I'll say it again; we have too many currency systems in this game. While I understand almost all of it, it's really hard to explain to someone who doesn't.
That said, Technobot, I'd gladly give you my celestial set if I could. I like my heroes spandexy or street clothed. -
Nobody said you "shouldn't build for defense" I merely said that recharge, end and recovery are priorities and defense should be treated as an added bonus. And I've had plenty of controllers on speed TFs without softcapping or defense focused builds.

Illusion/Time controller (for sure)
At some point...
Something Something (still working on a concept)/Poison controller
Some kind of /MA tank
Dark/Dark blaster
Beamrifle/poison corruptor (?) -

Quote:Not 100% sure about that. I dont recall anything from book mythology that states anything like that. It makes sense though. If it is Emma, wouldn't she look more like a wolf cub? That was clearly an adult wolf there.
BUT what if she's actually a shifter, then she should be able to shift into any animal, and there I'd assume she can make it look however she wants, in which case she'd make it look just like Daddy (full grown). Shot in the dark, I realize. -
A mild prediction on the werewolf at Sam's. I think it might have been Emma. It's a bit of a stretch but it ties to her line in the episode when Arlene asked her what she was (for Halloween) she said "Either a shifter or a werewolf like my Daddy". Something tells me next season they'll cut to the wolf stopping growling and licking Sam and then reveal its her.

The goal of a controller should be +recharge, +end and +recovery. Defense, while nice is more of a cute trick/added bonus than a "need". Your ability to control is your 'defense'.

Quote:I think Tara may be gone for good. I'm surprised (but not that sad really) but her character was kind of played out and growing stale. She redeemed herself by saving Sookie and I think maybe she's gone......except when her spirit wants to talk to her cousin that is.It's daylight and no vamp access, so how can Sookie save Tara? A deal with some other entity?

Holy @#$& is right!
Wow! Just Wow! Maybe the single best episode of the series so far. Big build up for next season. Must have nao!
Spoilers........................................
Poor Jesus. He's was becoming a favorite of mine. But I'm not surprised. Tara......that was a shock.
Edit- I wonder if Scott Foley's character is going to be the show's version of Quinn? And once again Pam steals the show with her line about Sookie and her Fairy @#%^#@. -
Amy Pond, Time Ninja, with her sonic probe.
Great episode. -
Sad to hear. I was thinking about him the other day and how I missed the old CH/VC forums and he was a large part of it. I just assumed he'd moved on. I enjoyed his many posts and he was my source for all things 'geek news' and as little as that is in the scheme of things I thank him for making my life a little better, a little easier and a whole lot happier.
RIP LoT. You are missed. -
I've got thousands of merits as well. How? Simply because I never use them. I should; I know, but truth is I have plenty of money from the market and simply buy crafted IOs that way.

The point is to promote subscriptions through premium not to promote premium. Get the returning player to say 'hey' to some old friends and see all the cool stuff they are getting for the sub fee and enticing them to re-sub. If premium could get access to everything, what's the point of having a subscription service in the first place? Endgame is the perfect system to gate through VIP because people coming from other games will be more pro-endgame and want access. Seems like a pretty smart method to me. Something's you'll just have to pay for.

I went clarion on my ele/rad for toggle dropping protection purposes.

Psi judgement please.
A big pbaoe nuke/mushroom cloud.
Anything 'natural' as well. -
And now our plan to rule the world is complete!
-
The purpose is to draw new customers in with the hopes of them becoming VIPs or buying ala cart, give them all of that for free and where's the incentive?
-
The three examples you give are all great. I have an Earth/TA and it's hands down the most control I've ever experienced in the game. It's a beast.

Quote:No, what most people asking for FF revamps want is a support set that can do more than one thing. Raw defense is great... if your targets are below the soft cap, but there are many, many ways to boost defenses on a team, and most of them come from sets that can do way more than Force Fields, such as Cold Domination, which basically invalidates the entire existence of Force Fields. The only other mechanic of any use in FF is the small mez protection on Dispersion, and now everyone can provide better mez protection by going Clarion Destiny.
But you can't base what a primary/secondary powerset does on what Incarnate powers do. Do we get rid of all aoe heals because you can get Rebirth? The game doesn't start with Incarnates; that's why it's called endgame. -
Guardian
and
Guardian Team's (or maybe its Guardian's Team...shoot can't remember and I'm at work)
Seem to be two of the most active right now. Guardian may be full, though. -
It's not the most populated server but it is a fairly active one when it comes to scheduled activities. I've run All Controller TFs (and Trials) there for a few years, we even ran them weekly for over a year and always had great turn outs. But see where the concensus takes you, just suggesting.
