  1. Thanks everyone, actually the ninja run part was my own stupidity.
I saw it greyed out and thought I couldn't use it on the Kheld.

    I was level 2...

    Yeah.

Still kinda bummed about no hover but the concepts so cool I'll roll on!
  2. *Still splattered across the ceiling in a classic cartoon pose*

"Why do I smell like peaches?"

    *Falls*
  3. I rolled up my 1st WS last night and got to level 4. I was finding it very enjoyable and couldn't wait to get back home to play some more.
Only one thing bothered me and I figured I could take care of it at level 6.

Since I planned on going the human only route I went to mids to start speccing out the build only to find a huge hurdle if it's accurate.

You see, my problem is, I can't use TP without hover.
I've never been able to. My rig just isn't fast enough, I'll always end up falling out of the sky before the next port.
    All my TPers have hover.

So mids is telling me WS' can't access the Fly or TP pools at all....
Is this correct or just a mistake on Mids?

If it's true then I might have to rethink this, unless anyone has some suggestions.
    Also, no Ninja run?
  4. Depending on the build, I still street sweep pretty regularly.

Last night my new Katana/Willpower scrapper spent an hour boss hunting on the streets on Steel. Divine Avalanche makes jumping in the middle of a large mob possible. I had just hit level 14 when I zoned in, happened to see a Lead Brick on my way to the trainer.
    Then another, and another.
    It was great!
By the time I made it to Icon I'd hit 15!

Every new toon I make street sweeps solo until level 4.
Which generally takes about 10 minutes of running around the buildings near the sewer entrance. This naturally gets old fast and the sewer run is so efficient...

That said, it's a little more tricky on my blasters.

Don't think I've ever been on a team that sweeped. Unless you count taking out the surrounding mobs while waiting by the door as sweeping.
  5. I'd just like him to be in the game...

Then I'd want to cast Freezing touch on him, just for the wow factor.
  6. Only one movie is ever shown at a time in Paragon City and the Isles.
That movie will be shown for no less than 3 years as well.
  7. *Mine starts ticking*

"somebody...needs...to..move their elbow, its in my eye!"

    *Foot slips off mine*

  8. Mr. Sobriety - Ice/Fire blaster
His gimmick was an ability to null the effects of any drug or intoxicant.
The trolls hated him for it, or so his bio read.

He made it to level 11 before being scrapped. Apparently players didn't like the idea of being sober. Always making comments about how their drug of choice was immune...

    The Clownster - WM/Invul Brute
He was a circus clown who found a sparkly mace one day. The mace was imbued with dark energy and twisted the poor clowns mind into shambles.
The mace would tell him to do bad things and punish him for not feeding it souls. I had macros set up, the clown would talk to his mace, make jokes with it. Then start randomly crying. One of the most mental toons I've rolled.
Just proved to be an annoying power combo, he'll be rerolled one day.
  9. *Takes a sip of coffee and starts walking across the room*

"Man, last night was killerrr" *CLICK*..

"Ok, who left the trip mine out? Great, now I get to stand here all day..."
  10. *Tries to adjust position and falls out of duct*

"Oww, hope theres still some coffee"
  11. Anything thrown, be it a slab of rock from your feet or an energy projectile automatically has the ability to phase through solid objects and track you down no matter how fast you run away, even rounding corners.

Most badguys in the city are either really hard of hearing or have earbuds in. Because I can stand less than 5 feet away and unload my machine gun
on his buddy and yet he just stands there staring into space...

If you want to trick a hero, simply lay down on the ground and have your buddies look concerned. Works every time.

A secret law was passed long ago outlawing cats and dogs from the city.
  12. *peers down into room from his secure location within the air duct*

*rubs hands together and whispers to self*

"Can't wait for the fun to begin."
  13. That little old ladies in this city all have super strength and indestructible purse straps.

Paragon City has one fireman and he gets a whistle...

Azuria should never be trusted with anything... she'll just lose it.

    Um... Melee?

One of the benefits of going with Elec/Elec is the ability
to completely drain your opponent of endurance.
Using Power Sink + Short Circuit.

This will make being in melee even easier for you!

    Good choice.

No, it's not redundant. It's powerful!
  15. Guys, seriously...

I dreamed the old UI returned.

Been playing for over 5 years and never dreamed about any aspect of the game.
I'm not even a big market user. I'd mainly just sell what dropped. Never broke 100 million on any toon etc. etc.

But somehow. I woke up this morning and had the vague impression that I was overjoyed at the return of the side to side scroll...
  16. From the Patch notes;
Removed the rewards for all 'errand' tasks within missions. These small rewards were exploitable with the new mission abandonment feature. Mission completion rewards are not affected, including patrol missions.

    Sounds like this is WAI...

On second reading, might not be related if these were actual instanced missions...
I think that applies only to the 'go talk to so and so' type missions.
  17. Bravisimo!

I've always preferred Tech be used for time travel as opposed to magic and or supernatural forces.

    Good job!
  18. <---- Is avoiding the markets entirely until the next 'fix'

Thankfully we now have personal banking, which means I won't be hurting as much from not using the market.
  19. Welcome to Paragon City Gilgamesh! (Still used to that being a dev name)

    Some helpful links for you;

    COV contacts guide

    Paragonwiki is your friend

Also, as an aside, since your new I would caution you that the boards are
moderated heavily and this is considered to be a rated T game...
Just don't want you getting in trouble unnecessarily.

    Synergy question

    My personal choice if I could have a duo partner for my blasters would be;

Another Blaster - Nothing beats more damage. I'd say Fire/Ice for the added mitigation in /Ice and the added AOE's of your combined Firepowers.

I'd rather have a controller than a defender. Just because as a duo you won't need the massive buffs avail to defenders and you can benefit from the holds/ immobs.
    My choice would be either
    Ill/Empathy
    Fire/Rad
    Fire/FF

Really anything will mesh well with a Fire/MM blaster.

    Have fun!!
  21. Oh, well. Can't argue with that.

Like I've said. I have SB on my dual build. But on the rare occasion I don't feel like running all over the map to switch back to my team build I shouldn't be kicked because of it's absence.
Not when I bring so much other goodies to the party.

This line of thinking is so flawed logically it hurts my head.
It's like your saying that every single person playing should
    take Stamina or they're morons.
Because, who doesn't benefit from more endurance?

    >_>

    <_<

Yes, it is a great buff. Yes, it can be annoying to recast constantly.
NO, it is not the 'end all be all' power you guys seem to want it to be.

    Why is it so hard for people to accept that players build individually, according to their;
    Concept
    Playstyle
    Comfort level
    Et al.

It's like calling every race driver a 'Terrible racer' because they don't hit the nitro button every mile...
  23. No, this was a glitch of some sort. Just curious if it was on my end.

I would set the slider to 4 and then hit ok.
The Heavy Water would appear in the tab for a split second, while still being shown in my salvage box.
Then it would vanish from the market UI...

Once I was able to store an item I was unable to post it for any amount half the time.
I'd set 1000 and click post.

    Nothing.

    click click click.
    Nothing.

    Click click click

    Ah, forget it....
  24. Is anyone else having issues with not even being able to place an item
    for sale?

    I'd drag and nothing.
It'd even give me the box to choose the amount, after hitting okay... nothing.

My 1st thought was I was full, til I realized I hadn't even placed the ones that I thought had been stored....
