  3. ED happened in i5 I believe, also when CoV came out, which included Masterminds. So no, MM didnt happen before ED.

Take your ball and go home. Trust me. Posting anymore before this thread dies and gets burried in about 3 days time is a dumb, dumb, DUMB idea.
  4. Purples are really only worth it on high recharge builds. Domi's for perma-dom, Invuls for perma DP, FA for faster healing flames. Granted, you could make use of some but it would mainly only help your footstomp, and pretty much none of the WP aspect.
  5. 45.3%, while over the soft cap, and with 95% DDR will be safe, sure.

Till about 3 or 4 -def attacks land on you and you wind up heading into cascade failure under 45%. If you plan on tanking the ITF I'd go higher. Don't forget, however. You'll likely have a cold or an emp or some such with you as well boosting your def. I'd say test drive it and see how comfy you feel.

Personally, my MA/SR scrapper has 48% to all, and I still have elud incase I get cascaded somehow. Just personal preference.

    Thanks guys.

edit....trying to figure out how to copy from MIds....my first time.
click export > Short forum post > Make sure to check the bottom left button of "export data chunk" and the right side selection of "official boards" thingy.

Then select copy, and then paste it here.

THAT being said, Quant's basically "hide" in with factions when khelds are included, so yes, they'll be red side.

    Don't worry, though

    This. Above all. This.
  9. My sig needs to be updated. Probably about 5 more villains than whats stated. I've got probably around 50-60 all together (including 50 and non 50)

I pretty much play my brutes though. My Fire/Invul is my baby. Billions put into him, capped to S/L with just one baddied in invince (48% actually), damage out the wazoo, all accolades....I'm usually on him a LOT. Other than that, whatever the SG is running or whatever I feel like doing. Laziness? Solo on a brute or scrapper. Feeling active? Emp. Feeling frisky....wait, nevermind that last one.

I'd NEVER tank on a /fire brute though. Thats kinda crazy. lol. Not main tank anyway. Maybe off tank but never main.

Slow and difficult are two different things. It's plenty fast against +2/x8 behemoths. Hell, I PL my lowbies with +4/x8 if I'm feeling frisky. It doesnt take too long these days with the change to burn and FE.

Using a FA to farm S/L, however, is far from safe. If you count travel time from the hospital into the +2/x8 SL farm, then sure, it's slow
  12. Quite honestly I'd go with GW or MU for an extra AoE attack instead of PP and SC for the extra end you probably won't need.

Also, I know whatcha meant but EE isnt on a 38 second cooling (cool down) but instead a 38 second down time. Just clarifying so someone who DOESNT understand what you meant doesnt blast ya

If you're gonna 6 slot taunt, I'd suggest perfect zinger instead of mocking beratement. Gives higher def with the 6th slot anyway, plus a damage boost and some extra regen (to go with rooted's). Granted, you lose a lil recharge (2.5%) but it's all how ya wanna flavor it.

Hell, if you stay with PP and SC, you could take a slot out of it, stick it in mud pots, and slot the armageddons in there. more revovery to help ya out, some extra acc and 10% more recharge time.
  13. Even 30% def to S/L on a resist based secondary will make a massive difference.
  14. my FM/Invul is by far my favorite toon I have. all HP accolades, 48% def with one baddied in invince, and awesome ST and AoE damage with the Patron powers+FSC.

Longbow, Arachnos and Malta...the 3 most annoying groups, just melt all day long without a chance to kill me.
  15. aye, play with mids. start by 4 slotting your attacks and use kinetic combats in them. expensive (unless you use A-merits) but well worth it.
  16. S/L. It covers about 98% of the attacks in the game. even 30% S/L def with your resists would make things a pushover.
  17. First thing that stands out is the apoc set gives you 15% regen (which you dont need) instead of the 4% recovery.

Actually, in looking at these builds I realized my super expensive build is still missing a purple set. The immob one. And you're all going to hell for not noticing it and rubbing it in my face.

However, it's just a trophy build and really not much else that cant be done with any build here. Flavor for your liking. If it works, it works. There's no right or wrong (I mean, there IS a wrong one and I'll be sure to point it out when I see it! Flurry, Jump kick, provoke...for instance. heh)

actually, If you arent gonna use electric fences, then pyre definitely is the way to go. a ST immob for the purple set, a range, and an AoE.
  18. The Fire melee/Dark melee argument: Sure, Fire melee does more damage, but dark melee has less CAST TIME meaning firing off more attacks in the same ammount of time.

    Here ya go:
    http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...etype.php?at=9

    I'm going out drinking. Enjoy.
  19. Why did the thought of a granite brute (or rooted) using the jackhammer emote on a curb just make me literally laugh out loud? someone needs to put up a picture of that. lol
  20. Yes they are. Soon as you hit 41 they open.

I keep RotP. Never know when those hits will all land, or healing flames just isnt up in time. Death happens.

Dropping fences will lose you another purple set.
Dropping RotP Will cost you yet another purple set. (granted, you can pick up boxing and slot it there, but that's still the same ammount of slots and a much less useful power. RotP Causes you to need to die to use, but when you need it you'll be happy you have it)

as for the proc, you could drop the acc/recharge erad for the proc. Sorry I missed that.

Dropping a power and losing that purple set, you need to make sure you can slot that set elsewhere, assuming the power you're subbing out is useful. Purple sets give you the much needed recovery for endurance and recharge for key powers,

Dropping RotP FOR weave, it's taking out the set giving you 4% recovery and 10% recharge for 7.5% recharge (-2.5% difference) and losing out on end recovery.
  21. Just gonna mention something real fast and not really answer cause I'm bias'd towards brutes.

Resist has no bearing on a DM/SD.
  22. Dont forget, Accolades help as well. A lot.
  23. Drop stealth and invis (yes, I know it's for the LotG's) and pick up Kick/Punch (and then take it out of your tray) and tough. It makes a difference to the S/L. Trust in that.

Leverage footstomp to keep them on their **** and drop burn and ball lightning when ever they're recharged.

You can probably honestly take electric fences out of your tray as well and just use it for that set mule. It was good when burn scattered the mobs to the 4 winds, but now it just negates the knockdown of footstomp. Knockdown to survive vs the damage, KD wins hands down.

Stamina - 3 slot the performance shifters for the HP bonus.
All Rocos dervish does for you is regen, which you don't need. Switch them out for eradications and use the HP bonus instead. more HP=more life you can leverage before HF is back up.

Also changed your slotting in your shieds for the HP bonus as well.

take the KB protection slot out of CJ (at 50) and put it into footstomp. (doesnt have to be the 50 slot obviously, but thats where I took it from in this build) and replace the run speed IO in SS with the Blessing of the Zephyr KB IO. That will keep you at 12, and give you the Force Feedback +Recharge proc in Footstomp, which will aid you MASSIVELY in the recharge dept.

I kept all your power selections pretty much the same save for those 2 I removed above for tough. This should work find for you. Just remember, footstomp is your friend. Dont slot for defense, as you dont have enough to stack. Footstomp IS your defense and HP is your resistance.

  24. And I just realized at 4am I use too many smilies. I do rather enjoy my 3 hours of sleep though!
  25. *grabs popcorn*

Honestly, it's been mentioned on here, and it really isnt a good idea. At all. If you want a brute that can do all that, roll an invul. Thats about the best I could tell ya.

A stone brute is 37 levels of suck and then you hit 38. Curbs still defeat you though

Hell, even without granite, rooted will slow you down enough to drive you mad, and...you guessed it. Curbs will defeat you

Invul, Kinetic Combats, soft cap it with 1 in invince, and still be able to use the space bar
