  4. OK, I see there is no way for me to get melee def directly with set bonuses, I can live with that. This is what I`ve come up with for my goal build. I know it is quite purple, but I don`t have anything else to spend inf on, I can wait while I build to it and I am ok with using generics and cheaper sets while I get there. Can anybody see obvious improvements?

  5. It may be just me, but I prefer not to have the same damage type in my primary as my secondary. It does work thematically, but I find the doms that I can stick with are mixed. My dark/dark got to 17 and sits waiting to be deleted when a new fancy strikes. My mind/psi got to about the same level... that one is retired to a server I`m never near. My dark/psi is 50 and relatively quickly for me.
  6. Ok, I absolutely suck at planned builds but my dark/psi/fire is an incarnate and it is time to fix the mistakes of the past. She`s a great character, lots of fun as she is, but she can be better and so I turn to the forum for assistance with this if you`d be so kind.

    Here is her current build.
    Things I`d like to do:
    1. perma-dom
    2. better global damage where possible. I`m OK with not building for defense as I have controls for that. If you think I should have def, I`d like melee if possible so that I can use the pbaoes more often.

    The blankslots in Subdue have 5 of the summer enh (no kb-kd enh on her yet)

    Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  11. Jolting chain to knock them down - you alpha them. Cast static field while they are standing back up and they are asleep before they can hit you back... walk in with the aura running and sap that blue bar.

    My elec elec dom is one of the safest characters I have ever played. He is a bit on the slow side still ... but you have to pay for safety with something I guess.

    I've recently hit 50 on my dom and have absolutely 0 experience with incarnate stuff. I ran the mender arc and unlocked my alpha slot but don't know which I should be building for...

    Which alpha should I be looking at first? I'd like to make the character a perma-dom... Does the recharge in Spiritual overtake the benefit of the damage in musculature (or hold duration in Nerve for that matter) in this case? Or should I be looking primarily at IO sets for the recharge to get permadom and use musculature or nerve for what I cannot get out of the IOs?

    Regarding the original point of the thread... what I've been doing is shouting out that I'm looking for a summer event team - if there is one I get picked up; if there isn't I jump in queue and shout out that I'm there. Others start jumping in queue pretty quick if they know someone else is in it.

    You'll be fine. This is one of the weird double-standards I cannot figure out. Any references to evil, Satan, demons, hell is "ok" but references to good, 'God, angels, heaven is not. I don't want to turn this into a religious discussion or anything of the sort, this is just my observation.
  19. Could I get some feed-back on this? - it looks "reasonably" cheap with a few A merits to get the expensive stuff. I'm over hp cap and over regen cap so there is room for tweaking for sure.

  20. Cool, thank you very much. That certainly gives me a starting point to look at for the build.
  21. So I've never bothered much with really high-end builds so far but I'm greatly enjoying my SR/TW character and think I'll want to tweak it out for trials etc when I get there. I have a long way to go yet with it only lvl 17 so far but sitting at 1 small purp from softcap on only DO enhancers.

    Obviously I don't need to build for much def with softcap being so easily reached with these powersets. So I need to build for +hp and +regen (I think?) where +res is so hard to come by. What IO sets should I be looking at for this?

  23. My staff/da is a ton of fun. He cranks out a sea of orange numbers and his blue-bar barely moves (toggles: Death Shroud, Dark Embrace, Murky Cloud - this gets turned on/off as needed, Obsidian shield, Cloak of darkness, Tough, Weave, Combat Jumping) Once I'm at perfection of the soul lvl 3 I just keep on fighting. I don't use my finisher (only have eye of the storm so far) until the mobs around me are all at a sliver and then end the fight with it.

    Dark regen with 1 end reducer only drops 1/3 of my blue bar when perfection of the soul is full.
