I hunt down those blasted sharpshooters like they're the greatest threat to Paragon. I've often wondered why every faction didn't have a defeat 100 badge.

It has been ever since NYCon. Something there must've really scared them...

Honestly, I was unhappy with the changes to the comic sub-section, but I accepted it. I was unhappy with the lack of communication concerning the Partly Pack fiasco... but I coped. I'm increasingly growing tired of the lack of communication concerning the MM bug, but I can deal with it.
What I can't accept is this new 'Corporate approved communication only'
approach that OCR is being forced to tow.

We used to have a vibrant, diverse and friendly atmosphere around here. We've been praised for years and years by the gaming industry at large for how well the communication between Devs and players was. We had an established and thriving community that shared a wide range of interests.

Then some corporate big wig got all uppity and put the clamp down.
ACTUALLY telling us to go away. Let me repeat that.
They literally told us, their forumites, to go away if we want to talk about anything that isn't COH productive threads.


Since then I've been patiently watching, waiting to see what the fallout would be. In the last few months I've seen the amazing community start to crumble, at a time when the game should be reaching new heights.
We've been split up between various forums for all sorts of media simply because someone at PS is afraid we could be lured away.
The inability for them to see the ramifications of this action is truly heartbreaking.

As sad as it sounds. The ongoing forum problems might be the last straw for me, as I've not been ingame for about a month now, the forums used to be the reason I'd stay subscribed during the burnout months I take off.
I doubt I have that same reason this time.

I wouldn't expect you to, I wouldn't be bothered by leaving either since we're all here to have fun.
I don't mind the application of it. I have a Force Fielder that is even more 'buff-bot' than Kin's can ever be.

What got me to the breaking point was the fact that I found myself no longer enjoying a toon I'd grown to love. I'd spent a great deal of effort on the look and backstory, took care to slot my powers properly, yet none of that mattered to the teams. The moment they noticed I'm a Kin I became nothing more than the crack dealer, even getting strife for using my debuff attacks like Irradiate. At 1st I'd argue with the team, eventually I just gave up and realized I'd be a scapegoat anytime the team faceplants...

Might not be as bad these days, but 3 years ago, yeesh.

I don't even consider it a must have. In fact, I don't have it on any of my Kin's anymore. I dropped it like a bad habit after one too many mixed teams. Half the team demanding SB even when it hasn't worn off yet, the other half screaming bloody murder if it gets applied to them.
No thanks. I refuse to let such a small aspect of my powers become all that I'm worth.

If the team is hurting that badly, well the problem isn't my lack of SB...
I gladly leave any team that moans when they see I don't have it.
I'll take my Fulcrum and go somewhere I'll actually be appreciated.

Indeed. It's why I've been here for nearly 6 years! This community rocks.
I was gifted the huge sum of $100,000 by a passer by my 1st week playing. This was long before we had a market and 1K was a ton of cash!
Since then I like to pay it forward as much as I can.
