And don't forget, it could come back to bite you. "Hey, I got 15 shards this time!" could end up being limited ("Maximum of 3 shards in 24 hours") instead of the lower end being buffed.

Knew I forgot one, though it's not as bad now. Bots/FF nearly put me off Masterminds completely. Great, defense-wise, and I've managed to get him in the mid-high 30s (from "around COV launch" to now,) but exceptionally boring, to me.

Went to the MM forums, fished for suggestions, someone threw out Thugs/Poison, had a blast getting it to 50. And I've been enjoying bots/traps, too.

So use the gravity guysers. You don't HAVE to use the jetpacks.

Now, other than that, yes, it needs new missions. It needs some decent arcs. It has barely been touched (other than adding vendors, etc.) since release.

It does *not* need to be co-op. Giving villains their own version? Sure. Co-op... there'd have to be a REALLY good reason for it. Especially since - well, to be blunt, a lot of co-op writing flat out sucks, at least if you're a villain. (And even if you're a hero, some of it does - "I know the Isles don't really seem like a place worth saving" - excuse me?)

Now, there's a lot villains could do there - just look at going for or against Darrin Wade. It's a Midnighter zone, for sure - but what would be keeping my heroes from attacking villains (other than the general lack of interest in PVP?) or vice versa? It's the mind of an insane - and more than eager to invade and destroy our dimension - god. It wouldn't be interested in *stopping* the carnage, after all.

Epic = tied to a storyline, not "zomghitabuttonkillthezone." And they are. (As are the veats, even if the VEAT story absolutely sucks, like it was banged out in a night.)

Nebulous Form - no slotting really needed. Quick phase if needed.
Shields - yeah, might not USE them (I do with S/L and E/NE, but don't slot much,) but they're great places for KB IOs.

... just some suggestions to start with

Peacebringers can be the same with the shields, with things like Quantum Flight, conserve power, the rez and the like. There's actually quite a bit that works just fine on the default slot.

Plus, don't forget, those new inherent fitness powers are working in the forms now, too.
  9. Been doing this a while... have to agree. This gets to be tedious after a while. Speeding up the process would be nice.
  10. Unlocking, yes.

Going through everything that they'll release for it? Probably not.
  11. Remove, no.

Put a limit to how far they go? ("If you're in an AOE/debuff patch, run 30' away then stop," sure. Of course, for those debuffs that "stick," they'd have to see they're not actually in the patch any more.
  12. Not going to happen. Period. It's one of the things the devs have come out as dead set against.

And, frankly, I agree with them. Just like every other time this gets posted.

Well, I could see the so called "Pure Healer" with one attack, the Medicine pool, etc. being unable to complete it solo, perhaps.

    Other than that...

At level 28 when it opens, it gives 28.24 health (per enemy) unslotted. My slotting (3 rech 3 heal - one SO, two common IO) gives me 88.93 (from a base of 44.98) per enemy every 30 sec. or so. So, yeah, with a x1 spawn of 2-3 enemies, just short of 270 HP healed, and I have 1724 HP. Need bigger groups for that to be noticeable. Or just fire it off continuously. One of the two.
  15. This needed another thread. I'm so relieved to see one finally made!

And I'll counter that by pointing at the "Accurate" and "Recharge Intensive Pet" sets that were introduced not that long ago - where before you did have to sacrifice something for those if you wanted to use them in (say) Transfusion, Controller pets, Extracted Essence and the like.

Perhaps due to the way it's coded, Ramiel grants the player those powers, but they don't activate until triggered by the mission map?
I'll have to grab another of my 50s and look, but I don't believe I'd even spoken to him at that point.

He has, I'm assuming, played the RWZ content before.

He's thus been exposed to the Rogue Vanguard and some of the tricks they have, including the curse breaker. The Curse is used even on lower difficulties.

He's told in the briefing that there's a rogue Vanguard operative in there. And to bring friends.

It's not a stretch to think "Hey, I don't know exactly what TYPE of Rogue Vanguard is in there, but it's supposed to be a tough one. Maybe I should grab blues/that curse breaker/etc."

Now, someone that's at 50 without having played the RWZ stuff? They'd have an excuse. It would be a completely new power being used on them.

    2) Try to salvage slots from other parts of your build;
    • In the past, fly used to require more than the default slot to reach the flyspeed cap, if your build is old, you could get a slot from there.
    • have some powers three-slotted for recharge? Get the Spirit alpha-slot buff, and knock off slots from those powers.
    • Frankenslot to downsize slotting requirements - If you are relying on SOs or common IOs, consider that 5 dam/rech set IOs (from different sets) can be just as effective as 3 dam and 3 rech enhancements
    /this.

Slot stretching has been something Kheldians (at least tri-form) have had to learn for a while now, so it's closer to second nature for me. Definitely look for the things listed above - I've got some useful powers that are only single slotted, and I've had a chance to fix some overslotted powers as well.
  20. Pretty much "All stalkers." My Widow was like that, as well.
Almost anything with Kinetics or Rad. Emission, as there's so much flat-out "good stuff" to pick up in those.

Nope, it uses "Inherent Fitness" for that. (see above.) Same font and coloration.

(Edit: And Temporal Overthruster is too long. 21 characters. But Temporal Operative now exists. >.>)
  22. Illusion/Sonic controller. Fought with it to... think I hit 40 on it. Still there.

Now, I made it back when Sonic had the headache-inducing shields, first so I could find what was bugging ME, and second so I could *not* take them and use the space to add more control (via Presence.) Presence - or rather the fears in presence, which as a low-control Controller is what I was looking for - puts the Hoover factory to shame, as well.

Then Sonic's graphics got fixed, I got to try to play it normally. Buffing's fine. Illusion still stank on ice. I just cannot stand playing it. I want to play and build for control, not "try to get these pets back fast and hope whatever stupid thing they're about to do isn't going to get us killed."

I hate *starting* VEATs. The whole 23 wasted levels before you can play the character you want bit (or, if going for a Huntsman type build, 23 levels then being forced to respec right back into what you were.) Wasn't fond of my first Bane, either - needs better stealth, as opposed to "Just close enough to be seen and hit before an attack goes off, killing my chance for a crit," and less of a glass jaw when I do get hit, and the storyline itself is so bad the best thing to do is ignore it - seeing what they'd done for the "story" for an Epic nearly made me delete that Bane out of pent up irritation at 30-35.

Well, that's one I can shoot down, as that was showing up before I even started it. (I know it didn't sound like that when I typed it out at oh-I-need-sleep AM. )

Plus, it disappeared when I closed that. Later (pre-respec, still, I went to check on what enhancements I'd squirreled away) it was gone, but "Inherent Fitness" showed up in the same way (and about where the actual IF "pool" shows up.)
