All my flying toons (which is 95% of em) have macros for the flyposes.
Some guys only look right with one, some cycle thru a few.
I was originally miffed when I learned we'd have to use them like emotes instead of the auto way the originally planned, including the banking animation.
I'm glad it's this way though because some of the poses just don't feel right for certain concepts. This way I get to choose!
That said, if it's an idle stance replacement, I'd personally hope it was a choose which one then it's always on by default. -
I'd been playing for nearly 3 years... on Blasters... and I very rarely ate inspirations as I never really noticed any bonus from them. I'd actually delete numerous reds and yellows and what not just to have a tray full of blues and breakfrees. Even after the ability to combine came out.
Then, one fateful night, I happened to be running thru the Croatoa arcs on my Elec/Elec when I noticed a lone hero trying to take down Eochai close to the train. I stood watching for a minute, far enough away so my level 28 self didn't get stomped. Then I watched as he zoomed off at SS.
I figured he'd just given up and started typing out a tell to a buddy. As soon as I sent the tell he appeared again, tearing into Eochai. It's then that I noticed he was actually bringing the beasts health down! The hero was only 34. I used local to ask just how he was doing this and he informed me of the liberal use of inspirations. He'd run to Bower and buy a tray full of various goodies. quickly popping every one of them.
So I joined in. I SS'd to Bower, got a tray full of Yellows and Reds then ran back. Since he was holding the aggro I just stood at range and blasted away! Eochai was down in less than 5 min. after that!
I haven't looked at inspirations the same way since. Really improved my high level gameplay too. -
Slightly off topic but a curiositity all the same...
Does Killbot 5000 really use walk enough to have it that predominant on your tray? :P -
It would be so cool if they could make it an actual zone change. If you clear 60% of the BP within an hour the fog lifts and reveals DA for a few hours. Before the place gets overwhelmed again and fog reclaims it.
Sounds like great fun all the same! Hope you have a great turnout.
I'll be working -
Still calling Infinity home but had to spread out to other servers due to a severe case of altitis.
That and I stopped checking the individual sub-forums when the New Posts button appeared, so if a post from here doesn't grab my attention... -
Forgot to add my choice last night.
I'd say go with Fire/Ice for the best all around combo for solo or team play. You'll have massive damage at your disposal with excellent mitigation as well. Out of all my Blasters, this one combo leveled the fastest (and was the most enjoyable)
Might take a level or two to get used to the overwhelming power of the AOE's, so you don't draw unwanted aggro. But in the long run it's worth it.
If your planning on mainly playing solo though, I'd say go with Energy/Energy. Even though it's pretty much strictly ST damage wise, the KB will add loads of protection, when used properly. My Energy blaster went with SS + Stealth and turned into a boss killer. He ghosts most missions, stands in the bosses face for a second then unleashes a barrage of melee and point blank blasts. They melt like butter! -
Quote:While this might be true for those players not used to playing the AT, I must disagree. My Blasters are the most survivable toons I play! Granted, I've mainly rolled blasters for 5 years now and it's like second nature. I find when I try to play my scraps and tanks that I always die way more often. Usually because I'm more lax in my attention to the health bar, since I should have defenses to deal with it, often I get overwhelmed simply because I'm not used to playing them.So i hear blasters are walking corpses in a sense they die easier than other classes.
So, while it can be said that Blasters are glass cannons, they are by no means walking corpses. That honor goes to petless MM's :P -
Actually, I'll be moving 3 or 4 off of Virtue and onto one of the lower end servers, maybe Pinnacle.
In return I'll be moving 2 from Freedom to Virtue.
I might move some lesser played toons off my home server Infinity just to make some more room there. -
2 actually.
Web of Arachnos
and
The Freedom Phalanx
I've read the Web and thought it was an interesting read. Gives a good deal of backstory with States and Recluse, etc.
Haven't gotten around to the Phalanx yet.

From the nearly 6 years I've been posting here whenever I see this suggestion brought up I've always noticed that it's very heavily sided
against turning this into City of Cars.
A handful of people would like to see this added. An overwhelming majority would not.
You listed every reason yourself, before you decided to ignore the 6 years of debate. -
Yes please. More options for my favorite AT are always welcomed!
-
You get the wedding pack for all the little goodies? Think it comes with a Throw Rice emote as well.
-
You know, I may have been the 1st one in this thread to be excited and feeling positive. But now...
The slow burn happening down the way is kinda spoiling that. Meh. -
Still fighting the good fight! Been arresting Hellions since 2005, see no reason to stop now!
However, Infinity is full for me and I still have a severe case of Altitis, so I've branched out to 2 other servers. Mainly Virtue and Justice. -
Thats probably because we've never seen one. At least I don't think I had. Plenty of *ragequit* I'm leaving the game posts but never just the forums and never out of respect for the mental health of the community...

None of my Heroes will be... at this time.
My main, Maestro Mavius, will be recreated as his Preatorian counter-part though. Same basic look starting out, same powers. But circumstances will alter him and ultimately turn him evil!
Man, I can't wait to get all energy blastery on the Isles!!
I have 1 brute that will be redeemed and 1 brute that will probably top out at Rogue. Otherwise it'll be all new creations. Including my Heroic Robotic MM! -
Yeah, I gave up actively announcing my interest in RP for that reason. Never failed you'd get some chap that gets his jollies from breaking your immersion.
Virtue is by far the best server for serious RP, though even there you'll have some vocal detractors.
These days I RP in my head with certain toons. I may warn a PUG that a toon I'm on always acts in character, but thats as far as it goes.
Most love it when I'm on my robot toons. Lots of funny things can happen since he has a holographic generator, which allows him to change his appearance at random.
Or when I activate the beefed up Power mode and switch from a tiny little machine into a hulking metallic beast right before charging the spawn.
Ah, good times. -
Forums crashed for me about 9pm central time last night.
I just figured they took it down to nuke it in the shadows... -
Doh!
Silly me, I assumed the scoop I use was a cup. Upon looking at the handle I discover it's actually 1/2 a cup so it should be 1 1/2 cups sugar.
As an aside, I can't drink tea before noon myself. It's really only good with some warm salty food to go with it. -
Power slide....
Yes please!
Been wanting that for years now. -
Main reasons it wouldn't (at this point)
Loss of unique names. You can have Captain Amazing on Justice but I have Captain Amazing on Pinnacle. If the two merged would you want your favorite level 50 to become Captain Amazing2?
Some people, like me, intentionally pick low pop servers for various reasons. More of a feel of being a unique Hero/Villain, instead of being surrounded by dozens.
Less traffic in PvP zones, for easier temp power collection. (Yeah, not so much a problem on any server nowadays)
Larger server loads
Reuniting with old enemies. You originally moved your toon to Infinity because Victory was overpopulated with people you didn't get along with. Now they're merged and all your old frenemies will be around.
Server merges signal the demise of a franchise, to the mainstream mindset.
Among a litany of other reaons.

Perfect glass of Southern hospitality;
Boil water.
Place 3 tea-bags (luzianne or liptons) and let steep for 10 mintues.
Sift 3 cups of sugar into empty pitcher.
Remove tea-bags and pour into pitcher.
Stir vigorously.
Let stand for 5 mintues.
Pour into chilled glass full of ice slowly.
Enjoy! -
I'd say at this point in the game, what with IO's and all, any combo of scrapper works well.
My MA is Willpower cause it went with his concept and I already have a Kat/SR.
I'm sure one of the number gurus will be along shortly to correct me though -
Sweet!!
I doubt I'll be quick enough to grab one but I'll be trying! -
If your only reason for rerolling the Dark is one or two color choices your not happy with don't.
Just go to the tailor and change it. Even at level 5 you should be able to access the tailor inside the RWZ building in Atlas.
Granted, I've got so many free costume tokens I stopped thinking about costs years ago so might not be an option if the changes are expensive.
