I just found this thread...I looked at all the pics done by our wonderfully talented players and, well, I would take any of them over what we have now.

Hmm..I don't seee anyone playing my fav.

I started out making two Doms...a Mind/Dark and a Dark/Energy. The Mind/Dark eventually became the one I logged in the most.

Then, two days ago, my better half told me I needed at least one Controller in my stable, so I made up a Mind/Dark Controller....WOW!!!!!

I no longer play the Mind/Dark Dom, and nor have I been playing my beloved scraps and brutes.

At level 16, I have been working more than playing or I would have more levels, I have Mesmerize, Dominate, Confuse, Mass Hypnosis and Levitate on the Mind side.

On the Dark side I have Twilight Grasp, Tar Patch, Howling Twilight, Darkest Night, and Shadow Fall.

Lots of control, and lots of fun solo

Fingers, toes, and eyes are crossed that this combo continues to be the attention holder for me that it is now.

Hello all.

First of all, let me say this was a wonderful patch. I am not into Masterminds but I sure enjoyed seeing them in Atlas today.

Gosh, I wish I did not have to complain...truly.

This morning I logged into the game with my new Kin/Shield Scrap...and I instantly paled.

My fav outfit now is the baggy jeans, casual top, and "Long Layers" for the hair. All of my active toons sport this look in at least one costume slot...some even have this outfit in two slots with different sleeves.

This morning, I found this most loved shirt/hair combo totally ruined.

There is a very nasty clipping issue on the back, left side, of the toon.

It looks like someone made a slash almost splitting one lock of hair.

But it is not the hair that is at fault.

I replaced the casual shirt with a dress shirt, and the lock of hair was fine as frog's hair.

I do not know how to post a pic in this post....but the casual shirt/long layered hair combo now looks really, really bad..and I loved it so much!

I read this patch note, and nearly cried....

"The Pocket D Valentine's Pack Casual Dress Shirt should have less clipping during dance emote animations on all body types. "

Is this what broke my shirt????? Is there any way this can be fixed??????

Should I delete this and post it somewhere else??? I posted it here, because this is where I found the Patch Note.

Anyways, other than my drama, this was a very good patch.

OMG thank you Devs....I was finishing up my Double XP weekend, and decided to take my level 46 Fire/Shield Scrap through her next mission, which was Unai's BP Map.

I thought I knew this map. My first 50 dinged on this map...

I logged in, and to my amazement I saw it was now populated by the BP from the New Dark Astoria

I dashed into the fray at 2/2, and OMG..my level 46 unfinished scrap held her own. Things just melted!

Yes I did die several times, but my build is not done yet and this preview allows me to see where my weaknesses are

And I got some very nice drops...Win/Win

Hello all.
I just read a very eye opening post on the advantages of softcapping Smash/Lethal defense, which means Kin Combats.

My question is how does this apply to Shields. With Shields you softcap Melee defense, and ignore S/L which is good except that I understand that machine guns and their like can tatter Melee defense and bring it to it's knees...and S/L has the lion's share of damage type in game.

So, how does Shields and it's Melee defense survive S/L attacks???????? I know it does fine because my Elec/Shield's fav pasttime is fighting Romans and she has not a single S/L bonus....

Unhappy sigh. I just do not understand the different defenses and how they work with the different secondaries.

Does City Of Heroes have some documentation that I can read about this subject?

I am sorry if this has been suggested before, but with Double XP in a few days and the Devs wanting to sell a lot of stuff in the Paragon Market, I am surprised they have not put together a Double XP Pack.

They could include the team inspirations, various boosters, plenty of rezs, and maybe a few discount coupons to WW to offset the price gouging sure to be going on

To ensure this would sell, they would have to price it at an affordable price of course, but if they had one to buy and the price was right, I would probably buy multiples.

Oh, and while I am dreaming and suggesting, I would love a power that would transport you back to the exact place where you died...some of those maps are long and twisty..COT maps I am looking straight at you.

Hello all.
Today, I used some of my reward tokens to buy Hero Packs. I was primarily looking for the rezzes and the various boosters which will make double XP more enjoyable.

I got enough of the goodies I was looking for to make me smile, and among my booty I also received two of the Scrapper's Strike Critical Hit bonus ATO, and as well as one of the fury generating one for Brutes.

My question is, into which power should I slot this "Scrapper Strike" in my Kin Melee/Shield scrap?

Should I put it in my fastest animating power, which so far is Quick Strike? Or should I put it in my most damaging power so far, which, since I am only level 13, is Smashing Blow.

This, the Kin/Shield is going to be one of my two main double XP toons...the other being my Dark/Energy Dom.

I'm not getting it either....and I buy everything, including the dance emote booster when it came out.

Too Pancaking expensive for a critter that moves slow, dies easily, and gives only a ten percent buff on influence...hmm...if it was invulnerable I might have bought it at that price just to support the game.

To my way of seeing things, unless you are an Irish Roleplayer, buying this is akin to throwing away points.

I sadly pass on this.

That is what I yelled too. I was making a new toon on Victory when I crashed. I tried getting back on and couldn't.

Like you, I can get on the other servers, but not Victory server where I want this toon to live

Draeth Darkstar, my seriously played toons are all scrappers/Brutes and yet I have never gotten a Kinetic Melee toon past level 20, so I wanted to make a final stab at it.

I am sitting on all these crafted Crushings, so I was wondering if I could make use of them. Selling them though, would indeed give my new toon some starting cash.

Pyro-Master, Doomguide, and Kangstor, this morning I made a Kin/Shields and upon logging into Atlas for the first time, I immedietly went looking for a Hellion to beat up. I found a group of two hellions, and started swinging at them before I conned them.

While fighting I saw that my level 1 scrap was taking on a big bad level 4 Lt.

Not only did I emerge the victor, taking down both LT and his buddy, but I also got a salvage drop...didn't think 4s could drop salvage, but this one did

So I am taking this as a sign that I am meant to keep this little scrapper and take her to the heights...which means Touch Of Death IOs and not Crushings

Energy _Aura I have a Fire/Invul Scrap..but upon hearing about how tasty Brute Invul is I am thinking of rerolling her into a Katana/Invul Brute.

Darth_Khasei /Energy Aura does indeed interest me. I am thinking of using Energy as the secondary for Staff when it comes out...but..I don't understand something...the Energy Cloak makes you transparent in order to sneak around, but it, Energy Cloak, is also the Taunt Aura??? How can you sneak about when your aura is screaming "Here I am" to the enemies?

Hello all.
I have been replacing my Crushing Impacts with Kin Combats in some of my builds and now I have a huge stockpile of premade Crushings.

I would like to use these on a new toon, but reading the forums I am confused as to which Scrapper/Brute Secondary is bad boy enough to not require the Lethal/Smashing bonus of Kin Combats or the Melee bonus of Touch Of Death.

I am interested in starting a Kin Melee scrapper, and would like to use the Crushings with it.....can someone here help me find a compatable secondary?

I solo so changing the diff settings is no big deal, and I do believe in using inspirations.

Then how about making something similar? A slide with a different appearance, mayhaps a different color and texture? Instead of a Four Winds Cape, mayhaps you could make a Four Seasons cape created by using the the Four Winds one as a model.

Let us put emblems on the back of our capes and include the Arachnos one

Put all this into a new Collector's edition and call it "The Reboot"

Lisa comes into thread with a serious look on her face....While I do not have the Power Slide and the Four Winds cape, my better half does. He does not use the slide at all, and only one of his many toons has the Four Winds cape.

He never reads the forums, so I asked him his feelings about the Devs putting the exclusive goodies up for sale in the Paragon Market. He said he would have no problems with it.

And if I had bought the collectors edition when he bought his, I know I would not have a problem seeing these up for sale in the market.

That said...impish grin...I want that Arachnos Cape ! I would seriously pay twenty bucks for that cape.
