Well, a few things can happen.
They keep it.
They send it back.
It's an inactive account and in 60 days the email and attachment are returned to sender.

When the emails started disappearing because there was a timer on them no one knew about I managed to get 6 recipes back that way. I know a GM can track them and return items, but I don't know if a GM will do it, especially if it's an active account and the item was claimed. |

I discovered that if the global you send the email to doesn't exist then it bounces back to the sender's inbox. I was sending a welcome email to a new player and my message bounced directly to my inbox.

I did the same thing. I sent a 999 million influence to myself or so I thought. My handle was @Dark Baroness1 and I sent to @Dark Baroness. I submitted a support ticket and got the influence back in about 5 days.

I was gifted the huge sum of $100,000 by a passer by my 1st week playing. This was long before we had a market and 1K was a ton of cash!

Gone for a few months is different from leaving.
For one: CVoH has been a great game, with more pros than cons.
For two: CoH at 15$/mo has been a greater investment of funtime vs money than 15$ worth of movie tickets could hope to be.
For three: CoH, has had something beneficial in every issue, even if the main gist of the issue hasn't been my big deal every single issue. There's at least minor QoL improvements, a few emotes or a costume piece or something, in every new issue, that makes an improvement for me personally.

This game rocks and no other MMO has my attention, nor caters to my particular style.

Pork, to the best of my knowledge we've never met, teamed, or even played on the same server. I know we've never traded PMs on the forums, and I doubt that we've even had an in-thread conversation on the forums. Regardless, I've always considered you one of the Paragons (sorry! I had to! ) of the forums. Don't stray long, the City needs heroes like you.
