  1. I usually swap my arcane salvage for other people's tech salvage if they don't want it.
  2. I'm not sure, all I've noticed is people hanging about in midair when I've immobed them with anything, the holds drop your fly toggle anwyays, so you plummet to the ground nicely.
  3. Still, it's enough to pop away at most characters, with ED I've slotted a lot of my electrical attacks with a couple of endurance drains and it seems to make a noticeable difference over time.
  4. Grab a kin/elec defender and let the toggles drop!

    is it just me...

I lvoe being a dominator, a couple of dominators in a team are very effective at locking down most things!
  6. AFAIK, floor trim does not extend into the doorways.

To remove the floor trim, you need to place an object that will overlap the floor trim either on the floor or on the wall, things like lamps, toilet doors, shrubbery, computers and so on are great for removing them, likewise for the ceiling trim as well. If you don't want a trim, you need to "interrupt" it with a decorative or practical item.

I would like to see the trims continued through the doorways myself though, and/or have an option for them to be disabled in a room if you want.
  7. I really like the arcane styles you can get with the editor, I'd like to see more pics of your base!
  8. I've been playing with some decorations in our SG base.

    Teleporter Room
    Infirmary
    More Infirmary
  9. I managed to reel off domination a few times in PvP - combined with power boost you can single handedly punch through the resistance brought by a break free, or clear mind. But multiple applications of said buffs will reduce the effectiveness of your holds. But it's good fun nonetheless.
  10. Yeah, kinda looking at it, Bone Smasher has a much higher BI than power push... Power push however has one serious knockback component, which turns out to be amusing in hunting down people with TP/SS/SJ in Bloody Bay. However, I really should get something with a nice -fly component, but other than holds all I can think of is air superiority.
  11. The trick with this build is to use wormhole and then dimension shift to effectively cut any group of enemies in half, Dimension Shift is IIRC unresistable, hence it can take tanks and scrappers out of combat easily.

The slotting's not perfect I know, and so far I'll only make this go up to 40. Ancillary pools might sway my decisions.

Also, I think whirling hands is a bit duff for PvP, but it really helps in PvE situations, hence why I'm taking it for now (But might drop it in a higher level respec)

  12. It's great as it gives your whole team un-suppressabel superjump. Laustin uses this and a combination of hover w/siphon speed as his travel powers.

    PC Zone Pictures

Yeah! Check out my backside! mmm!

I was summoning a phantasm at the time.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
I didn't ask for the bar to be full as soon as we enter the zone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aw no, it's just how I get around the problem of having no domination when you enter a zone. I do think domination should go up faster while PvPing definately. Makes it much nicer for arena fights.
  15. I've found you're a walking bomb if you do a PvE mission and just don't use domination while you're in there.

Oooooh yeah, you walk INTO the zone with a full domination bar! WAAHHOOO!!!
  16. AFAIK, howling twilight is auto-hit.

It is freaking awesome mind, debuffing the enemy ridiculously whilst rezzing any fallen teammates around you... Ace!
  17. Hi, I have a few questions about controller PvP:

Hi! There's nothing more fun than being a PvP controller.

    1. What effect does confuse (I'm a mind/kin) have on another player? I've used it effectively on pets but just spammed it as part of an attack/hold chain so far.
Confuse makes people's pets attack everyone on the field, their target occasionally changes as well, they get conufsed as to who is a friend or foe, also, AoE attacks, buffs, holds etc. Affect EVERYONE, not just the people it's aimed at.

    2. Am I right in thinking that siphon power has a - regen?
Nope, removes 25% of their base damage, bit pants I know as SOs in damage can buff people up really high. Mind you, fulcrum shift is great in big battles.

    3. I'm having problems hitting sometimes - I assume it's due to something I read about a 50% base accuracy - but I would appreciate feedback on this.
Pop some yellows, they might have popped some purples, or some classes have a high def. Eg SR scrappers and stalkers.

    4. At my level is there much I can do to mitigate the danger of assassin strikes? In a team, I am taken out first every time (which makes me kinda chuffed).
Yellow insps and tactics are your friend. These increase your perception. Meaning more of a chance to spot them guys.
  18. Is the mega monitor the one you get after gaining 5 other badges?
  19. Yeah, my Merc/Dark MM managed to kick it's fair share of booty in PvP - mainly 1 on 1's mind, really hard to stop the damage coming when you're a controller! ^^

That said, if a dominator can stay alive long enough to use domination... then we have an insta-tank killer on our hands IMHO.
  20. Yeah, previous slotting reccomendations for Tactics et al is to have them 6 slotted with the buff they give. I think having 3 defense SOs and 2-3 End Redux SOs in manoeveurs is a good way to go now. Along with Tactics, They're very good because they'll reduce the effectiveness of enemies attacking you, that extra 20% or so can really make a difference so they're not crap powers.

That said, Serum seems a little skippable, but I find it handy when I need it. Best wait to see how it looks when used on a commando.
  21. Why are manoeveurs and serum bad power choices?

Wait until you get yourself SO's, and them leadership powers will really come into their own. Also, Serum's great as an OMFGBBQ!!11oneone power when you REALLY need it.
  22. We'll see you back here in a year mate!
  23. Ill/Kin controller - willing to show anyone thinking of making a kinetics or illusion controller the ropes. I'm a bit light on kinetics powers, but illusion I have tons of.
  24. Couldn't live without sparkly bits flying behind me.

Seriously, I love my phantasm, I use my buffs on it and the phantasm never ceases to amaze me, not only with it's stupid aiming/target picking, but at least it helps with aggro dispersement. (Which is a very strong point of illusion, BTW) - enabling me to sit about and concentrate on holding and mullering that Lt/Boss/badger I see.
  25. To be honest, I favour the Mastermind to be closest to the tank primary?

    Why?

Because my minions are my meatshields! Seriously, if anyone in a fight is to keel over, it'll be the MM's minions, and if they all go - followed by the MM itself. A bit like a good tanker in CoH - it soaks up the damage other ATs can't handle themselves.
