procking from their inception.) -
Dunno if this has been mentioned but since I don't see it on the product description where is SHOULD be...
The paragon bought enhancements are not +boostable, Anyone interested should be aware of that before you shell out money for the purples and the boosters in the hopes of making +'d purples.
They don't behave the same way as in-game purps.
This WAS brought up in sand-pounding beta. -

you have no idea how badly I miss her. @bubblegumcrisis
Quote:I'm ... less happy with it than I thought I'd be. Two related complaints:
(1) It's VERY visually "busy." I'm getting a bit of a headache looking at it. And ...
(2) If it were 10' or 12' tall, it would look like a mecha. At 4' to 7' tall, it's going to look like a Power Ranger. Not, I guess, that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not really what I was looking for.
The complaints are related because that level of spikiness and that level of complexity in the geometry would look a lot better if the thing were 3 or 4 times the size. This would make a GREAT design for a Giant Monster ... or, better yet, a character-substitute model, so we could wear it as a giant mecha to fight an up-gunned Chronos Titan with something its own size. But at standard character size? Not only am I not tempted, I'm really kind of dreading seeing them on other people.
You and me both. I'm trying to figure out how I can get my claws on that set as soon as possible. -
how does one get extra tokens for beta?
-
Give me those RIGHT NOW!
NOW DAMMIT! -
If you dev's really want to know about pvp experiences, you can just skip through us and ask Positron, that's right, Mr. Matt Miller, about his experiences with a certain pvp crew on the cusp of i13.
Be sure to ask him how he reliably got his main handed to him and then berated for "sucking at his own game"
I'd say ask Back Alley Brawler the same, since what I saw when I logged in, was "...and THIS is why we are making the changes to pvp" ...but he isn't with PS anymore.
I'm pretty sure that Matt's personal experiences with pvp in this game can pretty much cover everything said about the pvp attitude and why most people avoid pvp.
Edit: as for me? I was in that pvp league at the time this was going on, I was new to pvp. I wanted to learn and become good, no, GREAT at it. when I saw what my crew was doing to the lead devs, and the response and changes delivered, I decided I wanted NOTHING to do with pvp, the attitude, or the people that celebrated the fact that they delighted in causing others grief. -

Quote:I think by then I had already packed my bags.Guess I21's Mercy revamp, the new I22 20-25 arcs, the villain half of the SSAs, and the villainous choices throughout Dark Astoria never happened, right?
Even though it didn't affect me, its good to see some love went to redside. -
Most people want to escape this world.
In your defense, not that you need any, I'll say this:
Given the proper environments, with all needs met, all hunger fed, and shelter from threats,
yes people are generally good natured.
However, the world isn't really about any of that.
The world is about mother nature, and you know what she is?
The same mother nature that spawns tornadoes, hurricanes, Puts animals in situations that make them kill and eat their young. In alot of places starve to death, It's a gruesome place if you think about it. Hell, you don't have to think about it, you can youtube it and see it for yourself. You can also tune into cnn and see just how other countries treat other countries and even their own peoples in this "world" you reference.
That whole "survival of the fittest" thing has both animal and man doing some very "evil" things to come out ahead and in alot of cases just to survive.
On a more philosophical note evil is a concept of man, not nature. This "world" is all about nature.
