  1. I have a telecine setup if you want a better copy of it.
  2. I have an ice/dark who is a ton of fun to play altho a bit weak on the endurance. Waiting till I19 to run him more, seeing if inherent stamina helps.
  3. It would not be hard to push the Outcasts to that. For instance, their face-offs against the Tsoo, modify the conversations to be like "You guys aren't wanted here" or some such. Also the Sky Raiders could be pushed that way.
  4. On another thread, we talked about a way to semi-redo the older content:

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=243232

The idea we had was to use AE to re-create the arcs, modernizing them. If you're serious, why not join the effort? The devs don't have the manpower to redeux old content, but we do.

Definitely needs the animated wolf tail.

As to why he's here, well Garou hate the forces of the Wyrm with a passion and I could easily see a werewolf doimg everything in his power to destroy the Council/5th column because of the way they create Vampires and Warwolves. Those abominations being the epitomy of evil to the true wererwolf species.
This guy being a stalker fits more with a Philodox member of the Shadow Lords, with the Broadsword def fitting with a Klaive.

A dark and brooding plotter, who strikes from behind to kill the enemy of his lord.

I'd keep the monsterous legs, but add pants rather than fur, to better cover that he changes from human to wolf. (and yes, I'd add a human "costume" along with an in-between form as well)

If he is Magic, it would be a curse, or that he was born with the natural ability but was unaware until the day he changed. Immediately isolated from society, he embraces his destiny, never to be Lord, but to play Kingmaker.
  7. Well, the Test client is downloading something big. I was playing on it a week ago, so I know it was relatively up to date.
  8. Note, movies play at 24 frames per second. TV plays at 30 frames per second, but interlaced which means that it only shows half of a frame at a time.

35mm theatres are still my preference.
  9. I run a Mind/FF, and yes, I do PvP him some. Mind is woefully underrepresented, and is quite powerful if in the right hands.

Me too. Get a group of us willing to do it for credit, get another group as testers/QA, and call it unpaid internships. Heck, I'd be more than willing to do it using AE first, so that no proprietory NCSoft information is risked. Divide them among those of us willing to do it, and let's do it!

Heck, we *can* do it now, using AE. Why not list the arcs in their own thread, and each of us grab one and AE it?

I just heard of this and joined N P C. Been here since I6, and I loved running with newcomers as it is to show them the ropes.

However, then I picked up two for two friends at the Boston Meet and Greet.
They still had a few of those Hero Kit boxes for sale.
$20 for the code, the hero clix, the map and all... Including the month's subscription.

I am just mentioning this for two reasons...

One, don't say "never"... there are ways and chances...

Two, there is zero reason why they shouldn't offer these (just the in-game rewards, if they like) as $10 boosters, just like the GvE pack.

If I ever run into anything, I'll send you a PM, Flashrains, hehe.
Between Paypal and/or good faith, hopefully you can get these somehow... Beyond that... I hope they open them up for people to get somehow.

And... I hope we can color customize the prestige slide some day... (Haha... what? I had to say it!!)

I just really don't think that is true. Considering they released those Complete Hero Kit boxes with left over collector's edition stuff and you can still get your hands on them... I'm not sure it's an issue of that at all.
Also, I don't think there is a chance at all that any such case could be made.
Having something before anyone else could have otherwise is exclusivity.
I think that that idea is a very negative stretch. I understand that companies need to protect themselves, but I don't truly believe this one is a valid concern (Or even a concern of theirs at all... although, I can't explain why they wouldn't have made them add-on packs yet, so... who knows!)
You never know. I found two Collectors Ed CoH at our local Big Lots about two years back. So odd things like that happens.
  13. Natural is martial arts, training, military, alien, inherent abilities... it is actually the most diverse of the origins in my viewpoint. The auras is more a case of "what can we add which may fit?"

It did take her 3 tries with 3 different doctors until she finally figured out the answers to the questions the Dr was looking for to make the diagnosis. She has not made any effort in the last 6 years to even apply for a job because she claims it gives her a panic attack. All she should get is enough to keep her from starving and a enough to keep a roof over her head. Yet she still complains about never having enough money. To me (and hopefully the majority of others), that is not a problem that needs to be fixed by others just because she is complaining about it.
After my wife suffered from NTSD after having a gun shoved in her back in a bank robbery while she was 7 months pregnant, I don't ridicule nor presume with mental issues. You are right, she is the only one able to solve her issue. However, not everyone is able to see that, no matter how many times you show them. Something I learned, however, is that the moment you try and push someone with a disorder, you lock them out and will never help them.

Which brings us back to the issue of endurance. While inherent stamina is one solution, one that several people do not agree with, I find it at least an acceptable solution. It frees up slots I'd otherwise skip, and gives a chance to further adjust once everyone is on the same playing field.

Mines at 27, the ITF is sooooo close. Tired of looking at his temp costume.
  16. I run a Mind/Psi/Soul w/o stamina, but he does have Health.
  17. When someone else suggested this awhile back, I made a natural ill/emp, and yes, he is a totally nonviolent person. His thing is pumping up his allies with steroids, medical nanites, surgical repair, and in releasing hallucinagenic chemicals onto the enemies. His name? Why, MK Ultra.... named after the CIA's top secret LCD experiments in the 1950's.

Go zombies/pain. And be a pacifist who's assailed by a horde of zombies that feed on his pain. The zombies have realized that it causes you pain to see other people get hurt, and so go around hurting anyone who happens to get close to you. When the pain gets too much, you shoot out waves of pain that the zombies feed on (i.e. get healed) and sometimes you let out a pained screamed asking for the zombies to stop, that paradoxically only makes them kill faster (resistance debuffing).

Make a bind for the cowering emote, so you always have it at hand.
Modify this for demon summoning, demons more fit this than zombies.

You're right, it doesn't address the problem I see, but it addresses some of it. That is, using my idea, lower AND higher level characters would be less hindered by endurance woes (accomplishing the same thing the inherent Fitness does, and more), while also allowing endurance management in general to become less debilitating (by having Stamina in addition to the global boost).

In any case, I don't see either happening. I just wanted to put the idea out there.
Your particular approach is complex and time consuming to implement. A quick and dirty method to achieve the same results would be to add in an endurance modifier, similar to how damage modifiers are handled. Of course as I say this, brutes everywhere scream out in pain but are quickly silences as they run out of endurance.
  20. Some really awesome costumes. Was on Liberty, and Champion. Did not win, but fully agree on the winners for both.
  21. So when will the info on the alt animations come out?

BAM! KRAKADOOM! is impolite to the other players, despite urgent r/l reasons. Putting a team together ranges from moderately irksome to outright tiresome, in any case, & is something I only do if I have plenty of thumb-twiddling time on my hands. So, as opposed to many players, I have no toons who are anywhere near "God" level; at higher levels, it takes forever to go up doing solo missions, especially as I rotate my play-time for each toon.
Slight aside, I have a group I team with, and we all have the same situation. I mean that we have children, several with infants, and often times do need to drop out and back in quite regularly. My 8 year old son even joins us, and he often times has to leave due to forgetting homework, and such. We've built up a routine that we know how to cover for each other, and can handle it even we have half of the team out due to children issues. I've even built toons just to be able to be used as bots, just for those occasions when I cannot guarantee full access. (healbots, tauntbots, buffbots, etc)
  23. If they go darker, and replace the director with someone who understands that GR is *not* a kid-friendly character, then maybe. Then again, I like Daredevil, finding it a comforting mirror to the "Friendly neighborhood Spiderman".

GR needs to be more damning, less jokes. The directors cut was indeed a dramatic improvement, with the reduced effects.
