  1. I think Null The Gull is cute, and don't mind hopping atop the truck to visit with him.

But, I read the forums and have the Pocket D transporter..so..I will go away now.

There are some exceptions: obviously you use level 50 common IOs, and if you're frankenslotting a power you might as well use 50s anyway since there are no bonuses to lose. In general though every good set has a minimum level of at most 30 and the convenience of being essentially full strength for most content you'd exemplar for is too good to pass up. This is truer than ever with the signature story arcs.
Lisa reads post and nods her head. This. I have taken a toon all the way to 50 with level 33 IOs slotted and had absolutely no problems...finding the recipes in the correct range though..that was a chore.

I recall when they changed WW, the enhancement numbers were so small I had to wear two pairs of reading glasses at the same time to read the level numbers. My hubby thought I looked like a space alien.

This fear is why I have not bought any yet.

  4. Hello everyone.
I hear there is going to be a solo path to the incarnates put in soon...I have been quiet about this because I refuse to believe it until I see it...that way I won't be heartsore if it does not happen for some reason or another.

But, I am logging in my 50s and looking at their slotting with a critical eye.

ChiliCheeseDog Annie, a Fire/Fire scrap was my first 50...I soloed her 97% of the time. Not entirely 100% because I have teamed her with my better half and a few global friends who are no longer ingame

I unlocked her Alpha Slot solo, then went on to other alts.

I looked at her this morning, and I want to play this squishy Scrapper again. I just don't know which sets I should be using. When I unlocked the Alpha slot and turned Trapdoor into burnt toast she was using Crushing Impact..but if there is to be a solo path to Incarnates, I want her to be as tough as I can get her.

The new offerings from the Paragon Market may be a way of doing this....maybe.

    Touch Of Death and Makos.

I do have a stock pile of Mako collected when when my Katana/Elec fearlessly took on the Carnies. I may not have every piece, but if Mako is good forFire /Fire scrappers, I can buy what I am missing.

Touch Of Death..nope, I will have to buy sets from the market, which if it will bring new life into my Fire/Fire I will gladly do.

Thanks in advance for any, and all help, that you super clever people who know maths can give me.

    Lisa.

Thanks ClawsandEffect. I appreciate the info. If I may, could I ask another question..no, not here, I will go to The Scrapper Forum and ask there as that is probably the correct place to do so...again, thanks

And, yes Z, I too truly hope you get better. You are one of the good eggs here.

    No, no, no.

Do not get this nerfed as the the story arc writers got the fire farms nerfed in the mistaken belief that if there were no Fire Farms their stories, which get hardly any rewards, will get played...if I sound bitter it is because I actually enjoyed playing AE missions, but the authors role in getting the Fire Farms nerfed, and thus reducing my supply of orange salvage which I bought with tickets, has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Also, some of us, do not care to fill the pockets of Ebil Marketeers, yet are happy to spend money to help support this game.

Hmmm...this makes me wonder if Crushing Impact was a big seller on the market (though Adeon seems to doubt it).
I am a big believer in Crushing Impact.

I do use Ouroboris a lot to catch up on things I missed in normal leveling, and I even revisit fav story arcs....so, I bought a lot of these new fangled Crushings and I am happy with my purchases.

I also use Mako's Bite on those toons who can stand up to Carnies. The set has a very good Hold resistance, and when you are surrounded by a whole lot of Carnies, 1/5 with bosses, you tend to get held. Two sets normally makes that problem go away.

I have a stockpile of Mako's recipes so I probably will not be buying these new ones, but, Touch Of Death I never use, and maybe I should be.

    Hmmm.

Which of the Brute/Scrapper secondaries get the biggest bang for their buck using Touch Of Death?

Lisa-Wanders out the forums muttering to herself and pondering.
  9. Lisa stares at the computer screen thoughtfully...then sighs.

I enjoyed the ambush farms. They were wicked fun..and gave me the tickets I needed to get Orange Salvage.

And no, the demise of my ambush farm will not get me playing more stories...While I enjoy seeing what our talented players come up with....I need Orange Salvage, and regular AE arcs are terrabad about the amount of tickets granted..and besides, I blame the AE authors for the ambush nerf, so playing their stories and rewarding them with five stars makes me ill.

    Lisa
  10. Pancake, I can't decide.

My Street Justice/Willpower Brute, Katana/Elec scrapper, and Fire/Elec Brute are my funnest toons followed by my Spines/Elec scrap.

    Lisa.
  11. My opinion..hmmm..I agree with what you say about leveling kitten quick in the early levels...I don't like it because there is so much stuff to do in those levels...I actually had to turn my XP off in 1st Ward because level 30 was staring me in the face and I was afraid if I did reach 30, I would come to a screeching halt.

Heroside The early 30s are ok because there is Croatoa, and in the 40s you get all the cool missions in PI....to me, the gap between leaving Croatoa and getting Tina's PI missions needs either another XP smoothing, or more content. If I am going to get bogged down, that is where the bogging happens for me.

I have not been here since launch, but I vividly recall what the game was like before XP Smoothing....shudder....I don't want to go back...no, no, no.

This. My Broadsword/Willpower is a bad girl and likes to be in the middle of things, as quickly as she can, and also likes to make splashy entrances, so this attack is perfect for her.

    Sping Attack?

Not sure. It is a fun power though. My Broadsword/Willpower scrap uses it to pounce into the thick of battle...and minions have been killed when she does.

    Lisa.
  16. Oh my stars...I would buy and roll one now, even knowing it is less than perfect now. If anything, I could set her on a nice rooftop somewhere and allow her to build patrol XP while the new patches are being worked on.

Devs, you let the kitty out of the bag....if you allowed one person to roll one on live, we all should be able to. Just plunk a "not optimized yet" message in the store and let us, who wish to, take our chances.

Lisa-Knows this will not happen, but, well, I can hope and dream.

Anyway, again, welcome to the game! Always glad to see new people stopping by!
I am butting in here first of all to say Hello and Welcome to Dogahn, and second of all, GibsonMcCoy, how do you handle the DOT in the Elec/Thorns combo? Doesn't it, the DOT, keep the bad guys awake on your sleep field? I wanted to try one, but got scared off by the thought that the sleep field couldn't resleep my victims because the Damage Over Time was working on them.

That said, I have a Electric/Psi who is great fun, and, with her, I can can drain and keep my victims drained all the way to zero. I also have a Elec/Earth, and it is fun and effective, but it is the /Psi I keep going back to...right now though my baby is a Street Justice/Willpower Brute. I am totally enchanted with it.

    Again, Welcome

  22. Hello all.
I know you cannot see me but if you could you would see my face is still red from all the blushing I just did.

Today, not long ago, I did the first "Who Will Die" Story on my level 26 Street Justice/Willpower Brute.

I leveled to 27 on it, and at the end gnashed my teeth as I was still on cooldown for the Villain A-Merit.

So, I chose another reward and zoomed off to (1) level up, and (2) craft four pieces of Mocking Beratement.

I had all the salvage collected from my day's adventures, and the crafting went as smooth as silk. I slotted them, then went to personal Info to see how large the system considered the bonuses...the bonuses were not there!

I went to combat attributes window to see if they were there...they were not.

I logged out and logged back in, still no bonuses...hmmmmm.

I sent in a petition and waited a bit. Never heard from anyone, so I typed in my problem in the help channel wondering if this was a known issue....I am still so embarrased I do not recall what I wrote in the Help Channel exactly, but some very nice people tried to help.

One person, who has a future in Tech Support, decided to start at the obvious, and, asked "THE QUESTION"

    Are you Exemplared????

I looked up at my level bubble and my jaw fell open, my eyes bugged out, and I could feel my face burning when I saw I was indeed exemplared down to 20.

I never went back to the ghost, but went straight to the Trainer!!!!!!!

I wish I knew who these players were because they were very nice, very polite, very helpful, and did not tell me I should stop playing the game because I am so dumb.

As I type this, two things stand out to me. We have friendly players here, and the Help Channel does indeed work.

A big hug to everone reading this.

    Lisa.
  23. Lisa skips into this thread with tears of joy spilling from her eyes....I can have the Bats Aura..thank you, thank you, thank you.

I meant to wake up at 2:00 AM to see what goodies were being released today, but, bed was just too comfortable. When I finally did manage to haul myself out of bed, log into the forums, and see the contents of the Halloween pack I stared goggle eyed, then rushed int the Paragon Market and bought the pack sight unseen except for the pics I saw on the forums

Then I went to auras, and saw the bats. Light and Heavy.

    Yay!!!!!

I also love the Medusa hair. Color it one color and it looks like messy dreadlocks

Welp, I need breakfast and coffee, and then I am going to run my Street Justice/Willpower Brute..if any Devs are reading this..Here is a heartfelt thank you.

Oh man, here in Bryan/College Station it is based on everything..Driver License, Voter Registration, being a resident of the city, being a home owner. I suspect a lot of people here don't show up, because now they are bringing to life a law which states that if you miss jury duty the police can go to your place of employment, haul you off in handcuffs, throw you jail and give you a stiff fine...fun stuff.
