?/Invulnerability

Help me make an Invulnerable Brute! I've wanted to use this secondary for a while but can't decide how to smash. SS, both EMs, FM, and DB are all out. I'm leaning towards DM for all its tricks or KM for the shiny newness but I'd like to hear from you bloodthirsty lot before I proceed...

Invuln matches well with many different primaries. DM would give you more healing. SS gives you more... smash.
Minor nitpick- there is only one EM. Energy melee. Electric Melee is known as ElM. And with KM around now, I personally would never create another EM user...

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

Dark Melee makes /Inv really tough, with the self heal, but I highly dislike the lack of AoE damage. That's just me though. If you find yourself primarily soloing, DM is fantastic.

I am a HUGE fan of Claws, and it pairs well with Inv. Low on endurance cost, builds fury super fast, and has a great mix of AoE and single target damage.

My main character is a Stone/Inv brute, and I love him to death. Stone/Inv is not for the faint of heart, as it is rough on the endurance bar, but with good slotting, it is fantastic. EXTREMELY tough with all the knockdown effects, the hold from Seismic Smash, and of course, the insanely powerful Fault.

my FM/Invul is by far my favorite toon I have. all HP accolades, 48% def with one baddied in invince, and awesome ST and AoE damage with the Patron powers+FSC.

Longbow, Arachnos and Malta...the 3 most annoying groups, just melt all day long without a chance to kill me.

I'm aware of the convention...

But you knew what I was talking about, didnchya? And I saved myself like 4 keystrokes!

I've got it narrowed down to DM, SM, or Claws. If DM had some more AoE it'd be an easy choice but... I have played SM a bit and it's pretty beastly... Claws has spin but I dunno if it's really smashy enough for the kind of brute I have in mind.

Leaning more towards SM now, endurance be damned. There needs to be a way to turn UP screen shake instead of just on or off.

I love ElM on my stalker but I'm leery of the single target damage on other ATs. Nice dark/dark/soul guide, it reminds me of why I like my dark/dark scrapper so much.

Claws is out. Stone or Dark... They both have great mitigation, but in different ways. Dark is better for end management. Stone has better burst, dark has better dps I think. Looking at mids and the activation times for stone don't seem as bad as I remember them, actually pretty good...

My Elec/Invul is pretty high on damage. Not the best, but high, especially when Fury gets going. Good AoE too. Dark will give you some fantastic single target output, and good multi-target if you get good with arranging yourself for Shadow Maul's cone. As a strong advocate of Dark, I'll recommend that over Stone, especially for the heal, fear, -ToHit and +End.

I am boring and made a ss/inv brute recently, my first /inv brute ever! I imagine it goes great with claws, too, but then again everything goes great with claws
