So DEV will we see a change in Siphon Power .
Cause currently its a lesser build up , that gives higher damage after 8 second , with a IO set Hasten Temp mutation power can be made near perma .
But even near perma is total ******** .
Sadly cause it only works with kinetic powers .
So too many limitation too much imaginations .
Well i can invest that imagination to make brawl a super killer power if all 3 damage io can procs all the TIME !!!
And its way easier to reach then SP socalled near perma status . -

Sorry but Pretoria is way tougher to level solo then anything i have played before .
Its not that brute is flawed , it seems like they just want you to start using IO DO when they become available .
TO hardly cut it anymore at level 12+ still doable , but the incoming damage is way higher then old classic COH or COV .
Most of the oppenents use fully powers that are anoying if you dont have status protection.
Stuns Knockback/Down , endurance drain , Pyschic attacks are more normal .
ETC ETC ...
This has nothing to do with the brute class it self , yes partly it feels slower the brutes but its cause of the mobs changes are a lot tougher then classic .
But fury able to be maintained at 100-150% without the bigger decay . means you dont need to see a full bar .
The decay rate slow down means you are almost always operating at 50% damage in no time .
The rest of the post sadly yes , once i am done with the story arcs (and they are really wonderfull written) i will see again drop in people .
So just enjoy the months , the arcs are really nice written and mature choices i didn´t expect before .

Market is ruined for new people to even start using especially now since emails means , people like me dont even have to bother with the market .
Means very few of the new people will stick . even the old ones who return will be envious or feel way left behind .
The balance is simply set on keeping people playing like any other MMO time versus money issue . and hoping that there are more supporters of the game .

850% to 775% is the only real nerf to brutes .
But understandable with cross over , who the heck wants a scrapper aside from BS/SD
Sorry that change is 100% understandable gives the scrapper there top damage back not based on luck .

Sorry brutes are now more then fine with bigger allowance for choices of first tier or 2nd tier powers . that coupled with brawl on auto .
Sorry the change makes shadow maul or other so called dump it powers on brute more viable.
So whats wrong with having more viable powers then straight forward you NEED this brute build nothing else !! -
Animations : good but again will wear out fast .
Damage: Average like all new set releases so consistent with all new sets released or nerfed old sets.
Specialty: Siphon power WTF >.< waste of coding time atleast IO enhancement are done well .
But honestly not to sound negative , you got a range melee set combo .
That doesnt shine in anything particular . is it playable yup .
Is it fun ? Sure some people had fun with 2 dual pistols animation for ages on MM
Problem with KM
No special TIER 9 No special or cool mid tier powers .
MiD tier i mean syphon life , Focus , Knockout Blow ,
Fix Siphon Power into 50 second-1 min lasting time doesnt matter if its then 50% damage boost instead of 125%for 3-8 seconds it still wont beat Rage on SS , but gives a KM atleast as standalone something worthwhile
If the set has to be mediocre of everything thats suppose to be cool .
Then give it atleast a mediocre RAGE . -

Thats a no goal in progress . if it brings in new players fine . one of the success stories of mmo is the raise in levels .
If they going to give us free powers without us having the need to level up just log in .
Then we will be bored in no time .
People here have zillions of alts , and every alt 10 levels up is paid time playing .
Would be silly not to raise levels for money sake ,sorry money talks and ******** walks .
You can´t run a game on good intentions alone .
Well my speculation is on 10 more levels or atleast 5 , so we all enter the level race again .
the rest is up to them to decide what they want to do .
But holding onto 50 will be funny since some people have 10 toons at 50 , wouldn´t offer anything but a quick respec , and quick boredom again .
Even if switching sides will be fun , there isn´t much that you can do after a while .
10 more levels ads new combinations and is more time consuming .
Thats what people pay for in the end , no matter the whines to keep them bussy . -

Ok since Je saist is asking , and i missed it , i playing on XPS dell customised lapbook . that has 9700M gtx inside . so one of the first XPS runs released in europe .
So basically how old is it ?
So it isn´t state of the art anymore after how many years ?
When you were running 1900x 1200 was doing the same back then .
Now so what do you define as state of the art a computer thats bought last 3 months ?

Even the levels along gives us example without a complet incarnate system 2 powers 9 times 3 slots 18 more slots .
Its on the min maxing front huge since it means lot more flexibility in slotting IO and thus increase power per toon .
Thus progress see some more things to do .
But think they will introduce powers just to fill those slots with mandatory stuff .
Oh btw i am not on the beta or alpha and dont have nda signed and all this is just speculation before some GM bugs me again . neither will i do betas or alphas anymore cause i dont get paid to play . i pay to play and have fun my way .

IMO GR will disappoint. It seems like it is a lot more of what we already have. From the signature characters to the 'alternate versions' of factions/enemies etc. I bet the mission type will be the same with a lot of the same, OLD crummy maps used again and again.
I don't think these devs quite get it but c'est la vie. I am waiting for the GR release and then decide if I jump ship or not.

Thats new for this GR , we get finally a level cap raising , so its not the end finally .
Yes once we hit the cap again , we repeat into our own old fashion of playing .
That alone can bring back a lot of people , cause finally you get progress instead of endless farming or alt leveling or whatever we all do every day .
But then again seems people who really dont play mmo anymore , wont come back either way . those who do play mmo , usually have mutlple accounts running across mmos.
Well its a way for NCSOFT to earn some money on the excisting accounts cause of the level cap raise and incarnate system .
But the real question is how many new faces is the game going to bring ?, or how many old faces will it bring back ?
Thats what matters . the rest is just going to the same old story again . -

I can switch to my raid wow comp who is even more state of the art 64 bit .
But bet you it wont run well on everything max out .
I know graphics update was forthcoming . but when 95% couldn´t even play on maximum aegix PHX enhanced bloom out whatever maxout before ultra mode without having sever lag.
So the graphics were out of reach for most people already , why make a ultra mode , thats designed for the less then 5 % ?
Sorry this is one of the issue , you dont make a game for the 1% of the market .
Especially when the game is selective number , yes we need graphic update for GR .
But when you select hell yes by accident you are stuck with the hell yes .
And who wants to think there comp is a old bucket , most aren´t even tech specialist when they buy a comp in the store , they think its state of the art . when its already outdated by 3 months . -

I dont bother with it , i just downtune the 2nd window to minimal graphics , and run the first one on performance or high .
That usually solves the 1 pc multibox issue .
But somebody can help you with that -graphics setting . on your shortcut . -
Well i can only talk about european server , sure its not as bussy as it used to be pre I6 .
But then again its not quite as dead anymore compared to last year .
Just its more new players have to have luck in running into the old friendly kind .
IF you are really worried and want to do something you can always go around helping .

But its not that its not growing strong , i think most people who still play in europe have 1-3 accounts nowadays . so subscription numbers dont say anything .

Same applies to WOW dont forget they say they have 11 million subscribers .
Doesn´t mean there are 11 million people playing it . maybe 7 tops (Thats a optimistic view consider some people have bought 5 accounts in wow and not counting the goldfarmers multi accounts must be around a million or so )
I must say the game is beter then before , where the XP was a grind fest .
There were hardly TF/SF and there were no IO to kit out .
The population is sadly the problem most became jaded .
And the economy is out of control for new people to catch up on (that issue is luckily solved with reward merits)
But in all this game has damn a lot to do , Bases to build (And everybody with 2 accounts can make there own base in no time ) Architect Entertainement , Oroboros .
Black Market , Inventions .
You can be quite bussy for a long time and where in the hell do you find a game that has this much to do ?
Maybe thats also the downfall , cause too much to do when you are new can sometimes overwhelm people .

Hurray atleast bosses no longer runaway , once you pop a shot at them ..
during escape missions .
Not as fun as it used to be beating it to half health and chasing it .

Infact 1 merit on some Arcs contact never heard anybody moan about that when it previously gave 11 .
And anyway we can fix the costume bugs its a QoL issue .amd contact pictures loading time . -

I'm curious to hear which AT can handle EB's without some inpiration help at lower levels (prior to 30 let's say)? Maybe Scrappers and Brutes? Why not SoA?
Oh btw? Does Infernal and Caly have a Defense Debuff attack? Maybe the Ballista has some Longbow hanging around but they get to die first (if you know what you're doing).
All's I said is that in my experience SoA's seem to be very well-rounded AT's (after lvl 24 mostly) and actually had an easier go of it vs EB's compared to other Villain AT's.
YMMV.
What AT can handle EB without some inspirations , is not the same as having to use bucket load of inspirations . So 1 inspi like you called woot , last 2 min .
Lets talk about your DPS versus There HP and there semi reset function .
So 1 purple turns into 2 , turns into 3 oh wait lets pop a red lets pop a health cause of lucky hit . now fine those are normal kills .
I can give you that , but what brawler did to me was having me to go hunt for selective inspirations . almost like soloing a AV in the old days .
This is from a mission thats given to all Soldiers .

Since depending on your team makeup this game is about players who understand it .
And depending on the difficulty setting its more who are willing to do work .
And who are the runners .
You have a team of 8 and 6 of them run at half health . instead of popping inspiration.
Boy the last 2 who fight wish they had a healer, or one of them is a healer .
You have a team of 8 and nobody run , who cares about a healer who cares about a tank .
Everything dies fast enough since players are skilled enough .
And hardly go down in team settings . and if they do they just selfdestruct for no debt. -

My common IO'd Fortuna, running lvl 35 IO's, solo'd every EB all the way up with very few deaths unlike some other AT's.
The OP is just looking for an argument methinks, SoA's seem fairly well rounded and in the hands of an experienced player can fill many roles on a team while being able to solo most content.

So on your road solo to 30 how many EB did you encounter , and i am not talking about aeon clones or the 10-20 range .

Well its depending really on the toon and what you want .
Look all benefit from Numina Regen , all benefit from Kismet accuracy . all benefit from performance shifter +end (in stamina or other selfhit recovery) all benefit from mircale + recovery (there is never a too much recovery rate )
Not all benefit from steadfast protection/defense . or regeneration .
See the small numbers that those io gives , if you are not going to past the 22.5% def . or certain number of hp regeneration
From there on you can decide what you really want to do , or are coming short .
The io originally was meant to be replacing stamina hasten needs , infact what they did do is just makes certain powers even more requirement .
All people need example a certain power called health to slot in certain IO´s
Or defense to slot in certain IO´s
Now am keeping it simple without applying bonus from 2 slots -4 slots .
Those in return when 5x stack or 15 x( so example 2% damage 2.5% damage 3% damage) stack , provides even a greater magnitude to the puzzle .
The current problem is that min max value you have to look at 2 pieces bonus -4 pieces bonus and what you trade in , so if 4 piece bonus and 5th to bring stuff back to optimal .
so for damage powers it equels 2x ACC and 3x Damage + bonus its a win .
if the bonus is less then 1 acc 1.5 damage , then its a lost and not worth slotting for .
Unless you are going for a certain global hardcap and the damage power is just a filler .
The issue with the new IO system its great for people who know what they are doing .
But its a bit borked for people who dont or newbies . and sadly the tool tip .
You dont have to worry about inventions no longer apply . instead it should say you dont have to worry about AE :P -
Well max ACC you can get is 1.9 if the combat status window is correct . wont past 1.9 ACC then its hardcapped .
(pop yellows and show ACC to see the result)
Other side whats the fascination of people slotting so much ACC into powers especially earlier on , teaming its beter to get Tohit (So leadership skills) and a kismet+6% to hit .
Nowadays with auto exemp , even 1 ACC SO garantees around 50% hit on a purple (not like old days where it was around 10%)
Solo dont bite more off then you can chew . too high levels xp is not worth the kill rate of slotting more ACC at cost of damage and kill speed .
Combat training offensive serves one purpose its tohit debuff resistance .
So if you like fighting a lot of COT missions that power works wonders .
And cheap too one slot is all it needs -
Never mind it seems DDR all across the board are getting nerfed .
Just hope they wont go back to making DEF useless again .
So in that respect of DDR nerfing , SOA dont need DDR anymore .
So i guess my 33% would be then in the new light a 3.3% DDR hardly worth it .
I guess the new fix is IO that brings DDR .
