I like the original. I don't add the COH or COV logos to any of mine because, well, I already know what game I'm booting, and most of the time it just screws the screenshot up.
Maybe the logos could go in the black bar at the top, like in this image. -

That would be a fairly simple little program to code (if you're a programmer), although it would be on a certain interval. It would most likely not be possible to check when you logged out, but other than that...

Ah, but it's quite possible to check when you log in. Replace the icon you use to start COH with a small program that puts a random coh.texture in the right directory and then starts CohUpdater, and you'll have a new screen every time you start the game. -

I only picked GI so I could slot a LotG recharge proc in it. I never use the power. Then again in another controller I five-slotted Brawl so I could get the Crushing Impact recharge bonus, so...

Can't they just rework the damn thing to be an 8-man TF/Trial and be done with it? With all the IO set bonuses nowadays, the IOPs have pretty much lost their appeal. I don't know anyone willing to risk their base being blown up in a "real" raid just because of an extra 5% damage or somesuch.
Base raids can still happen and be fun, but the whole "destroy my base to steal my IOP" mechanic should be forgotten. Ditch scheduled raids. Make the COP an 8-man trial that awards a non-tradable RECIPE for an IOP, which requires salvage drops only available in the trial. Then your SG can run it as many times as needed, and then craft the IOP they want for their base. -

Well, I created a MySpace account just to add COH as a friend. I'll probably never bother visiting it after this, but the way I see it, the more people befriend COH, the better chances someone browsing MySpace and looking for a new MMO will try it.

While I won't bash i9 and the invention system, my main thought when thinking of it is, "good, with that out of the way they can start making new story content for i10".
The STF is new content, but entirely too short and since I don't care about the loot, I don't have a reason to run it repeatedly. And the new Hamidon encounter doesn't count; the way to take him down has changed, but the entire backstory remains the same, so no new story content there. -
I think there's an error in this crossword puzzle, unless I'm not getting the definition right. 21 down is "699 in Rome", with 4 letters. But 699 in roman numerals is DC XC IX...
