All enhancements origin are coded by the ring around them. Again, you'll have been exposed to them for at *least* 20 levels (DOs) by the time you hit an all origin shop, and you can right click and get it.

    And level? .....

    Really?

You do notice the numbers on them, right?
Well I now have 1 Hero and Villain at level 40+ so your statements are incorrect. Yes I noticed all of these facts, but I still think these changes could make updating your character's enhancements a lot faster and easier. Would it hurt to not have to question if that shade of purple is a defense buff or de-buff enhancement? They devs seemed to run out of icons for the different origins, which is fine, but this simple selection system would not require them to make an unique icon for each one as they should have.

As to the level, the numbers just seem rather smaller lately. I work on a PC all day long, and it has been more stressful trying to figure the numbers out.

This would, I think, make dealing with updating enhancements a lot faster, and less stressful as one could just plug in what they want. Would this really be all that bad of an idea?
  2. I was wondering if anyone has asked for a shop fix?

I mean, with some shops you have every origin for every type in quadruplicate.

Also as a noob, and even now, I find it hard to identify the different enhancements types past the original non origin typed ones.

So could we get some sort of organizer for the shops?
    1. The Enhancement Type (accuracy, damage, etc)
    2. The Origin Type (hybrid or single, for magic, tech, etc)
    3. And the Level

I imagine this has been asked numerous times before, any word on it?

Also really like the idea of alternate skin and face options.

Could we get a cat-like run option ? Maybe a Hoppy-toad run option as well.

Rolling curled up in a ball like a salamander ?

Lots of running animations I probably havent thought of
The general thought of making more animations is that it is hell for them.

Anyway, everyone seems to like to say this and that is SOO hard for the devs to do, just to try and get people to stop asking. So maybe we will see some no animations.

Hehe, how many folks out there are just itching to make Thundercats ?
Rumor mill is that it was confirmed that the Mutant Pack will be focused on minimalistic and/or monstrous things.

    I agree, this is needed.

Then post your build. I personally like Soul Mastery or Leviathan. Soul Mastery has Shadow Meld. Also, on paper, Soul Storm does more dmg than Sharks. Haven't tested why people go for Sharks instead of Soul Storm.... >.> Gona have to use the test server when it comes back to public use.
Thanks for the link! I knew somewhere this program existed, but I didn't know what it was called, so I had a lot of trouble looking it up.

    Mutant Pack ??

I have been saying this in other threads, so I thought I'd add it here as well.

I have a serious gut feeling that we are going to see some more monstrous glove slots, coupled with a No-Effects claw power optoin so you can attack with your costume claws, rather than metal protrusions.
  8. I predict that the mutant pack will have more monstrous/animal heads.

I also predict that the mutant pack will have better claw gloves linked with a no-effects claw setting so that you can do claw attacks instead of some metal protrusion attacks.

As a third alternative, maybe a magic gun with good range, moderate energy/lethal damage with a debuff of some kind, and a decent recharge.

Four idea: Oracle LANing. A special PBAoE team Defense and ToHit Buff that increases for the number of teammates around you.
    Cool ideas. Thanks
  10. Thanks, I was starting to think I was crazy.

Second, as mentioned, Vet rewards are NOT about money - they are a thank you to keeping an account active.

Third, I am curious what data you have that allowing Vet rewards would amplify continual membership. You mean all those things like new content, new additions (like PC for example), new sets, etc. are less than Vet rewards in retaining players? For myself only, I played before Vet rewards, and the Vet rewards could be removed tomorrow and I would STILL play.
The Vet rewards are an incentive for sticking around. However when you look at the massive amount of years you have to get to what-ever point, and that you will never catch up, this can be even a counter-incentive.

While if they re-start a different tier of veteran rewards, they are getting double, eventually triple, or hopefully one day even quadrupedal the benefits per three months. Making a huge incentive for staying, ensuring that the game will be around for years to come.

    Yes I did actually.

If you want the vet rewards... keep youre account active... No other way...
The idea is to help attract new players and get them to keep it around, that way the game stays longer. Adding one more incentive to new players can't possibly be a bad thing now can it? Speaking from the point of a relatively new returner's point of view, I have the perspective of what an entirely new member would be looking at. Option 2 does nothing but grant an additional incentive for them to join and stick around.

They are paying for just the content with being on three months, they are not getting the game time, AND they can not get it all at once. People who stick around will still get it for free especially if they have been here from the start.
  15. Oh god people, I am trying to help City of Heroes in general. If anything cascading rewards would severely amplify continual membership.

Did any of you read them entirely, just checking? Or did you just read the tittle and have a knee jerk reaction.
  16. I am on Liberty. Perhaps my PC simply had a log-in problem, at 9 and I assumed it was down for maintenance incorrectly, because it was Thursday as per schedule, unlike right now.

So any way. I could have sworn it was down for maintenance yesterday.

They have already done what she suggested in some powers, and made the the aura effects of select abilities are only functional in PvP zones.
  18. I ask that you please read all the idea's individually, and comment on the separately please.

I had two ideas to help the coming new players with the release of Going Rogue. A similar discussion happened in another thread which got me thinking on these.

    1. Pay to Catch Up: For every 3 months they have been a member, they may pay another $10.00 (Or what ever the devs/marketing decide) to gain another 3 months advancement in their veteran rewards alone. They would probably not gain any spare time, and this would probably exclude any name changes, bonus slots, and respecifications (again up to the devs). The actual Veterans would be still getting these things for no additional cost, rewarding them still more, while this would keep people from just JUMPING up to full veteran at a cost.

    2. New Veteran System: We will have a secondary system start up, call it "Tier Two Veteran Rewards" People joining when this starts will start at square one, and also gain the original veteran rewards; however the current veteran system will stop progressing. This should probably be done every few years (maybe at this point ever 6, or whatever the devs decide), creating a new tier of vet advancement. As things progress there will be progressively greater reason to start playing City of X, and stick around, while the current older veterans are still rewarded.

    3. Somehow combine the two, by paying per 3 months in all three tiers, or by per 3 months of one tier, for additional veteran advancement.

So ether of these systems would help improve the money revenue and membership of City of X, and help the coming members not feel completely left out and with out recourse for not being here from the start.

I ask that you please read all the idea's individually and comment on the separately please.
  19. I was just wondering. They were down yesterday, and its Friday now too.

    What did I miss?

    What are they doing today?

Did they not finish yesterday, or is there some problem they are fixing?

    Nin/Nin Build

Thanks for your effort, I don't know enough about this game to critique a build though. You are right, there is almost no one here.

Wish I could help and good luck.
  21. Basically I have a Katana/Electric stalker. It is working really well, but I have no idea what to do lvl 41+

I have picked up all Katana abilities except Sting of the Wasp, and all of the electric except Grounded and Lightning Reflexes. I am a Super Speed-Haste for movement, and I have Stamina.

This is my first Villain at this level so the PPP info would be great.

I got some advice suggesting to take Leviathan Mastery, and pick up Water Sprout and Hibernate; but what is best next?

I was planing on picking up my last two electric powers Grounded and Lightning Reflexes, but I am not sure if I should go for one of the other PPP sets if that is even possible. So some info would be great!

    Thank you for the help.

I agree in general, but if things were really that bad, then why would they be selling 30 days of use for one if it was all that bad. Anyway. I think they can pull it off. It will take work, and it is up to them in the end if they really can or can not, and I think we should leave it at that.
  23. Wow a lot of info here. Still pining over it. Going to have to learn this lingo anyway.

    Thanks!
