I've come back after a 2 year hiatus and would like a little help building my new toon. I was never a miser so I'm rather poor these days, some stuff got expensive! So I'm trying to keep the price bearable, I'm willing to do the work if added expense is worth it though.
Just a note, this char is duoing with a friend who has never played before, he's plant/storm, so I haven't focused to much on solo ability. I appreciate any help, tips or ideas anyone can give.

Running +4 players debuffed mobs buffed was very fun, and trying to run them now feels... hollow.

The markets' never been great for instant gratification.

I didn't bring any hard data but I just solo'd from lvl 24 to 29 in dark astoria (no patrol xp) I got 8 recipies, 3 were uncommon 5 were common, salvage drops where plentiful at 192 (I did kill some mobs with full salvage)

I have no experience with either set, so this is mostly just guessing and whatnot.
There's something about the slotting that just doesn't sit well with me, can't put my finger on it. If anybody has any advice, alterations, etc please let me know!

I was fiddling with the accolades before saving the build, I had to borrow a buddies laptop to use mids, so I was messing around (I only run linux, so I never had the pleasure of using mids). I was aiming for near capped melee defense with 1 parry, maybe a little overkill for /wp I'm no expert. I didn't even think of putting 2 perf shifter procs in, must have slipped my mind.
The budget is only limited by how much you're willing to work for it.
Thanks for the help, I'm new to mids and designing "well" thought out builds, so I knew I was making mistakes. -
Made some changes, notably dropping SoW and Assault for Hasten and Conserve Power.
Hasten still has a downtime of roughly 25 seconds.
Would I be able to pull off Parry-Disembowel-Headsplitter-Hack-Disembowel-Headsplitter without Parry dropping, I couldn't find activation times on redtomax... Maybe I'm blind...

I've never did this before, but I run linux, and sadly dont' have access to Mid's anymore.
Right now I'm just looking for a general 250millionish build for doing task forces, soloing story arcs and such. Thanks in advance for any help. -
BS is high damage, but also slow activation, in high end IO builds you're limited by activation times, also being lethal damage it's big orange numbers are going to be neutered somewhat.

The capped S/L defense is nice. Very nice, in fact. But against big boss farm, Fissure is just as key, because it's an AOE stun that stacks with Flashfire (or itself) and also damage great damage. It's a huge damage mitigation tool.

I am of the mind that any attack a scrapper does, regardless of source, should crit. Given it is our inherent and god given right! Then again, on my dm/sd shield charge is already so very cash.

I was more looking for blaster advice, for this pairing. As he's new to the game he has alot to learn, and I dont' really know what to teach as I've never teamed on my fire/fire and never played a defender.

I'm about to duo as a dark/sonic def with an irl friend of mine who's new to the game playing an elec/elec. As this is my first def, and my fire/fire is my only blaster I was looking for any advice on how to pair this combo up effectively. Thanks
