Is this a Heroes only event? Me and my friends are mainly playing Villains and I've already come across a couple of things that we were unable to join because of that.

P.S. If we did a CoH weekend LAN in The Hague, would you be interested? One of my friends just got a really large house there... We already did one a couple of weeks ago in Groningen.
Its characters.. heroes and villains .. And yes.. That would be way cool. Mail me the details. I have skype too.

ps.. My main is a villain on Union. Runs one of the bigger Villain SG's too.

I don't think I'll be level 45 in a month, and certainly not +4/x8, so I wish you good luck.

I'll try to be online to see what this Rikti stuff is about. If I understand you correctly, it will be all over the place, or is it in specific zones?

    Thanks for answering.

The LGTF will trigger an invasion. When that happens it will be announced... and we will also announce it again. One zone will be invaded by Rikti. Bomb/Drop ships will drop bombs... and when those are gone the Rikti will teleport in... gathering around groups of heroes (they actually target the characters walking around). The bigger these groups are... the bigger the Rikti assault on them will be resulting in an epic battle and lots of badges that come with it.

Am I correct that this is about 2 things:

    - Apparently there is a thing called a Double XP Weekend. (I see some info on the Paragon Wiki and a message in the Announcement forum)

    - On this weekend Sophia Llriandri and/or Liz Bathory want to organize something special. I gather from the info on Paragon wiki about Lady Grey that this is at least 45+?

Would anybody be so kind to explain things to a newbie like me? Thanks.
Yes... I came up with an idea to get the old gang (so to speak) together on our mains. Some of those mains (or namesakes that we started on for some many years ago) need dusting off in these days of many many alts.

I vented the idea to do something special and found ear with Sophia and Damz... they fleshed it out as a Rikti event. That is actually the best way to do a thing like this... See.. the old mains/namesakes are almost all heavy overpowered by now, many already do +1/x8 or higher solo. Most are several years old at least. So we can do something really challenging.

I think it will run like this...

    - Lady Grey Task Force (45+) on +4/x8. Several teams at the same time ... This will trigger Rikti invasions in both Paragon and the Isles. We might even make it a race for a kill all. Not sure if that is possible.

    - The invasions are able to be joined in by all levels. The overpowered toons go and do their best taking down a drop ship. These dropships can actually be defeated but they are almost impossible strong. There is no badge for them either. Something I still don't understand. But it is some prestige to do so, due to the difficulty.

All lower level characters can attack the Rikti on the ground. There will be plenty of them to feel overpowered.

    - Followed by a Mothership Raid for those who still have time.

This all happens on the weekend the devs have stated as 'double XP weekend'. Something we get once in a while as present/event. During that weekend all xp, prestige and Inf will be doubled on all drops and all bonuses alike. A huge event with so many overpowered toons will make the inf and prestige (most of them will be 50 and the few 45+ will be 50 withing minutes) intake go skyhigh!

The sequence will take about 2-3 hours.... and can then be repeated at will. Depends on how many are online and willing.

ps. If the LGTF seems too easy on +4/x8 I can also fire up a challenging AE arc at the same repp. I know some, including my own one... that are downright murder at that repp.
pps. It keeps enough room free to alt over directly after the event to a lower toon in order to get some xp there.
  4. Just a heads-up in what I had in mind for specifics here...

I like to re-unite all old unionites. And at the same time do something epic! Meaning as much as a gathering of namesakes... often 'mains'.

the LGTF will be +4/x8, and will trigger an invasion. After we will try and bring a dropship down. I know it can be done.. but its really hard.

Erzsébet Báthory always was a slightly powermad control freak. In life she kept complete control over her subjects and punished those who would question her authority. She has a personal fetish in inflicting pain and suffering. And she would just like the freedom to do so whenever she feels like.

Her search for more power and knowledge goes far. Especially into the dark arts. Which often use sacrifices of human flesh and blood. As she sees her subjects as worthless anyway those where always easy to get.

Now all this was before she became a vampire through a deal with demonic forces. Which also increased her magical powers.

Her goals are still the same... freedom to act and power to keep that freedom. Now it just also includes blood to feed upon and keep her young (filling her blood bath). And ultimatly... her position made many enemies. She hates being opposed... and needs to safeguard her position. So enemies should be eridicated! This is just an neccesity... there is no real hatred here. They are worthless beings like all the rest anyway. Just with power enough to annoy her and her plans.

Ofcourse she has a lot of fun playing with her subjects... So although world domination would be nice... there is no way she goes for world destruction. All those happy meals on legs are there just to serv her... or feed her in time. Whatever comes first!

  6. The dress is the bridal one... the black obscures it a bit. Not that it matters... she likes all long dresses and sexy splits. Aristocratic personality. Knock yourself out on that...

  7. Updated profile info and password... now to redownload the tools... and check my characters.

Nice to see this back again.
  8. I love Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was a terrible story entirely. It was just a shame they made it that way.

The part 1-3 of Star Wars wherent bad.. they where just not that good as 4-6. And will never be as our point of view changed. For Star Wars there is just a single way to see who hates the movie and who not. Will you honestly say you will not goto the Phantom Menace 3D in the cinema?

The problem is.. how long do you stay trying if its not dropping fast? I would instantly stop buying the moment the wolf drops.
  11. I might place only 'Command of the Mastermind: Recharge/Pet +AoE Defense Aura' on my 'Soul Extraction'. I dont even care if the recharge works or not if I do that. I only want the def bonus for the pets.

But it should work. And recharge for the pet powers would completely bork the AI in power uses :S So I gather it will only work on the summon power recharge.
  12. one uncommon / rare ina pack guaranteed. That is a 10% drop of the pack?
a very rare might be 25% chance its a vr instead of a rare.

the Black Wolf will never drop for less then 200 packs bought. And even then your extremely lucky.

It is the only pet my vampire witch main would ever want, and I am not spending close to 200-300 dollars on it .. ever!

Cant you make the wolf pet a reward for a huge tf or trial? I fight off all Arch heroes and more one by one to get it.
  13. 95% is useless to me. Only the emental costume parts (rare) and teh almost impossible to get Black Wolf pet (0,3% Very Rare?!).

I would pay 600 point for the wolf alone. I still am not buying any gamble pack at all.
  14. Awesome News!!!!!!!!! Awe-some....

Wil be so handy... just hope you port more things female > male and male > female when you have another of these 'free' days.

Be carefull of the popularity you gain doing this though. We are known to smother with hugs.

The bubbly look is from the old concept in the comics. Lookup 'Kirby Dots' and old cosmic energy blastst from characters like 'Silver Surfer'.

We, of course, have the technology to code enemies yellow.
Having Arachnos in Grandville ping yellow to me would really grant a feeling of rulership, control and accomplishment.

Likewise, having (possibly invisibly) tracked stats regarding your status with various baddie groups, so that working with - or intimidating - them sufficiently would make them reluctant to engage you would be a fun thing to have as badges: "Invader Ally", "Master/Mistress of the Carnival", "More Trouble than He's/She's Worth" (Malta), "Arbiter Emeritus", "Honorary Freak", "Enemy of the State" (Council), "Gear not Turned but Turning" (Nemesis), that kind of thing.

That's just my opinion, of course.
    Love this IDEA!!!!

At lvl 50 mission its not doing anything wrong for me. It gives me at least a position of hig hrank among Arachnos.. and as such respect from its members. So the minions are also my minions. And not against me.

For lvl 50 missions this would be way COOL!

I had a discussion with GG once on this....

Would you kill the always returning world and human life threatening villain. In my case even a vampire who is already dead. Would you destroy / kill her!?

    She said 'No'...

So I felt pretty untouchable whahahahaaha...

Other heroes have made that choice... Wonder Woman is one. Brought up as a warrior she killed to keep the planet safe. A farmer boy as Superman would never. And Batman is fundemental against taking a human life. But it is not smart to keep an always returning danger loose/alive.

Every government in the world would agree that if its 'for the greater good' a villainous descision can be made. How many 'heroes' would have shot Adolf Hitler down in cold blood?

I would love to see a heroic mission like this.. I really do.

Maybe Malta has a bunch of meta humans captured in some kind of power draining machine, you can use the controls to kill them off and infuse yourself with their power granting you a 24 hour temp power similar to the mortimer kal one. But if you want this temp power you have to deal with becoming a villain.

So all those heroes who like to take the moral high ground, but still try to kill off Infernia and Glacia to make the Lady Grey Task Force go quicker, have to deal with the consequences of not sticking with their morals. I know there would be a whole mountain of problems with a system like this unfortunately, but it's still a cool idea.
Way cool idea. It gets my vote!
  19. In a co-op mish I would love the following possibiliy...

One of my choices end up joining the big enemy.. and from that moment I am in PVP mode on the side of teh main villain vs. the rest of the team who vhoose to fight him.

And if he and I (and possible others who picked my choice) wins we get a temp power.

Will also make PVP have some sense again.
  20. My very first toon I ever created is still the one that gets all the shinies first... gets completely min-max-ed when possible and is my badger.

    So the answer is yes!!

  22. I am willing to set up an ITF again where we do a 'Shard Run' (=kill all) on +3 or +4...

When I usually give this option people are scared or don't have the time.

Is the OP willing to join such a run?
  23. when I see a gold farming add I usually directly reply with the explenation that any use of their services is an illegal move and can result in receving a permanent ban! Plus an explenation on how to put the man on ignore.

Mighty annoying for him I gather. Can we all do that?
