Sounds like another vote for the All First Ward format!

Quote:With the large team requirements for Trials, usually there are going to be some people you know on a PUG (in Victory, this seems to always be the case), but the rest will be gathered from Broadcast/Globals.For the record, what's the definition of a PUG used?
To me, PUG means picking up players in chat or via message (not, not that kind of picking up! That's what goes on in Pocket D) IE: any time you're not doing a group specifically with people you know beforehand it's a PUG.
On a server like Freedom, I assume it's possible to have a literal PUG where no one knows anyone else on a 18 or 24 person team, but as long as a critical mass of people know what they're doing, I don't imagine there would be difficulty with MoM now that the strategies are established. -
We PuG everything all the time on Victory. The League Leader knows what they're doing, and there are a bunch of people who have done it before, but probably 75% of the League is.
Perhaps, since we have a small population, everybody who runs trials pretty much knows everybody else and knows what they're doing. -

I checked out Vigor and the heal buff is nice, but it doesn't address many other areas except for the end red. I'm going to stick with Spiritual and see if I can shore up my recovery with set bonuses.
Bone, I think next week will be the last week for this run, but I'm not sure if we're going Blue or Red. I did hear something about an "All First Ward" format, though. -
Quote:I hear what you're saying. I definitely would like a plethora of jet packs to come out (one other game had a cool one that was basically a missile tied to your back), but since the theme of this pack is Retro Sci-Fi, I voted Rings.Long story short: if they put a jet pack costume piece out there that requires no other monetary investment except my subscription, I'll be happy to vote for the rings. Until that happens though, I would rather the first jet pack costume piece available be a bit more generic in design.
To be honest, they should give us all three of the Jetpacks, and definitely plan on a "Back Items Pack" that would include even more Jet/Rocket Packs. -
Have any of the other Beamers noticed endurance issues this run? Maybe it's because Time is always buffing my recharge, but last night on an ITF I was running out of end like crazy. I went with the Spiritual Alpha, so I'm swapping out recharges in my attacks for end red, but this isn't something I normally have to do...

Quote:Exactly, which is why more generic costume pieces should go in as regular updates, and more specific ones should be for pay, as then users can opt out if they don't want them. The more specifically a costume piece is designed, the more specific your target demographic is going to become.
Since this is a paid set (right?), then I say bring on the Jetson rings! -

Quote:I thought of that, but someone pointed out that he didn't specify what kind of purple it is... it could be a purple inspiration. Or a McDonalds Grimace souvenir mug. The possibilities are endless. If you think it's faked, you could take a screenshot of yourself as a coyote and make Shamster give you a purple.
For the record, I did not buy the Coyote power nor the Flying Carpet.
And I only bought the Hoverboard when it went on sale. -

I notice we didn't get to vote on different Retro Sci-Fi dress designs. Does this mean they have one they definitely want already, or that they scrapped that idea entirely?
-
A is nice, but it's C.

Wait... can't you use your Alpha on any level 50 content? I didn't think it was just lvl 50 TFs...

We should do Speedens to kick the night off. They only take 10 minutes, so no one is getting locked out, and hey, Notice of the Well!

Quote:Don't worry, this thread is already swimming in pedantry. This is a pedantic point but I bought $100 worth of points when freedom went live so this is how I read that statement.
I'm just glad a real Doomsayer joined the thread, so I can go back to being the reasonable one. -
Quote:That would be a best case scenario for me (even though Bases aren't really a priority of mine). I just question if they would do an issue in a post-Freedom world that didn't have a Trial or TF as a focus. That's not necessarily a bad thing.Actually, here's a question. If there was a decent chunk of an issue dedicated to going gung-ho on base improvements including new decorative items (including ceilings/walls/floors) and getting base PvP to work, but the trade off was that in the future they sold decorative items in the store (with some free on issue releases) ... would that really be so bad?

For some reason I thought the new Travel powers were 800 points, not 600, but that's still way too much.
To tie this all back into the OP, even if you think Freedom is an Unqualified Good, do you really think that they will devote more time and effort to a backburner issue like Bases or will they work on the stuff they know they can monetize, and throw in some QoL issues? -
