  2. Thank you, Positron. For leading us on a grand adventure. For giving me wings and letting me fly my imagination into expanding horizons.

(With a side thanks to my siblings. Because of my love for them I joined this game. And because of their love for me they've put up with my unquenchable excitement to talk about City Of Heroes every time I visited over the past eight years.)

Thank you all, Paragon Studios. It takes immense courage to share your stories, memories, and dreams one more time in farewell and hope that they will be received with care and respect.

You have my respect, good sirs and madams. May this somehow be a case where the window has closed but a new door opens. A turning point for making something magnitudes more magnificent then was ever possible before now.

Fair dreams and happy flights, my friends.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
  3. Thank you, Steelclaw, for once again expressing emotions by profoundly crafted words.

And thank you, Paragon Studios, for sharing with us an experience we've felt so deeply it will impact and empower us for good throughout our lives.

*big hug* Bless you, Zwillinger, for doing this!

It astounds me that when your life has dropped out from under you and the rest of Paragon Studios more than any of us players, your first thought it still to make the gaming community as great as possible for as long as possible.

    *more hugs*

  5. Introducing Nadirance's first snapshot.

Yeah, I neither knew neither how to take screenshots to feature the costume nor how to make dynamic costumes worth featuring. Surely only in my mind did this elf wear rough animal leather.
  6. Well, Noma and Malik just told me:

So looks like my main has been on the equivalent of over 4.5 solid months, averaging 1.8 hours per login. Not bad for 7.5 years of activity on Dynexus, with plenty of time for many alts before and after.

And the best compliment I can give City Of Heroes: I would gladly do it all again.
  7. So I've been going down memory lane by rewatching your videos, Samuraiko. Wow, I admire you all over again! Your love for the game is obvious. Your creativity with the presentations is astounding.

Wanted to give an extra KUDOS for the "Avatar: CoH Style!" video. It still is my favorite with its showcasing the variety, fun, and outright silliness that makes up City Of Heroes.

Thanks to the time I got to spend with you personally in-game, coupled with your videos to rewatch again and again, City Of Heroes will always be bright in my memory.

*hugs* Oh, so understood. Me too.

Every time I look at the Paragon Studios picture of them raising one last toast, or even thinking about that picture and all the love and devotion and memories it represents, I cry all over again.

It's a love and devotion shared by this amazing community. Of which you and your talents shined as one it the brightest stars, Samuraiko.

Making your movie memories will bring even more tears of sorrow.

Then we'll all watch your tributes one more time, and together will cry tears of gratitude for the blessing of being able to share these experiences.

    *more hugs*

    To all of you...

    Zwillinger,

Last winter I spent 6.5 years of accumulated in-game inf at a PERC bidding event to get to claim 2 hours of your playtime. Just to run some casual BAF iTrials and, more importantly, show you how much I valued you as a community manager.

Always remember how amazing you are, Zwillinger. You are one of the best community reps EVER!

*HUGS!* Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So long and thanks for all the Spreadsheets...
    And Amen.

    Thank you, Steelclaw. *hug*

City of Heroes has been a lifeline for me during some really rough times over the last 8 years. It's a place to play, unwind, argue with Math Smarties, and have fun. This game is the best of its kind. Good luck, and please post on your blogs, linkedIn pages and elsewhere where you wind up. If you're on the game, I'll know it's quality!
    Amen.

Thank you for saying what I'm too shocked to think of, much less say gracefully. Yet obe more example of why this community is great.

    Thank you, EvilGeko.

    Thank you, Paragon Studios Team.

Thank you, all my friends of eight good years.

  12. While not really level-50 worthy, the only thing I could think up was another nightgown.

    Safe sleep, Kitten Dreams!
  13. So glad to hear you are safe, Luna! *hugs back*

    Looking forward to next week!
  14. We really missed you tonight, Luna. Sorry that you lost electricity, and hope you are safe.

Mr. E stepped up as league leader to get us going.

Zap lead our team, with Scataloni holding the star to bump our levels up to 50. It's was a pretty good run tonight ...

... but by the end at 1:58:00 I was pretty worn out, and I wasn't alone. We didn't track defeats, which was just as well because only Knight'Hawk claimed to have NOT faceplanted at least once.

Still, after tonight I think my conclusion is that zero defeats means everyone was at peak performance, while uncountable defeats means everyone was having too much fun to play it safe.

Thanks for letting me join the Shadow Shard Task Force fun, Freedom Horde. ;->
  15. The Mastermind binds master has spoken.

    /em bow to Sandolphan

    Thank you for education, Sandolphan!

Also thanks and thanks again. Because of your binds, in the short months I've played Masterminds they have threatened to debunk Controllers as my favorite AT. I've a Beast/Pain MM who's surprised me by already getting over 47 levels of fun. (I usually burn out on an alt while early-20s.) They are so fun that I also started a Bots/FF and then a Demon/Thermal pair of alts, both already over level 26 within a few weeks.

Once more, thanks Sandolphan for turning the most challenging AT into the most fun!

*scratches head* Well, I can't see anything obvious.

Looking at Sandolphan's original post, I do notice one difference:

petcom_pow is used when the command does NOT have quotes, such as in the Wolves.txt file

petcompow (no underscore) is used when the command DOES have quotes, such as in the bind section

One other possible troubleshooting is to put petcom_pow Battle Aggressive before petcom_pow Assault Aggressive as in

    numpad4 "petcom_pow Battle Aggressive$$petcom_pow Assault Aggressive$$local ...Fire! At! Will!"

and see if that only affects the Assault Bots. If so, then that command line is only affecting the last pet in the string. I know that when trying to use two power commands in the same bind that only the last one actually gets executed.

Wait, one more thing... Try adding a second "L" in lctrl as in

    lctrl+numpad1 "bind_load_file C:\CoX_binds\Robot.Battle.txt$$em stop$$local All drones...!"

Anyone care to help me debug?
Just a guess, but the game may not handle the + symbol well. Have you tried using a file name without symbols or spaces?
  19. Team E did pretty good!

At 0:54:42 we finished within the time limit, and only had a few defeats. Not bad for a respec!

Thanks for the great fun, Freedom Horde. ;->
  20. Really been enjoying these flavor pieces. Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to the rest of the story!
  21. Some images from tonight's Captain Mako Week Event on Freedom. (Click on images for full size.)

My best aerial shot. Someone has been feeding Superdine to Lusca and friends.

This was my favorite shot. It felt like going through a deep ocean forest while hunting out Lusca's head.

The hardest enemy of the night? This single tentacle. While it was easy to Tab-target, it couldn't be hit be hit because it was IN the ship.

Pictures of Mako? Sorry, never saw him.

Sounds like a similar method, different madness.

Trackers unite! Or in our case: Spreadsheets compile!
  23. Niiiiiice!

I have gradually grown into using a solo SG base storage, a crafting alt, setting "completed" goals, and fully recording a build (including where each power is slotted in the powertrays)... but am only a tenth as epic as you.

Bravo on your newest incarnation of Tournament, version 2.02, Steelclaw! May it allow you to fulfill many more hours of fun gametime.

Now I want to run that version of Admiral Sutter Task Force!
  25. Team Zap did amazing!

A time of 1:13:54 with ZERO defeats! Team Transports and Leap-Frog Tanking were the special features of the night.

Thanks for the great fun, Freedom Horde!
