I tried an electricity blaster. I just lacked the patience to get it to a high enough level to do anything useful. Draining endurance sounds great but that didn't seem to affect most mobs at all and the damage done by electricity seemed miniscule compared to other blaster sets. That was a couple of years ago though, maybe things have improved since then.

Problem is that when you get to higher levels, almost every arc has an EB or sometimes more than one. Fine for your average melee type and some controllers, not quite so funny for your support character trying to get some arcs out of the way because while everybody wants you on their team, they only want to do their own missions... I'd support a no ED option even if it meant lesser rewards, I like my squishies but some things are next to impossible for them.

Why the rush?

Desperate for a disappointing epic AT maybe... -
I can't see anything wrong with allowing transfers between toon on an account. There are other ways to do it so having a policy in place pretending it won't happen is pointless. On the other hand, if it would divert resources away from more important things like bug fixes...

My advice come to the boards listen to the people that care and ignore the people that think they matter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Problem is that the people who care are often put down as whiners by the people that think they matter. As a result, a lot of people just give up on the forums so it's hard to say the forums are representative of the user base. -

You had GW on your side, and you RAN?!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
Did I neglect to mention that Ghost Widow had stayed behind in the room I found her in and I was down to a sliver of health after one blast from that damn EB after the bubble he put me in wore off?
[/ QUOTE ]
So? You retreat, plan, preper, and either take out the EB or avoid it.
Reason for dropping mission: it was challenging.
[/ QUOTE ]
It may have been challenging for Mr Miraculous. I thought it was impossible, hence I dropped it. A +4 EB that sees through hide and does knockback with every hit on the lowest difficulty setting is just a little ridiculous. -
Ok, I'll have the 7th then...it's been particularly bad today. Also had a log of rubberbanding in missions today - which I rarely get.

at the end of the day, it's not like elitism is some sort of major problem
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to agree with that, to be honest in the four years I've been here I have yet to meet an 'elitist' in the game. I've come across some crass idiots who I've promptly ignored but never come across anyone who lorded it over the others in that way. -

Just dropped one as a prime example where a dialog would be useful to the devs - maybe...
Was soloing my lvl 36 stalker, had to rescue Ghost Widow from some rampaging longbow. A longbow EB duly appeared. As soon as I saw that EB I ran for it and abandoned the mission. I didn't even bother to try soloing a level 40 EB. -

Having explained a point such as Anchoring to a team, then have them repeatedly kill the anchor.
[/ QUOTE ]
What do you expect, you marked the anchor for special attention with an aura!
Seriously, some people forget that they were new once as well. Thankfully such people are few and far between and once you've met them there are sufficient tools available for avoiding them in the future... -

Or, it might be because pets dont like Oil slick and tend to go crazy if they have to enter it. Tried a Ninja/TA and had no choice but to respec out of Oil slick, the by far best power in the set...
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a major problem and I'm amazed they haven't fixed it yet. It's not only masterminds pets that are affected by this, any pet runs a mile from a burning oil slick. My controller had a fun time with her imps scattered to the four (well ok, three) winds every time an oil slick appeared. -
While we're discussing the mission teleporter I'd like to see it target the mission you last received unless you have selected another one. I don't usually 'select' a mission when I'm solo and I've lost count of the number of times I've received a new mission then been teleported to the first mission in the list rather than the one I wanted.
-
I'd like to see teleport powers disabled in Pocked D rather than just suppressed. I forgot they couldn't be used there last night and tried to use the mission teleporter. The thing fired but of course nothing happened. The power was then useless for two hours. These things need to be made foolproof for those of us who are distracted (or worse)...
-
Seems to come and go, last night we had some very good runs followed by a lot of rubberbanding in missions then it was fine again. Since we all experienced it at the same time it's a reasonable assumption that it was at the server end or a bit of network close to it.

eh? My axe was never broken.
[/ QUOTE ]
We went through a patch where there was no animation on the axe for a lot of players. Think it worked properly for those using shields. I just got used to it but I think it works prooperly now, can't say exactly when the thing started animating properly though. -
I wish they could have done a better job on that one, the building isn't too hard to find bearing in mind it's in the middle of town unlike the City Hall on the heroes side. It's a massive one in Port Oakes but the door looks just like all the rest and you can run around like a headless chicken clicking on doors for ages till you find the right one.

I noticed that there's only one university on villains, but three on heroes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds about right to me to be honest - there's over 20 zones on heroes but only 7 on villians. They have a tough time keeping the university's open on the red side because the villians keep burning the books. -
Personally I can't understand why a super hero or a super villian would be slumming it in a train or dirty old ferry anyway...

A lot of things to do with clicks seem a bit dodgy. It frequently takes multiple attempts to get the auction houses to acknowledge clicks, takes multiple attempts to close some dialog boxes, takes multiple attempts to get the cursor to actually sit in a text field so it can be edited. Something just doesn't feel right at the moment.

Villainside: Stalkers. Sorry, they just don't sound like fun. They suffer from the "I don't like melee-based toons" thing, and a character whose entire concept is based around stealthily moving just doesn't really appeal.
[/ QUOTE ]
They make decent enough scrappers in the higher levels, it's just getting there.
The stealth/hide thing is a major pain actually. It's the only real advantage a stalker gets and it's completely worthless in 95% of a mayhem mission where almost every thing ambushes you. There are also a large number of normal missions which start and end with ambushes these days and those see right through hide as well. If you can't scrap your way out of the ambushes you're dead. -

when I see a thread start turning into a whine-fest
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, when does a thread start becoming a whine-fest? When it covers things that you don't personally agree with?
If lots of people are saying one thing and you're saying something different, maybe it's time to sit up and listen. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's bad enough they are upsetting players by removing the ability to get it, you're suggesting that they annoy more of them as well?
The whole thing is stupid, why compound the error.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, once they realised the error they should have just put their hands up and left it alone. It's only a badge, it's not exactly game breaking but stopping anyone else getting it merely means that people have no chance of catching up with badge hunters who were lucky enough to get it early. It's like playing football, the opposition scores then promptly takes their goal away so you have no chance. -
hehe the default is for a screenshot to hide the user interface components. You can override that in the options. Oh well, we'll just have to assume it was a debuff or a lost shield or something unless it happens again
