I'd just be glad if we could get the ability to dodge. It's just instinctive. Still to this day I'll see a chunk of floor ripped up, or a rock about to be thrown. I'll see it come at me and I'll sidestep it.

Yet the chunk of floor had some kind of homing device... somehow...
Oh and it phased through the wall as it curved towards me.


I mean, I expect it by now but it's still jarring. That and the occasional 'move while blasting' glitch makes me really wonder what this game could be like.

Then we can get to counterattacks.

Oh yeah, quite a few of my toons have 2 travel powers. Usually Fly and SS, on rare occasions SJ and SS. Mostly for concept reasons though.

I routinely venture into the Bay for some Shivan love and I've Never seen another soul... at any time of day... any day of the week...
On Infinity.

The 1st few times I went in I always expected to get ganked right off the bat (As this is how it was in Sirens when it launched, man I loved that increased mission bonus! My main blaster spent most of his twenties in there!)
So, naturally I assumed the risk of being killed. Then I started getting complacent when it never happened.
Then I actually started wanting to see a villain, even going so far as to broadcast that a squishy blaster was all alone in the Bay.

So I ask, is this really a problem? Because it sure doesn't look like anyone still PvP's round here to me.

Have you never run any Portal Corp arcs?

I view it more like a multi-verse. Like in the movie The One. Each dimension has it's own seperate realities as well.

So in one Earth the Council took over everything back in the 40's, as such the subsequent events; Rikti invasion, formation of the Phalanx etc etc didn't happen there. It would stand to reason that this Council dimension also has a Praetorian counterpart, just very different from the one we know as the events would have been altered.

In essence, with a Multi-Verse you don't have to worry about something fitting into Canon because everything is a possibility.

I'm afraid the days of having community reps are behind us.

On the flip side, we've got some great event announcers now...

I'm hoping Boomtown is the next zone to get the Faultline treatment myself.

I still go visit Babbage back in his corner every once in awhile.

I actually had a thought about the whole server merge deal the other day.
I'm not for one personally. But if the day ever comes when it is decided to do it. I think they could easily fold it into the lore of the game and avoid some of the server merge = mmo death drama.

Rularuu the Ravager absorbs dimensions. I've always viewed the 11 servers as various dimensions. With the same Earth, but seperate Heroes because of the Power source. Most of my Heroes reside in the dimension known as Infinity. While my Villains mainly reside in the Virtue dimension.

So. With viewing the servers as dimensions. An in game event can be started. With Rularuu regaining a few aspects, thus giving him the power to absorbs the dimension he's currently in and escape the Shard.

The Heroes and Villains and Praetorians who managed to get prior warning would have used Portal Corp. to escape to another dimension before the destruction. Thus explaining name conflicts.

Then on the final few dimensions, Everyone combines power. The full force of the Menders, Midnighters, Phalanx, Praetors, Arachnos and every hero in the game are successful in re sealing Rularuu in the Shard.

Minus a few dimensions.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not disagreeing. Heck I can barely run around Liberty these days.

I've just been around long enough to know whats coming.

Pay no attention to the color of the servers...

Freedom specifically has been upgraded already.

Prepare yourself for the numerous posters to follow with how they never have any issues on Freedom and it's on your end...

Well that and some posters would make a habit out of twisting his words and spreading rumors based off his posts. Still, he had a humor and wit that is lacking with his abscence.

It not only Kosher, it's one of the main reasons for the sub-forum!

Now I'm wondering about Forge...

I don't see anyone beyond the usual whinner babys 'getting bent out of shape' over this.

What I see is a great deal of respectable forum goers voicing their concern that this is bad form. Not using hyperbole, not desperately trying to sound smarter than everyone.

The french got a perfectly understandable response concerning the overwhelmingly negative feedback.

That, in fact, is all that most of us are looking for at this point. The pack is in the store. So for one thing the 'discussion' thread needs to be locked. Beyond that, if this was my company, I'd be writing up some kind of boilerplate reponse. Bad feelings towards a company, even if they are bogus, do more to damage an image than any bad product can.
No apology is needed... This is business afterall.
No explanation is needed... It's their business plan.
A simple, we saw the feedback and have passed it on to the concerned department would instantly make 80% of us chalk this up to 'just another thing' and move on.

Instead of allowing this to keep growing and festering and spreading into the actual game. How sad is it that anyone in game I see with the emotes gets booed in broadcast?

The pack isn't a big deal, it isn't gamebreaking and you can in fact enjoy the game without ever buying it.
The bad PR is on track to derail said enjoyment for a great deal of people though... Even the ones who have no clue we even have a forum!

Thing is, I could understand if Avatea or Ocho came into the discussion and said they'd simply run out of time with GR being worked on so heavily and thus didnt have much of a booster for August as promised.

I could understand if Avatea or Ocho came into the discussion and said they'd had numerous request for smaller 'Niche' boosters and this would be but the 1st of many.

I could understand if Avatea or Ocho came into the discussion and said the company was exploring the possibility of going to a more micro-trans F2P model.

I could understand and accept nearly anything our community reps told us concerning all this negative feedback.

Acknowledge us. Even if it's not something we want to hear! This has been one of the foundations of this community for 6 years, great communication between the players and reps/devs.

This, above all else, is what concerns me the most. Honestly.

I'm with the original poster above who stated rename this to Announcement if you no longer plan to participate, to show us your side of things. Instead of flat out ignoring us and throwing a party.

The silence from our community representatives is hurting more than the cost, or the content, at this point.

I've never screamed anything at my monitor... I've never been the type to hurl a controller in a fit either.

But.

Recently I have noticed a tendency to be annoyed and actually speak to the monitor. My phrases usually come out mockingly and sarcastic.
Like;

"Really?! Are you serious? I stare at the load screen for over 6 minutes. Get up to make a drink, come back and your still loading... Really?" *Eyeroll*

Or mocking my tower.

"Oh come on... you can't be serious? It takes you how long to let me leave the hospital? Wow, what a lovely black screen I get to look at here..."


Yeah, I hate my antique rig but at least it still lets me solo. Albeit rather frustratingly at times.
