    It does..sorta. The last glowie in multiple objective/glowie maps does SHOW on the map..but you still need the right floor..and to have the glowie Obj last..
    But yes..having it work all the time, especially in cot maps, would be nice

    I have heard ninjas can be a bit fragile, but good damage. Obviously depends what your secondary is too. FF..I would NEVER do on an mm, ever. Not that it is 'bad' but I'd be bored out of my skull. Sonic..not sure of either, resist seems to work less well than def for pets (for me) and no healing at all..

    Bots/Thugs/Demons and Time/dark/traps. Basically any combo of those is gonna kick some butt and be fun.

    More builds?? Pushing your luck now! If you want to solo, Id recommend making a brute instead of a tanker. More fun in my opinion. Did you have any preferences as to which sets you want/like for the melee toons? (aside from teh ones you cant use) And please..do not tell me you want a hover-melee! I cant take it!

    Oh and..did the blaster and MM builds work for you, mostly? I give no promises..not using SOs myself
  4. With you there Rejolt. I get the same thing sometimes using drop powers like tarpatch, with the cursor sort of sticking, and not being where I want it.

    Doms are great fun. Some people love their trollers..some their doms. I am in Team Domi.

    The main difference is that a dom (when perma or just IN dom) can lock down a spawn faster, longer (I think) and easier than a troller with teh same powerset. Assuming enough rech and lucky overpowering, the troller COULD get the same control..but it would take much longer. Such as stacking two flashfires..by which time the mob is most likely dead anyway.

    I dont think there are many bad dom combos. Maybe some are a bit..less..suited together. Things like mind/energy, mind fire, plant/anything (with broken SoC). Oh besides Grav..I heard that was still not great on doms. Sets like mind, dark, earth and plant have excellent aoe controls as well as ST. Any dom can easily lock dom bosses, but its the other stuff that can kill you, since you have no supporting powers like a troller.

    Can't comment on Ice for doms, but some seem to love it. Others view it as rather lacking and a bit of a mish mash set. Earth is great though. earth/fire, earth earth.

    The self damage was listed on the power info screen, in Jay's video. The power sounds really interesting, but not sure what the 'can use it three times in 10 seconds after activation' means..
    I do like they are trying new things still..especially with the aim/bu-y powers. Hopefully they will turn out good.


    Oh..just noticed teh comment about teh self damage going. Glad to hear it..how they thought that was a good idea for a blaster..
  9. Yay Poisoned Feet! Is that like when you have bad sweaty feet? Watching Jay's youtube of teh set now..it does seem more interesting! But..the mez click..just seems WAY out of line. Every set getting an absorb/heal/rec power..Ok..I dont see it, but I can understand it. But just ONE set with a anti mez? Baaad idea.

    Ok..changing my mind again. The Burst of Speed aoe sounds great..till I see the self damage. Self damage, on a squishy? So you get punishes for entering melee, awesome. Guess its lucky the set has that heal and mez and slow..
  10. Mmmm assuming/hoping they get tweaked some.

    Throw Sand? really?? Become a hero they said..see the world they said..oh and throw dirt in peoples faces. Great. Also thats only..4? actual attacks, an assuming chi push isnt huge damage? I still dont like this business with all blaster secondaries getting an absorb..and a heal also in this case, as well as a tp!

    The dom secondary..sadly does not really interest me at all. I tried shurikens on a scrapper and the look just was not working. Also, envenomed blades..cool idea..but HOW do blades add damage..to kicks? The old shoe blade trick?
  11. It's pretty good on stalkers. The trouble is, KM and the 100% crit rate pbaoe stole its thunder a bit. Throw spines is still great though. The coming buffs to barb swipe and lunge can only improve the set (I hope). Ripper can be/feel a tad slow, likewise with Impale.

    I dont think I would recommend any of those sets, for a stalker. They are all (mostly) resistance based, and defence is much better for a stalker I think. That said..with the AS changes, you dont HAVE to rely as much on the old placate + not getting hit + go through the AS animation. So I guess they could be more worthwhile now. I'd most likely say WP,

    Not being rude but...why can't your friend play what they want? Unless of course..they specifically ASKED what will go better with your brute..in which case..fair enough.

    Also, are you guys playing red or blue side? Blueside, you can get to 50 easily and basically see NO psi damage (outside of some arachnos scanners, psi clocks) and having someone make a ton to fix the hole...is a bit unneeded.

    Of course, in incarnate trials, there is a lot of psi thrown about. But even then..you would have IOs maybe giving some coverage and a WHOLE league! (unless you run of to ty solo stuff..) Again..whole league..and if you arent playing with teh friend every single time..does it really matter what they make?

    2 Personal attacks..not sure if you wanted them. Fly again. Powers slotted for end red and defence. Will be very easy and solid to solo.
  15. yay it worked.
    There is the blaster..ice em.
    Not huge on aoe, but if your soloing..that wont matter much. Aid self nice and early..it helps a lot, even more so with Power Boost lifting teh heal. Freeze Ray is great to solo, and stack hold bosses fairly easy. You have the 3 fast (ish) single target blasters with slows, aoe slow and nukes, and repulsion bomb as an extra aoe + knockdown.

    Super speed as well as fly..I know, some people (especially new players) hate having more than one travel. But it REALLY helps. Conserver power and hasten, to help offset the SO restricted recharge and end costs of powers, Force of Nature as an extra semi godmode (and at the very least you can use it for the extra recovery) and PFF + afterburner to run away and use aid self.

    Oh and boost range..you cant beat that for a 'ranged' blaster.

  18. What secondary powers are you looking at for the builds Miss? Or if you arent sure how most of them would..would you want a more melee secondary, or ranged?
  19. I'd like to see something similar to the powers you get in the first alpha arc mission. The unresisted damage proc, and the phasing proc. Maybe it gives you a chance to be unaffected by each attack or something.

    As too looking forward to more slots...yes, the powers. But totally not looking forward to getting them. Even with the amount of trials we have now, with possible at least 4 more to come (one for each new slot) that is gonna be a huge amount of grinding. Look at how the Mag trial mostly gets farmed.

  20. This topic..just Vintage Doug. Vintage. Great idea though..how do those people who are soloing (cause they WANT to solo, or need to) actually pl, to get to 50? They can only solo as you point out..do they have to all roll fire brutes and run through AE, mostly unIOed and crappy?

  21. I made a StJ scrapper (StJ/EA) as soon as it came out. Some personal thoughts first...even IF the set did crap damage..I would still play it. It flat out looks amazing, and makes me go Wow! each time I play the toon. If you have seen all the animations, odds are you can agree, and that is reason enough to try the set.
    Onto your questions.

    1. I think, if the set has a failing (aside from being 'just' smashing damage) it is that the aoe is not amazing. Well..it looks amazing! But the traditional PBaoe becomes a target aoe, which a smaller radius, and it can be hard to work out what it will hit. That said, the cone, Sweeping Cross, is truly excellent, and seems much wider than other melee cones. Given that, Id say pairing it with a set containing a damage aura could help...but really, StJ is so good and all round awesome it will go with anything.
    It will work fine with SR. With dark, you can now turn the 'fade' effect off, so you can enjoy watching those sexy animations. SHield is also good, as the +dam will be great.

    2. I found all the attacks useful. Also, because it is such a new set, and pretty, I just wanted everything. I did respec out of the tier1 attack, on reaching 22 (time to slot IOs) but that was too give myself more slots for other powers, at that time, than because the attack sucks. It is really fast, and helps a lot to build combo lvls if one of the other attacks misses.

    3. Definately dont need hasten. Especially if you have the tier 1 in there as a chain filler. All the attacks, besides CI, have good base rech. Of course, you might want hasten to help whatever secondary you have too (dark, shield, fire etc). But if not hasten..slot 2 rech in CI as you lvl..or its very slow.

    4. End use is not too bad. Besides CI again, that uses a LOT. The other attacks are decent, again, just slot an end red in the aoes.
  22. Yeah FF and Cold buffs have them to both..ALLY buffs. If you look at say..shield def and energy aura..it is one or the other. Haveing both would be very strong, perhaps even OP in some cases.
    Like with EA..its all typed, meaning theres a bit more of a psi 'hole' than shield which can get coverage via positions.
  23. Just a quick thought...the main toggles you have listed as smash/lethal/melee def (for example). Not finding fault with your ideas, but all the current Def sets are either typed, or positional, not both. Unless it was your idea to HAVE both..in which case, fair enough.
  24. Exactly as Hopeling says..Vorpal is related to lethal, sharp things..NOT kicks.
    And it would make more sense, in line with a Smashing slam suggestion...to keep the Vorpal name and swap out the damage type.
  25. Hulk-like ground slam judgement please..smashing damage, and change Vorpal to all Lethal..as it SHOULD be.
    Some rocket-y ones would be fun too
