So the last 50 years of Woman's Liberation have been great.
Then this kind of thing happens. -
Of course the most important thing to have happened since then is my successful transition into a Pants Free lifestyle.
-
And Lion-o's dad is the voice of the original Lion-o! Haven't read anything about this ahead of time so that's probably common knowledge, but I liked it.

Quote:I love people who get outraged over not getting the free bonus thing they were specifically told the provider reserved the right to change at any time. One thing that I was wondering that a friend of mine brought up--that he is planning on canceling the game over, in fact--is what about the free character slots we currently receive? I mean, I know we'll keep the ones we have going into Freedom, but I don't believe the new vet reward system has those listed anywhere. Will we still get them just as an automatic every year thing? My friend says he's being cheated out of the character slot he would have gotten in November or so.

Card, no. Software drivers, quite possibly. Step 1 would be to check your graphics settings and see if you can lower the ones for Water first and if that solves the problem.
-
We're more likely to get Pay-For levels than we are a total respec. Not only are there huge technical hurdles, it would be like ringing the dinner bell for power levelers and account sellers.
-
A) when we were given Walk, it was meant to be a show offy downtime power. Specifically, it's a bad idea to use it at any time when you might be attacked.
B) the follow AI for rescues/hostages isn't great, but never so bad that you need to use Walk. Hostages are meant to be less likely to follow than someone you're rescuing, because they don't actually want to go with you. You need to watch them a little more closely. Even so, I've never had issues even with inherent Fitness as long as I stop whenever they get 40-50 feet behind, or at corners or other places they can get hung up. -
-
Also note that the trip from 1-20 doesn't take very long. People are there, they're just being moved through the 6 zones pretty quickly.
-
I myself want more stores and places to go into, not less. The longer I play the more seeing people standing in the same spot out on the street/alley/tunnel/wherever 24-7 get's on my nerves.

Quote:Thanks Posi. One less reason to chase our own tails.Anything you have earned via the Vet Reward system will be pre-selected for you in the Paragon Rewards Program. This way you can't put a character into a state where they have a reward they have not selected yet.
Thankfully I will always have reason #1- because it's fun! -

Quote:Ran it last night to check, and it is now more like Lag Median Strip with a few pathetic flowers on it.Yesterday the devs were encouraging folks to do an ITF on Test so they can observe it.
Maybe the Valley of Lag is now a Glen of Lag.
I had a pretty much flawless run through that portion of the map and the final map, in terms of not seeing the kind of things I normally see. -
I was actually just came back to post the opposite Mallard. It's my feeling that overall Willpower is much easier (and less expensive) to make awesome. It's highs may not be as high, but it's holes aren't as big, and a little bit of help goes a long long way in terms of IO sets and WP.

Quote:1) They're making the new tutorial a major part of the ongoing advancement of the story of the game.Reasons why it will be Back Alley Brawler who bites it:
1) The zone he is found in is being destroyed, so removing his character model won't affect anything, because his model is being removed anyway.
2) Of the 8 possibilities, he is the only one who is not a Task Force contact. That means rewriting a Task Force will not be necessary.
3) He is the only character among the 8 possibilities who duplicates another's exact powersets and AT. Statesman and Back Alley Brawler are both Invuln/SS tanks.
4) The devs are probably going to ensure that all 5 basic Hero ATs remain represented among the games signature characters. There are THREE tanks among them: Statesman, BaBs, and Citadel.
5) He has very little presence in the game at large, only appearing in 5 missions total. Removing him from Recluse's Victory won't have much effect, he can easily be replaced by Citadel.
6) The developer who used him as his redname alias no longer works for Paragon Studios. It is unlikely that anyone else will take up the mantle, and equally unlikely they will kill off a character being actively used as someone's redname. It also isn't too likely they will kill off one who has not been used yet.
7) His inclusion in the tutorial will ensure that new players become familar with him prior to his death. It has very little impact when a character you've never encountered is killed, and ALL of his in game appearances happen after level 30.
(Synapse will probably be safe for reasons 2, 4, and 6. He is a TF contact, he is the only Blaster representative in the Phalanx, and is currently being actively used as a developer's redname alias.)
All of those reasons add up to Back Alley Brawler making the most sense to kill off as a major game event. He is an iconic character in the universe, but is not so widely present that a lot of retconning would need to occur if he dies.
2) They've already said they have no qualms rewriting things to account for this event, in fact I'd say that a moribund old-school TF that needs a revamp would be MORE reason to suspect one of the others, not less.
3 and 4) It's not like they've worried about that kind of parity before. Look at redside, not only are there multiples, other ATs aren't represented at all. Besides, not sure where you got the idea Citadel was a Tanker. He's a Blaster according to the wiki. And seriously, replace BaB with Citadel?
5) So? Outside of TFs, most of the 8 don't appear in many other places. Also, see #2
6) You forgot the "much liked and respected" part of your former dev description. Out of the 8 with real world analogues, he's probably the most liked overall (sorry Posi and Manti). While they're looking to have a big event, I don't think they're looking to gratuitously piss people off.
7) You argue the fact that he doesn't show up much is reason to bump him off, and you argue that the fact they're making him show up more is reason to bump him off? /em befuddled
8) there's something you forgot: BaBs doesn't use a bow. Sure it could be a red herring or the first of many pictures that apply to any of the 8, but until that happens there's nothing to say that image can be safely ignored. -

Quote:A dominator and an MM, both slotted only with found IOs.What characters were they?
Both of which took place in hazard zones, explicitly designed for groups. Praetoria hits you with worse in solo missions.
As for my examples, they may be in hazard zones, but you're sent there (quite a lot) by regular contacts in city zones, and there's no sort of warning when you get the mission that you need to watch out, like there are in tougher Praet missions. -
I should be good then. All the names I pick are only amusing and good to me.

Apart from the snake GM, and lore pets, all those things will still exist. They're not getting rid of them, just making it so the progression doesn't feel like Snake-a-palooza. I suggest running Operative Grillo's content if you've never done it, as that is designed to be the completion of the circle in terms of Snakes. Going back as a 45+ villain and trashing them and trashing Stheno is well worth it.

Quote:But I will say this. I will never do Praetoria ad a lowbie ever again due to the fact that the foes there are a LOT harder than normal foes. I got my butt handed to me over and over. It was a tedious slog due to the enhanced difficulty.
I've seen people say this a lot, and I'm still wrapping my head around it. I've run 2 characters through Praetorian content now, and just never run into the kind of travails people seem to be encountering. Both times I ran mostly solo, and on base difficulty. Both times, I only encountered 1-2 missions that were at all problematic, and most of my difficulties were solved by getting a full load of Inspires and giving my full attention.
Nothing even approaching the difficulty inherent in "Hunt 10 CoT in Perez Park" or the Atta mission, or getting across the Hollows in the old days. Praetoria was a breeze. -

Quote:They only had one ad because only one company would pay for it. It was a wasted effort, as any advertising director worth their salt would look at the numbers of people playing this game and laugh at any amount of money someone tried to charge them.I believe the OP was talking about player events, rather than little pieces of world flavour of the storyverse.
I'd like to see something done with double-fusion again, it was just a little poorly executed last time when they only had /one/ ad up there instead of a rotation of many.
When a local TV ad gets your message in front of more eyes that care about your product than a year's worth of ads in this game would, there's no comparison.
