    But really..this wouldnt be a bad costume pack. Not that I buy costume packs..

    Energy Torrent is just a chance at kb isnt it? Oh wait..the blast set version is.

    I love my claws scrapper..and I still dont think I will slot the proc. In spite of having had Shockwave since I hit 32. Not for lack of slots but..I LIKE the kb. Watching it scythe through mobs and knock them away..it is such a great GTO power. Claws has so much aoe anyway, just with spin.

  4. A friend has it in Healing Aura on her emp..its pretty awesome. ANd yeah..the end would help. With incandescent, the +hp is nice.
  5. I do see your point about ATs blurring into one another in some cases. I think the biggest example of this, (to me) would be how the stalker changes made my stalkers better at scrapping than my Scrappers.

    Your ideas for Blaster powers are thematic and sound helpful...but adding MORE powers, along with incarnates, might be just to much. I am also totally not supporting blasters getting mez prot in any way.

    It is an interesting idea though..waiting on your ideas for other ATs.

    Just some of the top of my head

    Controllers...Shutdown. A click giving a higher chance for overpower, extra containment damage.

    Tanker...Imposing. Increase mag of all your taunts as well as a small -to hit. Click.

    Scrapper...Duel. CLick that increases damage, lowers to hit on single target.

    MMs...Nothing, just fix pet AI.

    Corrs...No Mercy. Increase scourge change and the extra damage.

    Fenders...Desperate Measures. Increases the debuff and buff values of all support powers for a short time.

    SoA...Um..not sure here. How about..Arachnophobia..a click that summons masses of minion class spiderlings.

    Khleds...Void Shielding. A brief click that provides immunity to void hunter weapons.

    Stalker...Again..not sure, the new changes did make them awesome. Maybe something to give them a bit more aoe? Perhaps making AS a pbaoe, with reduced damage.

    Doms...Power from Pain. Working on doms sadistic (well..according to teh AT info..) nature..attacking provides stacking +def/res for a short time.

    Blasters..I like your ideas.
  6. It is a fun power, and does some good damage. A friend has hers slotted with the Chance to Hold proc and it seems to go off a lot. Storm is an excellent set with MMs, but as others here have said..Time will combine better with beasts.
    And why delete the toon just on a whim? Make a NEW mm as beasts/storm?
  7. I have also noticed that when the Kill phase ends, and the green text pops up..your score for kills will suddenly jump up X amount. Seems to be counting any still OUT and damaged at the despawn time, as 'killed.' In the same way Illusionist pets do. Cant really confirm if it is so..but just keep hitting different foes, as you get to the end of the phase.

    You say you didn’t read the rest of the thread (hey, I am guilty of that too) and then go ahead and say, with your FIRST comment on the idea..that you don’t agree. Without reading..ALL the other points of view, which had a very heavy bias today CHANGING the set, even if it was to a small degree. And how can you be ‘too late for that’? As if your OWN opinion would somehow make all the people who would like a change shake their head and thinking..by Jove! He is right! WHAT are we thinking,..?

    Next point..how can you say she is asking for a post 32 nerf when the ideas were to make the other toggles BETTER...which improves post 32 play? Also..how many people LIKE stone? Go on..tell me. It is easily the least used set (in my experience) ESPECIALLY considering how nigh unkillable it is. And yeah..forget the compensation of making the set actually FUN to play. Who plays for fun?

    Three toggles. And it is EASILY capable of being run with one..Granite. Again..if you actually read some of the other posts, instead of getting on your high horse about ‘nerfing’ you would have seen this was one of my problems. Any melee set capable of working with one toggle is broken. Back to post 32 game play...hmmm..so that means, you only run Rooted and Mudpots PRE 32 huh? Cause you sure wont have Granite for your third toggle. Have fun tanking with just a bit of regen.

    Onto balance and concept. Concept, yes, I will give you..to a point. To bring up the Thing, he is about as stony a hero as we can get. Is he slow? Can he step over a curb? Can he jump? Is he somehow ‘weaker’ (-dam) than he would normally be? A big no to all those. By-by concept. And balance..huh! Even worse! All the other tier 9s (older ones) come with a crash. And a limited duration. Granite..uhuh..Oh guess it isn’t balanced compared to them hmm? How about the new tier 9s? Oh wait, fixed rech, much weaker stats. Granite is NOT balanced to them.

    As others have said (again, which you WOULD have seen if you read more) the entire set is a relic, that does not fit in with many, or any, other sets. So what you are really moaning about with your ‘don’t nerf it, its balanced’ cry is that the set IS balanced..compared to ITSELF. Cause it sure isn’t compared to other sets, therefore any change would not be the same as the current, hence..imbalance! Great argument. Obviously balance changes can only make things better.


    Stone..similar to regen? Hmmm maybe in the same way your reasoning is similar to SENSE, until you actually think at all about it. One whole regen power in stone..yeah, totally makes it similar.

    Design Intent? Again READ the damn thread. It is a relic. If the intent was to make a set that is unkillable that NO ONE (ok, not many) people want to play, or even enjoy, then booyah, mission complete. Unless you know..we look at all the new coming sets, which the dev team is clearly TRYING to make fun. Oh darn it..I guess we proved the set is a relic again!

    Wow, you can tank 5 AVs? On a STONE tank? Oh yeah, it MUST be a totally balanced and perfect set. Gotta be.

    Extra 4 toggles? Did you read the bit about how we were saying the toggles (normal) ones could be improved to work WITH granite? SO you would not be unable to attack due to the end cost? No, of course you didn’t. Much better just to make assumptions.
    I see you are back to your pre 32 talk. Lemme know how good tanking is getting all the aggro with only Rooted as mitigation.

    A nerf now? Just a bit ago, you said it was all a balance issue. Now it is a nerf? No..just balance. Talking of speed..I doubt you would be very fast with layers of ice covering your body either..ice tanks can use SS. I doubt you would be stealth when on fire..but fire armour can pick stealth no worries. You are going back to concept reasons again..stupid ones.

    Gutting the uniqueness?’ Wow, I hope you are in advertsing. You could sell ice to Eskimos with that! Oh, you know..sell a set that is rendered unfun but ‘balance’ issues inherent in the powers, in spite of being awesome.

    Still not sure how ONE power, soul drain, is similar to a set that’s so far out of whack with anything else..Granite is ONLY a critical part of the set cause the rest is crappy and offers nothing great..then Granite comes in and renders all that useless ANYWAY. Soul drain does not suddenly make the rest of DM crap..it works WITH it all to be good. Or..Let’s go with your comparison...go play DM and ONLY use soul drain, in the same way Stone only uses granite. Let me know how much fun you have waiting 40 seconds between attacking?

    In short..try READING the other posts.
  9. A better way, and one the would not require going afk in a zone..is one I suggested to a friend around V day. It requires having a V Day tip still..which may be hard. Then you set the mission for 8, go into one of the missions, stand in the middle of the huuge mob of allies and auto cast rebirth, getting about..15k? heal points every 2 mins.
  10. Too late..um..why? We are 4 days in, since it started early. How hard could it be to add more weight to proc drops on a perfect attempt?

    And yeah..truly awesome idea about picking merits every time..when the whole POINT of my suggesting was..you know..to get the proc? Picking merits will really cut down on the amount of procs you get..
  11. As much as I am really enjoying the event...after getting all teh badges on almost all my toons..there is not quite as much incentive to run it. Other people have also spoken about the limited team size as a factor in how much they do it.

    Now I know some people will be going for full sets of the IO, but others..just want the proc. So far, I am getting about 1 in 6-8 runs..not too bad. But when it is ALL I'm after...so my idea is..

    In the same manner as iTrials, make a 'Perfect' Event run have a higher chance to get the proc. Or even allow you to pick the specific bit.

  14. Fissure is pretty nice. The kb, the stun, which also is helped by DOmination. Also, unless your taking say..the Fire epic, you wont have much aoe. Consider..its fissue or tremor. And tremor is just awful.
  15. No, the requirement was not there the whole time. I remember doing it back with lvl 54 Heroes, and we would do 2-4 per night, and NEVER had to worry about being able to start.

    No different to forming an RSF and overbooking, with a friend having to sit out. Does not mean suddenly that tf is not fun. When you feel like a big team..do something that needs it. Feel like soloing..you go solo. Feel like doing ONE event, in all our content, that has a limit of 4 people..do it with 3 others. Simple.
  17. Maybe it is silly, but it does not stop me being 100% correct. Redsiders had years of doing the arc for powers. If it balances things to no longer require anyone to do arcs, then it would be just as balanced if bluesiders had to do missions as well. Or if they HAD to finish Maria to unlock the stf/mltf.

    Just about EVERY single rsf I have done, since that stupid requirement came along, has had some form of discussion and panic about if we have someone who can start it. SO yeah..I do feel strongly about that
    one.

    To clarify..I love the patron arcs. The idea of doing the tasks to get the powers is great, and makes sense. Not everyone wants to be FORCED too though.
  18. You mean..a fix that gives Heroes access to patrons for NO work at all, while vills still have to do the arc? (assuming here..you didnt say anything else) Yeah that is SO fair. Given that it has been..a long time coming, as you say, lets fix it to the other direction..heroes HAVE to do an arc to get either patron or ancillary powers..redside gets em for free. There..fixed..after all..heroes got their powers 'free' for how long?

  20. Oh it is, much faster. Not to mention the Avs are part of an accolade, with only the first part of 3 in the patron arcs gives anything (besides the rsf unlock).

    How about making the heroes finish Crimson's arc then?

    Sorry that was a little harsh. I just stubbed my toe on a chair and was not feeling very nice. I do understand you want to play with all your friends..had the same issue yesterday when a friend logged on and I invited him to a 3/4 event..only to have his wife (also a friend) log on a minute later..and be unable to take them both along.

  23. Yeah cause with 8..it wouldnt be easy or anything. And having to add 4 more roles..unless you double up on them. Adding further to the chance some will get mucked up.
    How about..since they are, you know, friends..you simply work out who is going for each run? Odds are, at least a few could/would/may have something else to do.
  24. Guy makes some good (to me at least) points. Just about all of my 40odd toons are red, or rogue. With only a few Full Heroes.

    Another + I'd give blue..is the ease of getting Geas (aka Fon) compared to at LEAST 10 mayhems. Yes..I know you have to do 8 mayhems for invader anyway but not everyone enjoys them. Not to mention..arsons are not always in them, and do NOT apply to the entire team, making them much much easier to get solo.

    Back to the patron powers though..I would actually go the other way..and GIVE blueside missions and arcs, before they can access the Ancillary Pool. The patron arcs are some of the coolest in game, and they are quite old. If Blue missions were added in a similar style, and kept up with the high standard of the newer content..

    On the flip side..WHY oh why are villains forced to FINISH the entire patron arc (its huge) before we can start an RSF? Yet Bluesiders were not even forced to do the logical mirror arc, in Maria, and save States before you could do his TF.
  25. To me..and to quite a few friends I have mentioned it to..the entire look of the set just ruins it. Ok..it IS beasts, but still..they just don't fit into the CoX Universe at ALL to me. Doesn't help that we have nothing at all like it in game (aside from the lil ravages and SH's pets) so it looks even move odd.
    I also really dislike the Dire Wolf..it almost made me delete my dark dom, and I love the set.
