Dominators or Brutes are both sterling PvP/PvE choices. Stalkers are stronger on the PvP side, Masterminds and Corruptors on the PvE side.
This of course goes out the window when you get multiples of anything doing PvE or PvE against smaller numbers!
Pets arent actually useless in PvP, my MM can hold his own against few heroes and he's only L20.

I've been having alot of success with my corruptor so far...
I think the PvP effectiveness of corruptors are probably quite build specific
MMs pets were quite effective in the Bloody Bay invasion and I was impressed with how well they worked solo and en mass. Grouped they made targeting hard for my warshade as there was so many of the damn things running around

Yeah, my Merc/Dark MM managed to kick it's fair share of booty in PvP - mainly 1 on 1's mind, really hard to stop the damage coming when you're a controller! ^^
That said, if a dominator can stay alive long enough to use domination... then we have an insta-tank killer on our hands IMHO.
An Ice/Dark corruptor would be a pain to fight I think. The holds and fluffy and damage

My lvl 26 NRG/inv Brute is pretty damn good in pvp, aside from my kills in Bloody bay I had a one on one test in Sirens with a Lvl 50 inv/mace tanker. Bear in mind in Sirens we were both matched to lvl 30 but my powers are largely unslotted and without an SO in sight 
To be fair he was in i5 spec. We were fighting without any running away or insp and I was causing far more damage than he was and getting stronger with each blow but sadly my endurance let me down in the end
Once slotted I am sure hes gonna be a great PVPer

Which class on the villian side is good for both PvE and PvP? because i want to be good in PvE and be able to kick some Heroes in a PvP fight to, I've tried a MasterMind and the concept, but i've realised that pets are almost useless in PvP?
So any tips?
