Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
I have kept on with her, and you all are right, my end usage is becoming easier and easier
She is level 17 now, and can do everything my scrappers and brutes can do...even fought Moxley, not sure if that is spelled right, by myself as Sands had teleported out..not sure why as he was fighting only one group across the room from I, and Fusionette was just standing in a corner while I was beating up this EB.
I did the Midnighter's stuff with no problems, other that my blue bar that is
In fact, I am happy with performance in everything she has tasted so far.
..Lisa scowls at a memory..Stalkers are ok in the higher levels??? I ask because almost every time I play in the late, late for me that is, afternoon I always hear a Stalker, the same Stalker don't want to name names, pleading for help in the Help channel with her missions because they are too much for her.
I don't want to be that stalker
And I won't be
I am Stalker, hear me roar
Anyways, thanks for all the help...I am soo appreciative.
And now, I have a date with the Lady Nocturne..or however you spell her name.
I am going to take down her derpy tail
I am.

Hello all.
I made a Spines/Ice Stalker. I have a name for her my hubby approves of, which is very rare, I love her costume, and am enjoying the set except for one thing..a thing so major I may have to delete her, and I don't want to do that at all.
She cannot fight one group without needing to pop a blue. All I have to do is touch Assassin's Impaler and I see my blue bar go down.
I am only level 10, but I have a build filled with common IOs so I am green across the board
Hide has a Kismet Acc
Lunge and Spine Burst have one acc and one endurance reducer each.
Assassin's Impaler has two endurance reducers and one acc.
I am fuzzy as to the names of my secondary...the Ice armor has one endurance reducer and one defense IO.
Hoarfrost has an endurance reducer and that IO that fits into a resistance power but gives global defense...just got off of work and my brain is fuzzy..steadfast protection?
Stamina has two endurance IOs.
I kid you not, my blue bar is suffering like a big dog. I soloed a Spines/Elec to 50 so I know Spines is a a bit of an endurance hog, but I don't recall my problems being this bad, and at this young a level.
Will it get better????
I really don't want to level a delicate Stalker, and nurse it along, only to find it still needs to be bottle fed blues at level 50......
Any advice is welcome.
Lisa-This is my first Stalker. -
Hello all.
I logged in a toon who has not been logged in for at lest 560 days..don't recall the exact number, but when I logged in I was in the old tutorial.
Ohhhhhh..the memories it brought up. My very first day in the game I was terrified. I had never played a Video game before, much less an MMO.
I recall spending all day in Outbreak.
Anyway, I wandered around Outbreak, reliving the memories, and wishing it was still our tutorial zone...I am not at all fond of the new one, and have stopped doing it.
I wish we could have a choice of which tutorial to start with...Legacy or New.
I think I would even spend points in the Paragon Market to unlock such a choice.
Ah well, I bet it is much too complicated and convoluted to put into place.
I raise my glass of ice cold milk in toast to the old Outbreak.
RIP my old friend.

Those are better names than what my hubby named our two little spys.
My hubby came home with two orphan boy kittens whose eyes had only just opened. I adore cats, but we have tooo many spoiled housecats, and so I told him.
Before I went to work the next day I told him that as he was off that day to take them to the Animal Shelter..they recently moved into a larger building and have a good adoption rate.
I came home from work to find that he had not only not taken them to the shelter, he had named them, taken them to the vet, bought a goodly supply of baby kitten milk and bottles, and started up their charts at the vet's office.
He named them Butterbean and Chuck...and we are bottlefeeding the two...grumble..can't bottlefeed helpless orphan kittens and stay unattached....truly a nemesis plot.
Hey, we have a cat with a true talent for getting into trouble named Nemesis, no reason why a puppy can't be named that
Of your two choices, I think I like Bowser. It has personality
And congrats
Lisa-hears the high pitched mews of kittens..surely they can't be hungry again -
OMG....when did they put the COV DVD Edition Cape and the Cape Of The Four Winds in the Costume creator????
I was making a new costume and came across them...they are not for sale yet, but I want the Villain one so bad I could cry.
I love you Devs

Hmmm...Yes, you can use Gift cards such as Visa Vanilla. First thing you have to do is register the card at Visa.com or wherever the card instructions direct you.
Then go to your NCSoft Billing page and change your card to "Other Card."
It will ask you to input the info on the card just as you would a reg credit card.
A thing to keep in mind is if you have only fifty dollars on the card, you will not be able to buy the fifty dollar bundle because of tax on that 50 bucks....yes, one is charged tax on Paragon points
I think, you can take your different giftcards to a store that sells giftcards and buy a new one using all your different gift cards as payment which will put all your moneys on one card and allow you to purchase a bundle...not to sure about that though...you might want to ask the store cashier about combining debit cards before you do it.
Hope I helped a bit.
Lisa. -
And bought it, and it does indeed work for a team of 1.
You click transport, and, pow, you are at your mission door.
The Praetorian version is gold and grey, very spiffy -
Thanks everyone.
Scrambling to Paragon market nooooooowwwww.....
Lisa. -
What if you are soloing. Will it work for just one person?
If so, I am grabbing this.
Lisa. -
Quote:I usually get hung up in late 30s....and yes, i can see it being worth the points...I just wish I had remembered to buy some.I didnt buy any Double XP ones, but I bought more than a few 50% XP boosters.
Me and a friend were both hung up in the 40s... so being able to boost my XP and give him the bonus temp as well was totally worth the points.
Lisa. -
To my flabberghastment I did not buy any!
I was going to buy a couple, but due to my anger over staff, and real life events, I forgot to do it...I will buy some when they come back into the market and if they are affordable.
Lisa-Forgot to buy the purple set too...dag nab it -
Quote:I caught it, thank goodness.I thought it worked that way too...
Now my survey will show that I have zero interest in the Magisterium Trial, and am counting down the minutes until the Mecha Armor set goes live
If I hadn't, my survey would show I am waiting on pins and needles for the Magisterium trial and have zero interest in Halloween 2 stuffs.
I am the one who absolutely loves the female vampire face. I add the cigarette from the Gunslinger set to it, turn the bats aura on, call forth my Black wolf pet, and my toons are stylin' -
Lisa skips into thread grinning from ear to ear.
After I left this thread, I logged on to Victory, and made a new Staff Toon.
Since I left the thread with the sure knowledge that Staff is only as strong as a kitten in the higher levels, I chose a secondary that I knew would keep her sorry tail alive a bit.
I made a Praetorian Staff/Elec Scrapper
I logged into the tutorial, decided I was nuts to make a scrap in Praetoria and rerolled her as a brute.....an angry, Loyalist of a Staff/Elec.
Oh my gosh but she is fun in Praetoria.
She might be doomed in the higher levels, but right now she is a killer.
She kills everyone she sets her angry eyes on...and she rarely dies !
So thank you everyone
Lisa. -
I got the black wolf pet on the last card in my second pack of 24s.
Funny thing is, I was not looking for the wolf pet. I wanted the rezzes, and the merits, experience tokens, unslotters, and ATOs
Matter of fact, I love everything in the Superpacks EXCEPT the team inspirations..I wish I could dump the useless things in WW....someone might want them....maybe.
Lisa-Looking forward to Super Pack 2 -
Dag nab it. Reading this about Staff makes me want to abandon my Staffer, and be highly suspicious of any new melee sets the Devs may be planning...and I was enjoying my little Staffer very much....why is it the fun to play sets have to be terrabad in performance???
If it is for balance purposes, I say Bah...and...if this is the case, when are you going to release to us, for the sake of balance of course, an extremely ugly, eyesore of a melee powerset which is uber to play in the higher levels????
No way do I want to get into the high levels only to find I am hitting like a kitten.
:Sigh:
Well, hmmm, tell me, how does a Staff/Fire Brute do in the upper levels?? /Fire has Blazing Aura, Burn and Fiery Embrace..do these help shore up the kittenish damage I have been reading about in this thread?
Lisa-Scowling a mighty Lisa scowl which could be a power in itself -
YES!
I paired my Staff Brute with Regen because I have not yet tried Brute Regen, and I thought the the fact that Regen treats all damage the same sounded pretty refreshing..that, and I have a level 50 Dark/Regen who does well solo in Dark Astoria.
But, but, but...I have not seen any Staff/Regens about.
I see scads and scads of Staff/Willpower but no Regen.
I came to the forums to see if there is something wrong with this pairing that everybody but I can see.
I am going to keep an eye on this thread.
Lisa-Glad she is not the only Staff/Regen Brute..I was beginning to think I was -
I cannot say anything about my Stalker yet, but did make a Staff/Regen Brute.
When I hit level four, instead of going to Kings Row and street hunt I went to Praetoria instead. After soaring across Imperial City on my Rocket Board, I settled into Nova and beat up the local bad guys with my mighty broom! I even got a badge by participating in the Zone Event
At level 5, I went back to Primal Earth and am doing radio missions.
My impression is the set is going to be a favorite. I did not die to any Praetorians and I was avidly looking for higher levels to fight.
I say thumbs up
Lisa. -
Jibikao, I can do that...thank you for taking the time to answer my question
And Agent White, I like your style
Watch Out Paragon City, Victory Server, here I cooooome
Lisa. -
Hello all.
I bought Staff today and was happily making a Staff/Ice Stalker when I stopped in my tracks, backed out of the creation screen, and came to the forums to look for a Stalker tutorial, not for a Staff/Ice tut, but for info on how to play a modern Stalker!
I looked about and am still clueless.
I made a stalker long, long, time ago and the play style was hit with your AS, then run away until AS is back again, rinse and repeat, and whatever you do, do not hit anyone unless you are hidden.
I gave up in disgust.
I have read about the changes to Stalkers and want to try my hand at one again, Staff/Ice,...but how do you play them now???? What are the mechanics???
With my Brutes and Scraps I wade right in and start whacking away..what does a solo Stalker do when faced with a mob????
How do you fight with a Stalker????
Lisa-Puzzled big time. -
Quote:Writing on phone with autocorrect turned on so willI can completely agree to that much.
I think roughly 95% of my characters' costumes are composed of new-model stuff like Circle of Thorns, Imperial Defense, Warrior, etc.
And the hair- again, I'd pay 400-800 points in a NY minute for a new pack of hair for male and female.
just say I too desperately want hair that looks
like real hair. Will pay lots for it.
Lisa Not good at newfangled texting -
I spent a lot....but I got a lot of good things
I increased my storage for everything that could be increased so I have plenty of elbow room..I even splurged and bought an extra enhancement tray which has paid for itself many times over, and am seriously thinking of buying the second.
I bought all the wonderful costume sets, and I also bought the ability to change into a wolf....which I use a lot, and am eagerly awaiting the feline version
I bought the Rocket Board, and the Flying Carpet, which my Controller uses for her travel powers.
And then I discovered the IOs in the Paragon Market...the Kin Combats, the Mako's Bites, Touch Of Death, LOTG, and Performance Shifters, and the Numinias...all things I had a hard time getting in WW as they were soooo expensive there.
So, yes, I have spent a lot of cash in the cash shop....and, I do not regret it.
Lisa -
Easiest AT to start out with..hmm...it depends on what their likes and dislikes are and whether or not they have video games skills.
Once your friend understands combos, I think a Street Justice/Willpower Brute might be a good fit. Street Justice is fun to watch and Willpower is a fire and forget secondary which is very forgiving for bad slotting choices, and does well with SOs.
My Mind/Dark controller is hella fun and effective, and, since I am doing well with it with no controller experience I think I can safely suggest it as an easy AT
Lisa. -
Lisa grins a huge grin, and throws a spear at Thermospear.
I am having a simply wonderful time soloing my Mind/Dark Controller. Teaming is a big part of this game yes, but when you come home from work in a tired mood, and the last thing you want is to deal with more people, this game allows you to go into lone wolf mode and have a delightful time all by yourself.
Lisa-Determined to solo her way to the /Dark pet. -
Hmm..what you could do is (Step 1) have your leader toon invite someone you trust to the SG,
(Step 2) Promote your chosen one up the ranks until you get the message that you cannot
promote anymore without demoting yourself.
(Step 3) Promote anyway. This will strip the red star from your leader.
(Step 4) Get the new leader to promote whichever of your toons you want to be Red Star Leader.
Good luck
Lisa.
