Let Me Pick My Detective/Broker!
They should at least have cell phones , maybe make it available after you finish your first Safeguard/Mayhem.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
There's no need to have two Brokers/Detectives in each zone anymore. There wasn't really in the first place, but they wanted to avoid crowding. But really, there should now be just one Detective in each zone, and it should be outside the police building.

I thought of another thing related to these guys so I'll just add it here.
About the only mission teaming I see going on (which doesn't happen a lot) is radio missions. How about they give rewards after the first time you do a bank mission? Something like a handful of merits or a recipe if you do the same bank more than once. Even another temp power would be ok.
I really like radio missions. EVERYONE does!
You are not going to get reward merits for completing radio/safeguard missions. If you wish to focus on the easiest content in the game so you can power level your way to 50 you'll just have to do without Reward Merits/etc. If you want the types of rewards that drop from TF's/Storyarcs/Raids/GM's then you are going to have actually do that content. The devs aren't going to unbalance the rewards for radio/safeguard missions
Recipes already drop from defeating NPC's on radio/safeguard missions. If you haven't gotten any it's because the RNG is random.
No, everyone does not like radio missions, because it gets mindnumbingly boring doing the same missions over and over and over. Many people also hate certain maps that constantly pop up on the radio missions.
There are plenty of teams forming for regular content, and there are plenty of reasons why someone can't find teams.
1. A player might be on a low pop server.
2. A player may be online during off peak hours.
3. A player might be playing faction that has a smaller player base.
4. A player may not be a member of the global channel community.
5. A player may be hanging out in zones that don't have a lot of regular content. Hanging out in AP means you'll mostly see AE farms and DfB's.
6. A player may be lazy, standing around waiting for other people to form teams.
7. A player may find himself 1-starred and /ignored because he rubbed too many people the wrong way.
Just to name a few.

edit: Let's just assume you dislike everything I say in these forums and you can stop commenting in them because everyone already knows.
Well, then maybe you should stop making blanket statements that you can't back up? Or posting opinion as fact?
I see a LOT of teaming going on, and almost none of it is Radio missions.

And EVERYONE likes radio missions was a tongue in cheek statement.
As for an actual reply, imo regular story arc missions aren't harder than radio missions they just take longer.
And as for them being mind numbingly boring, depending on what you like/don't like you could say that about anything in the game. iTrials are boring to me for instance. I've done them over and over.
And doing story arcs with people needs fixed imo. Only the one with the missions gets any reward at the end. At least it was like that last time I did it.
I would like to be able to choose or maybe switch detectives/brokers sometimes.

Uh... they do. Specifically, a (usually very useful) long-lasting temporary power, most of which cannot be obtained by any other method. And potentially a second one, if you get the weapons deal side mission. There's an exploration badge in every Mayhem and Safeguard, too.

How about they give rewards after the first time* you do a bank mission? Something like a handful of merits or a recipe if you do the same bank more than once. Even another temp power would be ok.
*Note: After the first means: second, third, fourth time etc.
And I've recently been doing tips again starting Monday. They are different than when I did them before, thank gods. But don't you think they made them easier? Some of them were already crazy easy like the moral mission where you just have to beat silent blade a couple malta and your clone. Takes like 5 minutes. Though I dunno what they changed with that one as I haven't done it.
And think about the SSAs. Once you get confirmed as a hero or villain (which gives you reward merits), you can speed through SSA1ep1 twice in a row to get two hero merits. That takes what? 15 minutes depending on your character? 5 radio/paper missions, "the easiest content in the game" and a bank mission take longer.
Here's what I actually wrote:

No the devs aren't going to give out reward merits for bank missions because of the fact that they are so easily farmed.
Recipes already drop during bank missions. Players have a chance of getting a recipe each and every time they defeat an NPC.

9 for each different zone map
18 for preventing the Arms Deals
So I'm sorry but I don't see the devs adding more temp powers as rewards.
We all understand that you like to farm and power level. Lots of people do. There is nothing wrong with enjoying that playstyle.
However,
The devs are not going to screw up the risk/reward ratio and ruin game balance just because you personally desire rewards that aren't commensurate with the challenge you are facing.
If you want reward merits without having to get them from doing the appropriate content then go buy some Super Packs.
Oh, yes please! I totally forgive your silly DFB thread now. I really hate getting the indoor cops. And getting Winston in the end of nerva just bites.

Yes. Mikey the Ear in Port Oakes is superior to Drea the Hook because the Ear is located relatively in the middle and closer to both subs for the bank missions.
Detective Frietag stands outside the Police Station in King's Row, while Becktrees you have to go inside to talk to. Frietag is cooler too. He's no nonsense like me.
Anyone have a preference to others?
