Yeah. I had to delete and restart a character because by doing the loyalty arc first, I had prevented myself from being able to do the resistance arc.
-
If I'm remembering correctly, he really doesn't have much in the way of resistances to anything. All his survivability comes from a massive sack of hit points and regeneration.

Quote:Did he murder Metronome simply to take more credit or was there something else to it? I mean, we interact with Metronome a lot, and he's never seemed sane at any point. He murdered the Praetorian Russel Brandt/Clockwork King, who had been helping him develop the clockwork, and took all the credit for himself.
I'm prepared to believe that they were in the lab, an argument started, and the two of them ended up trying to kill each other. -
That seems unnecessary, with just Boost Range and one Dam/Rech IO, I find that LRM's range exceeds my draw distance.

If you're in Michigan, why do you have a stylized Geisel Library in your icon?

Quote:Especially not when they don't have anything big to launch. Issue 24 might be exciting to us, but I don't know how many new people they'd attract with "Blaster changes!" Sure, I'd like a preview of that, but they already have my money.Right, but that doesn't mean that a small team like PS should waste their valuable time and money going to something that may not have much left to do with the actual focus of their game.
I was just bothered by the Comic-con hate. Yes, it's big and successful. Yes, it's not as narrowly constrained as it used to be. But part of the issue is that it is big and successful. With more people, you're going to get more diverse interests. There are people who are into comics who are also going to be interested in panels about Glee.
And why complain about Glee having a panel when Bones, Castle, and Burn Notice have all had panels? None of those are any more comic related than Glee. -
San Diego Comic-Con International is a non-profit group. They don't get more money by "marketing 125,000 attendees" to anyone. What the SDCCI organizers are attempting to do is to put together an interesting con.
And if you think that there are only a few token panels that aren't run by huge corperate interests, then you haven't been paying enough attention to them. Sure, all the lines are for the panels run by huge corperate interests or celebrities, but there are some really interesting panels that people don't have to wait in line to get into.
I'll agree that things like Twilight and Glee aren't really all that comic-book related, but I can't argue that people don't want to attend those panels. I have no interest, but that doesn't mean that someone who does have an interest isn't a comic-book fan. -
If you're not using your transfer tokens for anything, you can rename a character with two of them.

Quote:For my Dual Blades/Ninjitsu stalker, I tend to imagine that she's tossing a tiny explosive device at her target.Pyronic: As always, Pyronic is AWESOME! It looks awesome, I love the practical effects, but... I'm just not sure how I can explain it. Like ice, fire is specific. I guess you could say the same about electricity, but "lightning" has a broader mythical connotation jut on its own.

Does it really make them stop attacking? Or does it just make them run away and they can't attack while running away? If they are immobilized when hit with the afraid effect, does afraid do anything at all?

Quote:I'd suggest a Dual Blades/Willpower stalker.I have a character concept that I'm working on, but I'm having trouble pinning down the powerset and AT. I am hoping that someone can help me come to a decision. I understand that this is a very subjective question and there is not best or right combination.
I know that I want one of the quick weapon sets (katana or dual blades) and I would like to pair it with one of the natural looking secondaries. That's as far as I've made it. I tend to prefer scrappers or brutes, but would be willing to try a stalker since they've been changed.
If it affects the recommendations, I play solo PvE exclusively and don't play after hitting level 50. Because of that I would prefer something that doesn't bloom late or requires a lot of purple sets or incarnate powers.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -

Quote:I do have one problem with Spring Escape. I'm trying to imagine using it, and I find myself standing in the middle of combat, doing nothing for a moment while having to place a locational target point.Well, my thought process for Spring Escape was that it would be nice to have an attack that could simultaneously be used to escape a group of attackers. In general, I prefer blaster moves to deal damage whenever possible, although there are exceptions.
What about making it a toggle with a tether point such that, when detoggled, it gives the effects and returns you to the tether point? And give the player the ability to detoggle it while mezzed. -
Quote:If he could take more than one hit, I might agree with you. That's not the case. Mr. Immortality does not have tanker hit points, he doesn't have tanker defenses either. All he has is Revive. His fighting capabilities are nothing to write home about his offensive contribution to defeating whatever threat is at hand is negligible. He serves his team primarily as a distraction, to draw fire, and he is little more than a tackle dummy that gets back up. That is CoH Tankers, as they are currently.
Would you call a Pet-less Trick Arrow Mastermind a tanker if he made sure to get into the middle of spawn before anyone else did? He serves his team primarily as a destraction (and vengeance anchor). -
Quote:Mr. Immortal is not a tanker. Not remotely.
Mr. Immortal's primary consists entirely of Revive. Mr. Immortal's secondary consists entirely of Revive. His pool power selections consist entirely of Revive.
That's his build. He has the inherent powers and Revive 24 times.
That's almost a character I'd be excited to play, but I'd rather have Rise of the Phoenix 24 times. -
