Awwwee someones obviously having resentment cause they cant have one. Poo poo.
  2. I am thinking of building up one of my blasters for PvP. Usually have done my tanks and scrappers in the past. How much of an issue is mez powers against them ? I remember the mez times were lowered but will you find yourself locked down most of the time ? Is there there good mez protection for a blaster ? Their PvP resist base looks stupidly good.

The one I was considering was my ole fire fire. I do have some others. Opinions ?

Almost forgot - the toys in the devices group sound really cool. Is devices worthwhile in PvP ?

    Thanks.
  3. What are the GR changes that will make Fort's and Bane's more effective ? I havent heard talk of this yet.

    Thanky.

"abuse it and drive prices out of control".
They are 100% right. It's simply the truth. Rant on about economic mechanics all you want, and use it as an excuse to justify what you do. The simple truth is - if so many people didn't purposely flip with the intent to drive up prices for their own profit - the prices would be COMPLETELY different in our little market. And yes that means far far lower. Period.

Before you rant on about supply and demand think of this - when the market first came out - and there was zero supply of anything - you would assume that would be the peak of pricing no ? But it wasnt. Those prices were but a fraction of what we see today for comparable items (yes some new things exist but the top tier items were equally rare at that point in time). Marketeers have steadily driven up pricing on anything they could flip.

People want and need to buy these things in our little closed market. The flippers are simply the ones setting the price. They prey on the want and need and exploit it for their profit.

Without marketeers I guarantee you pricing would never have ever gotten near this point.

Its just the truth. So many of you come here and brag about how you drove up the price on item "x" all the time. Revel in the mad profits you make by exploiting the system. You blatantly admit to it pretty much daily.

Those you call lazy arent actually lazy. They are just observant. And calling you out seems to make marketeers freak and go into massive self defense mode. Trying to defend what they do and say "its not us really...". When in fact it is, and has been all along.

    LOL ... seriously WTF ?!
  5. My last one went for 4 Billion. If someone wants one I'll strip my current build if someone offers it.
  6. Ah TY again then. That clears up it nicely.
  7. Okay I thought I had a pretty good grasp of how DR works based on the guides. But I came across an oddity when looking at resistance:

    Example : Scrapper - Dark Embrace - Base S/L is 22.5%

    3 Resist SO's - After ED - 56% bonus
After DR based on the chart using (.6/1.0) becomes 44% bonus
Add in global set bonuses of 8% (44%+8%) becomes 52%
DR the new total of 52% and end up with a final total of 42% bonus

If I did this right then am I seeing that I'm better off not having any global bonus at all and getting 44%, as it appears after I add in my 8% from set bonuses it drops down to 42% total bonus ?

Or do I need to DR that 44% bonus from just enhancements again (reading it as 44% + 0% therefore DR 44%) to drop it down to 37%.

Im guessing that its the latter, but I didnt know for sure if doing another total occurred if there was no additional bonuses to add.

Gotta love this DR stuff ... not
  8. It would seem that they should remove the DR system from PvP. If the system is actually having the opposite effect of the stated goal, then thats just broken. Why keep it integrated if thats the case.
  9. Great TY very much for the info.

One question to top it off then. In considering slotting of powers it appears that its generally wasted to slot them for more than ~70% of any value (barring the AT specific values) ? So if I were to look at Build Up for example on a scrapper. The PvE rule of putting in no more than 3 SO's or IO's, would actually be brought down to putting in no more than two (lvl 50) recharge IO's to max out the PvP recharge ?

So when slotting powers that I dont plan to use sets on - going over ~70% in most categories isnt worth it ?
  10. An observation I made in regards to the recharge :

PvE global recharge displays as 111.25% + Hasten its 181.25%.

    Enter a zone : it still displays as 111.25% + Hasten 181.25%.

So was I not being affected by DR ? Or do DR effects not show up in your combat attributes ?
  11. Even some rough estimates would be fine as well. For example i saw one thread say something to the effect that over 60-70% recharge bonus is a waste. Now Im not sure if thats an accurate number / estimate, but if I could get official numbers or estimates like that I can at least plan better.

Im used to cranking up my recharge & accuracy in my PvE builds like mad, but its sounding like that is wasteful in a PvP build.
  12. Okay I searched the forums - browsed back pages for titles. Couldnt find any good data on this and the threads that could have linked to it seem to be gone.

How much does DR affect bonuses ? Are zone and arena affected the same ? I get the rough gist that different bonuses have different caps or amount they are affected by DR. Acc, dam, rech, range, etc etc.

Also do outside buffs apply to DR ? Or do they get applied to your DR total.

    Thanks.
  13. Question - is anything done about the yellow mito spawns ? Or is it get clear regroup and head back in ignoring the yellow spawn ?
  14. I was going for more of a super survivable tank, with the possibility of keeping the baddies in place. So I was considering an Invul Ice tanker.
  15. Thank you for the input !

    Decisions decisions now, lol.
  16. Been digging into level 54 enemies lately. I am considering building an Ice Melee tank for the soft control powers like Ice Patch.

Has anyone had any experience using Ice Patch against level 54 enemies ? Min's, Lt's, and Bosses ? Far in the past I remember an Ice Patch didnt do much if anything against higher lvl baddies. So I'm wondering what the state of it is now ? How effective is it ? Can I lock a group down etc ?

    Thank you

Enhancements are locked onto a character with a limit of 10 pulled off in any given respec because it's the system's way of tying equipment to a character without actually locking it in. You can get it off the character, but it's time-consuming and arduous - and it's meant to be that way because getting the inf to IO characters as you like is a time sink in this game. Without time sinks, the population becomes bored and wanders off.
You realize that the only limiting factor to what you're saying is currency right ? Making the game "too easy" as you have called it ALREADY HAPPENS NOW.

Having to respec out the IO's takes like 3 minutes. And you can tweak your characters powers and slots. That hardly makes it "time consuming and arduous", lol.

The only real factor between being able to swap around IO's right now is having a ton of currency to do it with. Either by buying respecs, or by buying all new IO's. Its the same thing just without having to spends gob awful amounts of currency (inf, merits, etc, etc) to get it accomplished.

And the folks who can afford to do this now ? You got it - you read the other thread in this topic about "how much do you make in a week". As stated hundreds of millions and some billions are the norm for even decent marketeers in a given week. Usually even farming doesnt make that kind of currency if you wanted to argue for farmers.

So yea i'd say when a marketeer doom says the OP's idea - dont read too far into it. Especially docs example with happens now, but just puts the power into the hands of the marketeers vs. general player base.

I'm not going on a "down with marketeers" rant. What I'm really saying it take some of the BS thier gonna feed you with a grain of salt - and realize that this idea HEAVILY effects their interests in the game vs. the benefit it could provide to most players in general.

    Get real.
  18. You have to realize anyone who "plays" the market will be devastated by this idea. It will simply destroy most if not all of the high end "niches" and their profits will simply disappear. Of course anyone in that position is gonna post a significantly scathing "anti idea" against the OP's good idea.

The flippers would scream doom etc.

The convenience and flexibility of the idea are stellar from the perspective of most players. A VERY significant portion of those who flip and play the market for money will be hammered by this idea. Hence the negative review of it.

Sure what doc said "could" happen. In fact is does happen, but now it only happens with the players who have a LOT of currency. Sound like anyone group we know ? ... marketeers ... who make thier money off the current system ... high end flippers ... big profiteers ...

It plainly obvious that to other players it would be real QoL fix.

So always keep in mind that when the profiteers blast this kinds of idea - it threatens their play style more than anything else. Whether its actually good for the game itself or if it benefits the greatest number of players is irrelevant to them.
  19. I just stripped out some of my old PvP'ers. I have this IO and a few other rares available. If theres any serious interest just PM me. Right now 3-4 Bill seems to be the going rate. And if you need something else just ask. Im just sitting on them till I decide if I want to use it again or sell it.

  21. Hello

If I buy the Architect Edition through Steam and have an existing CoH account outside of steam, how is that handled ?

I want to apply the Architect Edition to my existing CoH account. Will I get a serial code that I can then apply to my existing CoH account ? Or will it be a brand new account only playable on steam ?

Does anyone know how this works or have done it ?

    Thank you
  22. Great - thank you for that link. Now do bosses and Lt's have an even greater degration vs. minions ? If i read that table right it looks such that if i take on a 54 enemy when Im lvl 50, my mez effects will be only 48% of normal duration. Now if Im fighting a boss vs. a minion does the boss get even more resistance to my mez duration or is it still 48% of normal ?

    Thanks !
  23. Okay so Ive been starting to fight some of the higher level enemies (lvls 51-54) full mobs. I notice a very significant reduction in my mez durations the higher I go.

Does anyone know the exact reductions in Mez effects when fighting minions, lt's, bosses, of levels 51-54. I am a 50 controller.

I know the info's out there but have been unable to find it.

    Thanks

    Possible RMTers?

I could say a few things up front about you making a personal attack against me, but I'll leave it at this for now:

Your response above pretty much demonstrates how little you actually grasp, and how completely gullible you are. Im still laughing, lol.

Simple point - those spammers simply dont talk about what they do. 99% of the time they cant even speak/communicate in english without some form of translator.

If you had "a conversation with one, and they detailed it all out to you...", oh then they MUST have been a real RMT'er eh ? I mean like "since they told you they were". OMG, lol.

And since they told you all this in game...

    LOL

Its common sense - at this point common knowledge for anyone who's taken a look at the "info" tab on these jokers in between thier mission cycles. Oh dont forget to note that 99% of the time (100% of the times I looked) you check their info that there are NO set bonuses. Their "global" name is the same as thier crappy character name. Oh oh dont forget the near complete lack of badges. Run around in packs of 8 toons - ALL sharing the above characteristics. NEVER EVER respond if you try to talk to them. NEVER. I mean how many clues of observation do you need to figure this stuff out ? Completely obvious, not hard to understand.

    Seriously...

    Still laughing...

    At YOU.
