neat. I just started reading through the 80s run by Moore.

due to the 10% fee you need to sell at 111% of cost to make any profit. Thats the lowest you can list for and come out ahead. Most people dont take such a hit on profits, but I will, and generally dont have issues with lowballers. I also dont do purples currently.
-
brute vs tank all depends on what you want to do while teamed. The two ATs are pretty similar to solo with, brutes are just faster.
FA is good for a farm brute but I wouldnt want to try and rely on it for teaming. FA on a tank works better for surviving. -
i havent looked at purples in a long time - but my best guess is between 400 and 700 million going rate.

Quote:Why care about prices if you can make 2.5 billion a week? Here is a secret : you don't need purples or pvp IOs. The most expensive things outside of those two groups typically sits at 200 million.
I know how to make money, I know how to make lots of money. I just don't like ONE purchase wiping out almost HALF the MAX amount of money ONE toon can carry. THat's just... stupid. -
Everything fluctuates over time.
Also my sig is sarcasm, I regularly teach people how to use the market, alignment merits and AE to avoid MMO poverty. -
No. The Crazy 88's. Issue 9 was a long time ago bud.
-
Also about aegis: if the crafted price is 40 million then the recipe cost is probably cheaper : stop being lazy and craft it yourself.

Cully the problem is the buyers and not the sellers. If Joe Shmo can make influence to the tune of 1 billion a week, why would he care if he spends 100k for a luck charm?
I regularly pay 75k-150k for common salvage simply so i dont have to wait on it. Influence rains from the skies practically so why not spend it on what I want to ? -
Quote:Because I do volume selling - I'll often list at 1.13x the total cost, which sometimes means under 10 million for a 20 million 'going rate' IO. I'm hyper aggressive like that but I also sell 50-200 IOs a day.By the way, it's appalling how low you can list and still get the "standard price". If the standard price is 20 million, you can often list at 15,001,908 and sell for 20 million. (I think Enyalios sometimes goes as low as 13 million and still gets sales for 20 million. I myself do not.)
However, if you list for 15,001,908 you have to be willing to accept the possibility that someone will pay 15,001,909 for your item. Never list below what you're willing to actually sell for.
EDIT: "Standard price" makes it sound a lot more stable than it is. Standard price can go up or down by 10 million over the course of a week. Standard price can collapse from, e.g. 65 million to 40 million and stay there for a month and counting. I wasn't heavily into Regenerative Tissue: Regeneration but it went from 100 million+ to 20-25 million over the course of a month. Seller beware. -
Farmers are necessary to an MMO economy. Quality farmers are the ones that generate the goods that people want to buy AND they also sell things at reasonable prices ( because if they don't then their market interface is clogged with stuff that wont sell).
As for expensive items that keep increasing in price : inflation + scarcity = increasingly expensive goods. There is nothing you can do to change this fact without adding new influence sinks into the game. You can circumvent the issue using alignment merits. -
Yes we started the next project on freedom. Currently at 52 million prestige when I logged off today.

I generally just do volume crafting 20-30 bids on a given recipe at the beginning of the week and ill throw 10 more up once the first 10 sell. I dont really hunt for high profit niches and I avoid high cost purples or pvp IOs. I also dont go out of my way to try and raise prices since it so often backfires. In fact I generally list things at around half the going rate for my 5-20m cost niches.

I like to use either 2 mako's bite for enhancement value or 2 pounding slugfest for +regen depending on my build goals.
-
IMO the new mobs are horribly over powered if you arent rolling out with a high buff team. They seem gears to negate IO set bonuses for defense, regen and recharge, which also makes them instantly worse for SO based toons.

Going full throttle I earned 100b in 5 months, or 20b a month. Currently I'm at maybe half mass just to keep the top spot on guardian and save up some inf. for issue 20's costs.
My next solo project is to create as many 2b bids on glad procs as I can, but I imagine I'll still have some funds to throw at whatever cause we take up. My vote goes to taking over all the servers. -
if you craft and sell most of the things you've listed you'd net a good bit more influence.
Alternately you can buy Rectified Recticle recipes to craft/sell at 1 AM, or save up for a lotg.
The rolls will eventually even out to worse gains than specific buys. -
Rage is simple. +80% damage and 20% tohit for 120 seconds then 10 seconds of -10k% damage and -20% defense combined with an endurance crash (20 end IIRC).
If you stack rage the -def generally does not happen.
AAO on a tank when you are surrounded gives something like 65% damage buff going from memory. 80(rage)+65(AAO)+95(enhancements) = 240% +damage which is only 60% shy of the 300% cap for tanks. If you double stack rage (use 3 recharge IOs plus hasten or IO set bonuses) you avoid the -def and hit the 300% damage cap pretty often. -
Realistically a few more price points would be nice: median over last 7 days, median over last month and median over last 6 months. This could serve to stabilize prices in a more long term manner.

I sell all 3 pieces at 30m-100m multiple times a week. These things are awesome!
