I've never really got the "gathering point" for roleplay mentality
That said, CoV has the perfect place - a custom designed base! Get invited to Team, enter base, drop from team. Rinse and repeat until everyone who wants to attend has done
A decorative base with no functionality at all is super-cheap to do, which is all you need as a meeting point. -
Was working fine yesterday - ran MZ and Assault ZR-Beta through to Mercy Isle and beyond. I know in beta if Fort Darwin (the area of Mercy you start in) is heavily crowded and you have a mid-low end spec you could get severe problems loading in.

The slow drip of stagnant water from the dank walls interfered with Master Zaprobo's concentration. He had been incarcerated a mere two hours, until he was sure his cell was free of electronic surveillance and began working on the one device the authorities had neglected to deny him. His wrist communicator.
It was damaged, true, but its audio and visual recording capabilities were live. He could record, he could remember. What those "heroes" had done to his vital research.
Oh the years of work! Demolished as surely as Baumton itself. His laboratory condemned, and his technologies confiscated. Ruination! Except for one thing - he still had his communicator.
He could still remember -
Few notes on henchman powers...
- A henchmans resistances/defense scales accordingly to its level. It starts off relatively low, but eventuall ends up as if enhanced by a little over two Single-Origin Enhancements. Devs have stated this is subject to review.
- Any power gained through an upgrade is currently unaffected by Enhancement slotting in the summon power itself. Upgrade-gained powers only work at their base damage, accuracy, etc. The devs are aware, can fix this, but are currently testing that it does not overbalance the AT. -
From an enemy perspective, you're the weak link in the chain when grouped with Tankers and Scrappers. Left alone, you would dramatically increase the longevity of your wards. You should expect to get targetted often.
Your only defense is power pools, epics, and heavily slotted attacks. Anything for +Defense (stops TP landing), +Resistance (limits damage). Add in Tactics and Assault for some status resists and perception bonus. Stop by Sirens Call and when Heroes have control buy some limited Temp Powers to round out your survivability - IR Goggles and Cryo Armour may help some.
Masterminds suffer from the same problem, as do Blasters, Corruptors, Controllers and Dominators. We're targets to take down hard and fast before we do our thing. -
When you first click on any of the PvP Zone contacts they do indeed have (in the new "blue" informational text writing) that they give missions in a PvP Zone and you could be engaged by other players.
Fairly sure anyway -

man is true! i know brutes are all about SMASH! etc and they got high damage but when we talk about Demolition squads we talk about Bots....DEMOLSH!!!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
Alas, the Mastermind is not currently reaching its full potential due to the bug that means all powers gained from upgrades (Like Equip Robot and Upgrade Robot) do not take into account any enhancement slotting. Hopefully it'll be patched soon, then a fair comparison can be made.
That said, what a Mastermind can do that no other AT can match is split our fire amongst multiple targets. Priceless for tanking. -
I always prefer to bind the goto command to a mouse click - this means it selects the location immediately. So, for a basic click bind you could go for...
/bind lctrl+lbutton "petcomall goto"
This would make all your henches go to the point you click, so long as you hold down the left Ctrl key when you do so. -

To try it, I think you can try talking to supergroup registrar at Atlas park for heroes - don't know where the villain one is.

Port Oakes in the Arachnos Building near the Marconeville Marker. -
Heroes still have a chance to see you in PvP Zones where they have powers that boost Perception. */SR Scrappers, Blasters (Aim, Buildup) and people with Tactics will be your bane.

Who among the usual suspects (and newcomers of course) will be roleplaying villains in addition to their heroes or even play exclusively on the villain side?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm an exclusive Villain roleplayer. Check my characters journal link in my sig -

I'm taking team TP for stompinatrix though! Go for hit and run assaults!

Very good - get a formation around you under a FF Dispersion BUbble and have the team TPer move your "tank" around. Was really irritating to fight in a Bloody Bay Event during beta.
Pesky heroes! -
Same as beta...
Drone ZR-1
Drone ZR-2
Drone ZR-3
Protector ZR-4
Protector ZR-5
Assault ZR-6 -
Oh yes, they leave Burn patches
By the way, I was a L33 Robotics Mastermind in beta, so have a very good grasp for the AT

A bounty will be rewarded to the first Villian who presents a screengrab of the dead hero, Abc.Alienware(lvl50 Fire Tanker)will recieve a bounty of 50 million inf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Myself and the ZR Series may be interested in this, purely as a field test/research grant you understand. Now that I've broken out of the Zig.
How do you propose to grant me 50mil Infamy though? Heroes... never think things through! -
I have screenies from beta of all the Robotics henches... that count?
-
And now for my own custom controls that I've been finding very handy in conjunction with a selection of macros as well Smile A few notes...
- It uses the following letters in conjunction with the Ctrl and Alt keys: qwerasdzxc
- Ctrl Commands refer to individually selected henchmen (good for ordering a rogue hench out or into melee)
- Alt Commands refer to henchmen groups (Assault Bot, Protector Bots, Battle Drones)
- Read the !Readme text file for use and installation instructions
The ZIP file is for Robotics only, but would be fairly easy for anyone to change.
I've been play testing them since beta (and during Statesman's Strike) and they are very versatile - I use the WASD keys for moving, the powers bar for activation of powers, and constantly keep my other hand on the mouse so the layout is very fast and intuitive for me to use.
The new Ctrl Binds I added for the individual henchman are icing on the cake - making me able to really micromanage if I have to.

Would love some feedback to see if other people like them! -
