Quote:Sounds interesting, you could even add in a few fireworks emotes (bottle rocket, sparkler and roman candle maybe), a firecracker power ala snowball where you toss a small pack of firecrackers at another players feet with no damage component obviously.I was talking this over with a couple people on the Liberty channel and it sounds like a fun idea. We already have a Halloween event (autumn), a winter event and a spring event, but can we get a summer? It could play out sort of like it does with the winter event where Pocket D has a door to ski lodge, but instead of a ski lodge, it could be a private beach for heroes, villains, loyalists and rogues. If we're keeping to Greek mythology, Dionysus could be the one who owns the beach and sends heroes out to find the Golden Apples or a specific chalice. Badges can be summer themed and costume pieces could be beach wear. Instead of skiing like in the winter even, there could be surfing contests. Sound like something good?

More options > less options
I would personally also like to see them add a robotic arms option to sleeveless robes/jackets or vice versa; whichever is easier.

Another good animation would be your character producing a small, hand held device, pressing some buttons, throwing their hands up in exasperation and then smacking the device repeatedly trying to make the thing work before disappearing with a loud popping sound but no light show.

Quote:I'd be happier with kama models for dual blades.
Bonus, those would fit in a lethal dmg set.
Actual Quatar for either DB or Claws would be hot as well, although the wrist blades in claws are a nice substitute.
I'd like to see them add a katar/buckler combo or even a pata sword to the dual blades set and open up the way for DB/Shield or Shield/DB combos.

Quote:If they switched out the slashing sound for a satisfying meaty thud I'd be okay with it. I believe that one of the developers has already said that they wouldn't apply any bludgeoning weapons to the Dual Blades set though.Would you be happy with stick models for dual blades? Because that's an idea I could get behind.

Escrima sticks please! I want to beat up bad guys with two sticks!

I always thought that a good 5th power for the Teleport pool would be a Teleport to Node power. The idea is that the character is tapping into the existing medical\security transport system to arrive at a pre-determined location where a clockwork guard\police or arbiter drone is posted.

Quote:They already have a few decent animations in the game for Teleport. The Steamy Mist animation or some of the costume change emotes come to mind.Yes, let's just change the emotes/effects for existing powers.
I'd like to add a new version of Teleport which has the character rapidly sink into the ground and reappear a distance away from OUT of the ground.

Quote:For me this is almost as silly as when all tankers had to dip into the Presence pool. Defense/resistance is supposed to be what tankers do best so why do they need a pool power to do what they do best?Edit: I'll even say that ALL tankers should get Tough and Weave. There is literally no exception.

Quote:That's not the point, though. It's not about lots of offense and lots of dying. It's about living (i.e. not dying) on the edge and being the center of combat.
Honestly there is very little dying as a blapper/blaptroller. Sure there's plenty of crying but I have asked all the scrappers to stop it.

Quote:Me too but I couldn't find a reference to it so I left it out. You also have to take into consideration that over time swinging would become so second nature to him that he would easily be able to get maximum speed, height and distance out of each maneuver. That's to say nothing of Spidey's superhuman agility and Peter Parker's natural genius for physics.I thought there was an inherent elasticity in his webs that helped yank/pull him forward.
Swinging vertically from a flatfooted stance may seem impossible to us but for someone like Spider-Man it's child's play.

/signed for generic energy wings
I'd also love to see some Davinci style wings or even some arm wings that don't flap while in flight.
Oh yeah, and I want a Greatest American Hero flight animation as well!

Quote:Most of the zones actually have plenty of things from which to swing; such as buildings, statues, power towers, giant black fortresses and war walls. It shouldn't be too hard to add a few more power towers (or the odd off shore wind farm) leading to distant islands to help explain water crossings. Though honestly that kind of thing isn't really required for a swinging travel power to be fun.Believe me - I have nothing against swinging as a power, not as a concept. Hell, that and climbing sheer surfaces are some of the things I'd really like to see in the game. The problem is mechanical, however - swinging requires things to swing from, otherwise it looks absurd.
Quote:It's not exactly "swinging," but then even Spider Man cheats when he swings, because he can be standing on the ground, web to a street lamp and somehow "swing" himself 50 feet in the air from a standing start.

A thought for Roulette.
Keep the 15% Defense buff and allow one of the other random buffs listed to be applied based on random number generation. That way your ally always gets two buffs but their combat strategy has to be flexible enough to change mid stream. Not as all or nothing as the original suggestion but more like a Tier 2 power.
^ -
Praetoria is broken? Was Cole playing Nintendo or something?
^ -
I like the suggestion but Roulette seems a wee bit overpowered for a Tier 2 power even with the random quality of the buffs. It's kind of like a suped up version of Fortitude which is Tier 6.

Quote:For the record it is no less biased than saying that a swinging travel power without a visible anchor is a bad idea because you think it looks silly.I know you're being intentionally dense to make a point, but your point is empty, especially when it comes with bias.
