Hmm. I'm not sure about all the new images that we can put in the threads, including the signatures. They have their advantages, but they can be abused too. Well, we'll see how it goes. Otherwise, things look fine to me, although I might look into changing the default font if possible.

Even going back all the way to Issue 1, the most commonly and in fact one of the most heavily resisted damage types by NPCs was and still is, in fact, toxic damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
??
I don't think so...
Where did you get that idea? -
[ QUOTE ]
Has the game just become the City of Wallflowers?
[/ QUOTE ]
I hope so, because then I'll have a lot of company.
(Wait, does that make sense?) -
[ QUOTE ]
Boy, it's gonna be fun on the new forums with you, PK, and Golden Girl.
[/ QUOTE ]
ZOMG, that's right. Golden Girl will probably have access to the new forums, and Niv and 8 probably aren't familiar with her posting history.
*shudder* -

The hidden personal schema each of us is going with could make an interesting study. Most folks try to be balanced... but how they do that and where they are out of balance is interesting; plus contrasting the outliners who identify with a specific AT/roll... interestin'
[/ QUOTE ]
My hidden agenda is pretty straightforward. I solo, so I pick solo friendly powerset combinations. I can make a solo friendly scrapper with just about any powerset combination, so I have a lot of those. Not so much with corruptors, so I only have a couple of those.
My tankers and defenders only exist due to powersets I wanted to try that weren't available to other archetypes at the time. Although I enjoy playing my four current tankers, I haven't created any new ones since the first year of the game. Thanks to powerset proliferation, I don't expect to create any new defenders or tankers. -
Brute: Secondary, Regeneration
Mastermind: Secondary, Cold Domination -
My favorite is my Ice/Ice blaster. A great combination of ranged control and single target damage.
-
Scrappers 8
Blasters 5
Brutes 5
Stalkers 4
Dominators 4
Controllers 4
Tankers 4
Defenders 4
Masterminds 3 (plus a new experimental one)
Corruptors 2
Widows 1
Soldiers 1
Peacebringers 1
Warshades 1
I prefer playing blasters, but there aren't many blaster combinations that I like. I prefer to solo, so scrappers work well for me. -

Illusion controller: the phantoms, phantasm, and decoys are all going to become hot pink. So is the Spectral Terror. If the system goes that far I will make them all tiny and give them bunny ears.
[/ QUOTE ]
Funny you should say that. My Ill/Rad will be going pink too. She's always had glowing pink eyes. -
I'd say the PvP zones are the worst, because they have PvP. But besides that...
Hero: Abandoned Sewers Network. I don't go in there. I did the hunting mission in there a couple times back when I couldn't avoid it, but now that I can drop that mission I have no need or desire to step foot into the zone.
Villain: Grandville. I still think it's ugly and a pain to explore. I like all the other CoV zones. -

1. Tina Macintyre if you haven't already done her missions. She provides a crucial mission against Antimatter that is crucial for the Portal Jockey accolade.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tina has some great stuff. Lots of outdoor missions. However, a Psy/ blaster may want to bring some help against Tina's first mission. The Psychic Clockwork King can be a bit tough against such a character, and the mission can't be dropped because it's a badge mission. -
I'd like a feature that turns AVs and elite bosses into bosses when soloing on Heroic/Villainous.
-
Glitter's energy blasts will turn gold.

Lame.
I am a 63 month vet I have already memorized all the maps. removing fog of war does not in any way help me.
Lame.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm just the opposite. At this point of the game, I would very much like a feature that gets rid of all the blackness on maps I'm very familiar with. Even better if it works on new maps too. I'm looking forward to it.
The new slots will be very handy too. -
You're catching up fast, PK. At the rate you're bumping your post count, you'll soon reach the ranks of something or other someplace.

I think the Titans always had those powers, they just didn't work properly before.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. The AI needed some tweaks to get better use out of the powers.
Swarm Missiles: Ranged, Area of Effect, Lethal, Foe Knockback
Zeus Titans can launch a pack of 16 Incendiary Swarm Missiles
Gas Swarm Missiles: Ranged, Area of Effect, Lethal, oe Hold
Zeus Titans can launch a pack of 16 Gas Swarm Missiles
Sleep Gas: (Targeted Area of Effect) Foe Hold
Anyone that passes through this gas will take damage from the fumes.
Incendiary Swarm Missiles: Ranged, Area of Effect, Lethal, +Burn
Zeus Titans can launch a pack of 16 Incendiary Swarm Missiles
Burn: (Targeted Area of Effect, Damage over Time, Fire) Burn
Anyone that passes through these flames will be burned.
Plasma Blast: (Ranged) Foe -Regeneration
Titan plasma burns are hard to heal. The burns have halted your Regeneration rate.
Quad Plasma Blast: (Ranged, Energy) Foe -Regeneration
Titan plasma burns are hard to heal. The burns have halted your Regeneration rate.
Pummel: Melee, Cone, Heavy Smash
Titan Brawling attacks.
Jump Jets: Self Auto, +Jump, +Speed
Zeus Class Titans are equipped with Jump Jets.
Resistance: Auto, Self +Resistances (All). Resist: Sleep, Fear
Zeus Titans are resistant to all damage. Since they are machines, they are immune to Sleep and Fear powers.

The version number is now the same between live and test.
[/ QUOTE ]
Did you launch both updaters (Live and Test) and checked the version numbers from there?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. -
The version number is now the same between live and test.

[ QUOTE ]
And this one does? Perhaps my caffiene starved, just waking up, fought all night with the X- Ms Spectre brain didn't see it, but where are the patch notes?
[/ QUOTE ]
The patch is applying on my computer right now. Unless it's a hotfix for a bug or exploit, the patch notes would be the accumulated I15 patch notes in the test area. -
[ QUOTE ]
Correct me if I am wrong, but dont we always have Monday morning server maintainance?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but it doesn't normally come with a patch. -
[ QUOTE ]
Actually, Kadabra Kill cons as "Hero" whenever I fight him.
[/ QUOTE ]
Check his hit points a little more closely next time you fight him. I wouldn't be fighting him if he was a full-fledged Hero. I'd be dropping that mission every time. He was definitely a lieutenant (regardless of the title) each time I fought him. He'd be a boss at a higher difficulty setting. -
[ QUOTE ]
And you clearly never fought Spinnerette. She heals up as quickly as you damage her. Not soloable in the least. Kadabra Kill is even worse, because he does the same constant healing while planting binds on you while he and his godawful singularity can hit you with impunity. You can only carry so many break free inspirations before realizing you need backup when facing that terror.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm. I never thought Spinnerette was all that bad as far as elite bosses go. I've clobbered her a number of times. Granted I've also dropped that mission a number of times. I didn't find her healing to be all that bad, but then if I fight her it's either with a character that can do damage fast, or a dominator who can lock her down.
Kadabra Kill is annoying, to be sure. But he's not an elite boss. He's a boss, and he downgrades to lieutenant on Villainous. He's certainly given a few of my characters problems, and he's one of the nastiest lieutenants I've encountered, but he has a very limited supply of hit points.
And again, there is that handy drop mission feature if you can't handle it solo and don't feel like summoning a team. I use it fairly often myself. -
[ QUOTE ]
I laugh now whenever people claim all content is soloable on all archetypes. My Invuln/SuperStr TANKER could barely take on Frostfire alone, and my Dark/Dark Corrupter needed to team to kill Spinnerette who would heal herself way too frequently. Clearly, not all content in this game is soloable on all archetypes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those two particular missions can be dropped if you don't feel up to the fights. Dropping a mission counts as successfully completing it. Even if a mission isn't solo friendly, if it's droppable or failable then it's not a roadblock to solo progression.
(There are a few non-droppable, non-failable EB fights on each side that can be a problem for certain powerset combinations, but they're a tiny enough part of the game that they're not a concern for solo playability.) -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure City_Life is really comparable to UniqueDragon. I think "ubber dragon" would be a fine name though, complete with the spelling error. At least then I'd have some idea why the name was chosen.
[/ QUOTE ]
I will think of City_Life as Ubber Dragon from now on. He's not "unique", but he's very ubber.
