In every walk of life you'll encounter people who fail to perform to your expectations. The best way of dealing with this, if it reaches the point where you find yourself completely distracted from what you were attempting, is to give detailed feedback to those who have the ability to make positive changes. You'd be surprised at how much people who do any form of customer service actually care about their customers (except forum mods, those guys suck).

I've had good experiences with GM's, and not so good experience. In this and many other games. In CoH I'm able to give incredibly precise directions because I'm much more familiar with our current live bugs and our internal lingo than the vast majority of players. I've even directed gm's to note that their incident report should be sent to a specific developer for bug fix. Most get it, just like in everything else though some don't and I make sure to mention that in my feedback survey.

Another good person to talk to would be the user Leandro, as I believe he has some experience with playing from Argentina.

Different people find different things fun. Even the same people find different things fun.

Sometimes I want to IO a character out and squeeze out every last spec of performance from them. Sometimes I want to play them to 50 without any IO's and just enjoy them the way they are. Sometimes I just want to laugh at their costume and name, and could care less about what level they are or even what abilities they have.

I get a lot of flack because I love fly, and some people don't like that power very much. Honestly it doesn't bother me.

On a message forum, even if you are very specific in what you request you will get a number of answers that aren't relevant to you. Try not to take offense to them.

I am a member of both channels on Mod08. I have no issue with how either channel is moderated. Pick which one you like (or both if that is your pleasure). Just don't use personal insults here.

This thread is non productive, and as such is locked. However, for those of you concerned with issues such as these (including the original poster) I heartily recommend you pm me privately so we can have a discussion about some of the points you raise.

Redside someone has been playing this game for about a month now fairly consistently. I assume they are making good profit off buy it nao'ers like me. Demonic blood samples were the first that I noticed (let's just say it made getting field crafter a bit more expensive). Lately I haven't seen it as much but I've settled more deeply into my comfortable niches so I might be missing where they are moving.

No I occasionally read the boards on the weekend to avoid getting any hope... it's the long fall that gets you.

That being said, I actually enjoy the forums and some of the more colorful personalities. It doesn't stop me from doing my job, since rules are rules and need to be followed, but I do occasionally smile as I have to delete someone's post.

I'd just like to let it be known that it would be very easy to construe any post that is a reply with just lolrp as trolling similarly to replying to a post with just the phrase /jranger.

Lets cut this behavior out, if that is the summary of your feelings about role play you don't have anything constructive to offer the thread (see Rule #5)

Just to confirm, Dr. Aeon did play through all the arcs, and did not leave individual feedback on each arc (or a rating necessarily).We want to have more of these types of challenges, increasing the amount of work for each challenge is counter productive to that strategy.

I sympathize with those who have doubts and frustrations, but making sure all entries are judged fairly is very important to us and we wouldn't skip arcs that have been entered.

My advice to all those trying to evade the naming policy and "get away with something" is don't.

The gm's deal with this every day. You may have come up with something new, but after 7 years it or something similar has probably already been attempted. Just follow the rules.

Forum PvP doesn't give drops. Just so all of you who participated in this thread are aware.

We definitely considered the effects on the PvP community when we talked about doing this. Enjoy and use it to the fullest.

So I thought about going through this thread, deleting everything that was a violation of rules #2 and #5 (Trolling and Personal Attacks, and Non-Constructive Posting respectively), but decided instead to just lock it (mostly because I don't want to be forced to give anyone a time out today).

Sucks that the event didn't go off, hopefully people can take lessons from how this turned out.

Let's not all do this again, it wasn't much fun this time no matter what Ashcraft says.

Welcome back to the game. Not much further to be gained here, since this is still a hot button topic for people on both sides, but power-leveling is not inherently an exploit.

I'd personally like to see more functionality added to bases. That being said, there is a fair amount of functionality already there.
