Quote:Larker, I have the same issue on one of my computers--I have no idea why. I left-click on the scales and nothing happens.Actually LL that's what got me to notice that my ability to +/- rep anyone isn't working.I seen your avatar the 1st day you put it up and couldn't rep you.So lets just say you have another + signed me.
But try this: Right-click on the scales and select Open Link in New Tab. The rep window should open up in the new tab. At least that is how I get around the left-click not working on that particular computer. Hope that helps.
Edit: or perhaps Open Link in New Window-- I have not personally tried that, but that may work, too. -
[quote=Postagulous;2376607]I was just changing my sig and I noticed that I had negative rep that said, "No Dragon Tail, Fail."
[quote]
I had a negative comment that read in its entirety: "Meh"
Whew, the Thumbs Down Crowd at the Circus Maximus was certainly frisky that day!
Positive rep for you, because it is better to light the proverbial candle. -

Quick Obligatory Bow to the Humor Goodness of SteelClaw.
With that done: 3 Stooges Powerset
Features Eye Poke, Face Slap, "See This Hand?" Thunderstrike and the deadly Rain of Pies. In addition, you can set appropriate sound effects to any and all actions of yourself and NPCs. Terrorized foes say "Nyaaaa-aaaa-aaaaaah!" while their hair stands on end, fleeing foes say "Woob Woob Woob Woob!" as they flee, etc.
Also with this powerset is the ability for male characters to wear poorly fitting dresses that in no way makes them look female, but for 2 minutes, every male NPC in the game will treat them as the hottest-looking female they have ever seen in their lives, with little popping hearts fluttering around their heads, and will not attack no matter the provocation. At the end of two minutes, the dress will vanish every NPC within sight will aggro on the player and attack.
The player will also receive the Undefeatable Stooge Ninja Infiltration Technique: The player will receive a cheap-looking Santa Claus outfit, and every NPC in the game will not only treat the player as friendly and open any locked door for them, if told "I have a present for you," they will happily look into Santa's Bag for 30 seconds. Santa's Bag comes equipped with a large mallet or skillet, and delivers a one-shot defeat to any NPC peering into the bag.
I would dearly love to run the last mission of the Statesman Task Force using this powerset, let me tell you. -

What "Branch 20" is, I have no idea. -
Quote:No matter how carefully I line up my attack, 95% of the time I get a resounding "MISS!" above the other critter(s) in the cone.Odd, I still use Sands of Mu quite a lot on my lvl 50 ma/sr scrapper. It gives me some extra aoe potential, catching two or three critters in it's cone.
It is almost Urban Legend material. On the rare times I catch multiples, however, it is sweet indeed.

Quote:My pitiful Search Fu efforts could not yield the thread that talked about Marcus Cole being blond. It was then said that he used shoe polish in his initial Statesman costume to help conceal his identity. These were pictures taken by Fuzon were posted in the Hero Con section, so I thought posting thm here would help bring them to more players
Or I could have taken one too many boulders from Warwolves, but I thought Marcus Cole was supposed to be blond.
Not that an Eeeeeeeeevil Marcus Cole could not dye his hair to match his heart (evil laugh.)
Anyone else remember anything to that effect? It is no biggie, but that is what I thought. -
Maybe they all have bionic legs like Steve Austin?
Maybe they are all lifeguards in BayWatch?
Maybe it is an Inigo Montoya sort of thing, ie, "If I do it in regular speed, over too quickly."
Most of my guys usually slap Snow Storm or something similar on 'em anyway, so I probably never noticed before. -
And be advised that other Croatoa contacts will also give you hunts that must be done ONLY in the neighborhood of Croatoa involved.
The Misty Woods is a gerrymandered place to be sure, and getting the folks Miss Nemmers wants can be tricky. The ones you need ALWAYS seem to be just over the border, and if you off them in place, it does not count. So just whack them with a minor attack and flee back over the border. Let them come to you before you finish them. But don't flee too quickly or they won't follow. Dern finicky bad guys! -

Rain of Fire is a hold, right?

Quote:*applause*Yes I've seen this conversation actually happen in the Abyss during a Hamidon Raid at the end of the final bloom.
Brute: This one time I had Hamidon cornered in a rock quarry.
Random Person: What happened?
Brute: *uses temp rock power and throws the rock at Hamidon* I THREW A ROCK AT HIM!
Random Person: Dude did you really just use the halloween temp rock on Hamidon?
Brute: It was a big rock... -
Quote:I bet that Phanty was the one that traumatized the objecting Tank way back when, and now to him, ALL Illusion summons get labelled as out-of-control-knockback risks, even though the PA does not cause knockback. The level 32 pet, Phantasm, is the only knockback in the Illusion Control set. And with some understanding of how Phantasm works, you can stay back away from the tank to limit the knockback, or even use it to knock foes back towards the tank.
I cannot see anyone not being cheered by the appearance of Phantom Army. They have saved the day and the bacon many times---whether they were my own or a teammate's. And with the new color schemes possible, it is pretty neat to see different teams of them go into action.
I had only one reservation about the Phantom Army when I first saw them. They kept ripping up chunks out of the floor and throwing them--- I thought for sure we were going to lose our security deposit. -
Judging from the thread title, I thought this was going to be a discussion about what to do when you get a Rock when trick-or-treating. Oh Well.
I will check the Wiki. -
Quote:Well, yeah, the first choice for the shoulders is a tad much... and your model managed to boost the ShoulderHelmets to be even MORE humongous than they normally are... and they are huge to begin with. Those wings look deadly. Man, if you raise both arms in your get-up, you could put both of your eyes out at the same time!As a bonus, you also get the goofiest costume pieces ever made with that pack! Don't believe me? Check out my man CryoPhreak as he models the Valkyrie armor for you!
The l4d13z! They're hot for the CryoPhreak right now!
(Also: Yes! That is a legitimate(?) use of the Greek letter vet chest deco you're seeing there!)
I opted for a lower shoulder profile and the less ritzy armor pieces, and in THAT configuration, I really like that armor set. But certainly evildoers are terrified by your get-up, right? -
Quote:As a side note, "see who can keep the buff pet alive" is a fun little minigame. And buffed, we've had them over the HP of some of the people on the team rather easily.
I was quite bemused to look over and see my buff drone floating with what looked to be 7-8 inches of ice hanging from it. It was a HUGE layer of ice. I wondered how it could possibly still float, but then I remembered it was just a show and I relaxed. -

Quote:Which qualifies you for "LRN2PLAY, NOOB" answers from some quarters.
I will try to search it out in the forums and the Wiki, but sometimes it is too new or too obscure (see "LRN2SEARCH, NOOB") for me to find it. I appreciated "Wiki is your friend" with a link as opposed to just "Welcome to last week," when I asked if something had changed in-game. Even the vets can't find things some times; Mercy is always appreciated.
The folks that ask some clarifying questions are typically trying to help the folks asking very broad questions. A link to appropriate guides may be in order if the Newbie is too green to even know what they are looking for. I understand that. I started out with a Blaster and have taken a few to 50, but I enjoy Controllers even more as it turned out. The answer the Newbie is looking for may arrive via a process.
As long as no one gets Snarky, I presume good faith on both ends of the question process. The vast majority of the folks on the forums are helpful and kind, which makes this a great place.Quote:why did you neg rep me for spelling? man you really are an idiota
PS english is not my native language so neg reping someone for using *threw* in the wrong pre texts really shows your limited intelligencemeant that I was joking with Forbin.
I have not given you any negative rep in this thread, before OR after this. I am not sure how a post that lauds the generally helpful nature of forum posts indicates that I did not like your spelling, but it does not. Steady on, there, man. -
Same here, though I never opted out, etc. I USED to get the newsletters, but no longer. 'Tis a puzzlement.

Quote:I don't play villains, but I will seriously consider a "redeemed" Brute just to cream some Malta solo while laughing off their sapping as you note.Or for better results send your trusty Energy Aura brute or Stalker to cream them. My NRG brute loves malta more then nothing else. There is a certain satisfaction to sneaking into a group then creaming the sapper with Rage + Knockout Blow, the flattening the first with footstomp. Even if they manage to end drain you, well revenge with Energy Drain fixes that.
-
Quote:I occasionally see 2 sappers in a group, though it might just be 2 little groups near each other. But sappers really arent a big deal if you're paying attention. Just kill it first and move on.Quote:Have your Stormer hit you with 02 Boost to prevent the big energy drain and then they really won't be a big deal. There always seems to be one of those little swine popping out of nowhere, but if the sapping does not drain you, then it is much easier to clobber him.
The other night I was playing a Stormer in a group of 8, and they did not want to wait for a quick 02 Boost before running to the next mob of Malta. Please understand that I am not saying that they all had to gather and line up, blah blah blah, just wait until I hit you before you personally run into the next group. Very important for whoever was going to get the initial aggro, and I always started with them... if they had not already run off. I still would hit all of the team in succession as best I could, but some of them still got drained because they would run out of range, etc.
Oh Well. I ain't their Mama. It is their choice not to wait and take their chances, and I am fine with that. But running through mobs like a hot knife through butter sure works better when your End is not all drained away.
