What I really want

Does anyone else dream about a time when we might be able to affect the scaling Midnight Grasp tentacle animation in a fight against Rularuu the Ravager? Or am I the only one?

I'd just like him to be in the game...

Then I'd want to cast Freezing touch on him, just for the wow factor.

Personally I would be amused by the giant arrows an archer would leave sticking out of him.

Well, I have seen my tentacles scale with everyone else, so why not him?

Inherent in my comment is a desire to see him in the game. He currently is not available to fight. Also, if he ever DOES make it into the game, my dm scrapper has something fo' his ace. Just sayin'

I think the problem was our targetting reticle would've been too large.

Always made me wish they'd just make his face targetable. But I guess that would give the melee group a problem.

Still holding out hope we'll see him and the Nemesis Horse at some point though!

Tell that to any melee villain who's ever run the Sharkhead Strike Force.

Well, even the Eye of the Leviathan is PUNY compared to Rularuu the Ravager in his full glory, and the Eye is more or less at ground level anyway. Rularuu is an order of magnitude larger than any other Giant Monster in the game. Lusca and the Jade Spider would barely be able to reach his knees. His center of mass would be over a hundred yards in the air.

Getting power ranges and target boxes to function properly against something so mindbogglingly out of proportion with anything else in existence was not exactly a trivial matter. That said, it'd be one hell of a fight; Rularuu the Ravager is basically a god, and fighting him would be somewhat akin to taking on Galactus.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.

The only problem with the Eye of Leviathan is if you've got a group of melee characters that can't fly. IIRC There's a ledge right next to it where you could get one or two melee characters to attack from.

Galactus eats planets. Rularuu eats dimensions.

If you don't have some sort of temp flying power by the time you're fighting the Eye of the Leviathan, you're doing something wrong.

But like Galactus, regular heroes have fought him before, and won*! C'mon devs, we need the big guy in the game!

Rularuu the Ravager menaced Paragon City back in the roaring '60s. Luckily, before his interdimensional plundering could properly commence, Rularuu was defeated by a group of superheroes. In an ironic coup de grace, the Midnight Squad trapped Rularuu in an otherworldly prison called the Shadow Shard, where he’s been stewing ever since.

My archer always carries around a spare ballista. You know, for emergencies.

And here I thought what you really wanted was a pony.

But fighting RtR would also be cool.
